Chapter 74. And What Would You Do?

Twenty-five minutes later,
In the principal’s office were three women, two looking at a silver-haired woman. They just listened to the Healer, and no one interrupted her. “We are asked to remain calm because the magical fence that the witches have created has protected this orphanage.”
The blue-eyed woman had not said anything, as if she was still digesting all the information she had received, while her colleague was also still silent. Ethnia looked at the two women alternately, and the silence between them created awkwardness, but it was not yet obvious.
“Did you wake up when that immortal goddess did not tell you who she really was?” Madame Aufodine finally started asking Ethnia after she had been silent for several minutes.
“No, she did not tell me her name, Madame. But, for some reason, I was sure that she was Goddess Magia, so our lady didn’t want to appear.” The woman who had been a Healer at the orphanage for seventeen years answered honestly. When they heard the name Queen of Witches mentioned, the two other women in the room were shocked, and then they looked at each other. Ethnia observed Madame Aufrodine and Loiston’s expressions, which looked frightened but happy.
“If Goddess Magia came to you, even though in your dream, wouldn’t Goddess Erie be angry?” This time, Madame Loiston asked Ethnia because she was doubtful about the interlocutor’s statement, which seemed absurd to her.
“Our Lady is a goddess who loves peace and does not like to interfere in the affairs of other immortal gods or goddesses, so if Goddess Magia enters my dream, then it is definitely with her approval.” A woman wearing the white dress was sure that Goddess Erie had given permission to the Moon Goddess, so that the virgin could communicate with her without any obstacles.
“Hm… Ethnia’s reasons are pretty reasonable, too. I will not deny that if an immortal god or goddess dares to enter someone’s dreams, especially if she is a devotee of another god or goddess, then there could be special permission. ” Madame Aufrodine supports Ethnia’s statement so that women who have moles on the right cheek and also on the right nose will be very relieved.
“I want to send a letter to Madama Tetrha. Do you think it is a good idea, Madame Loiston?” The bitchy-faced woman asked her co-worker, so the attention of the other two women was drawn to her.
“If you do not mind, may I read that letter, Madame Aufrodine?” Loiston was interested in what his friend had written, so he asked Lenny’s permission without hesitation, while Ethnia was just a good listener.
“Sure, you may.” The thirty-eight-year-old woman turned her attention to the table. The atmosphere was quiet again, but that did not mean that the conversation that had been created between Madame Aufrodine and Madame Loiston had stopped. Ethnia did not dare to ask any of them, and the girl only occasionally glanced to the left and right of where she was sitting.
In less than a minute, Aufrodine took a roll of parchment and then handed it to Loiston. “You can read it.”
“Thank you.”
The red-haired woman accepted the parchment and afterward began to read what was written there carefully. Meanwhile, Aufrodine and Ethnia were still silent, as if they were busy with their own thoughts. The Healer was still holding a wooden box containing a magic wand and several containers containing potions that she had prepared herself. There were no bad visions or premonitions yet, so the girl became a little calmer.
I have not had any strange visions like yesterday. I hope that Oddesa, Drena, Frazto, Drutz, and Shul are okay. As I thought, the five of them were almost driven crazy by that ghost figure. I wish so, thought Ethnia, who saw Madame Loiston and Aufrodine. She did not want to disturb the atmosphere, so remaining silent was wise for her.
When she finished reading her close friend’s letter, a woman had freckles on her face, although she did not look too much at that principal. “I think the contents of this letter are very safe. You also did not write anything strange so that it can be sent as soon as possible. If I can give a suggestion, do not forget to tell Madame Tetrha to burn this letter or all the letters you sent to her. If there is something undesirable, such as someone not liking her position or anything happening, then she will not be made difficult or punished.”
“That is a great idea! Thank you, Madame Loiston.” The tall, slender woman was grateful to have been blessed with an intelligent and wise deputy chairman, so that the ideas given by the person she was talking to, especially those that made sense, could be used by Madame Aufrodine. Meanwhile, Ethnia remained silent while listening to the discussion between the two women nearby.
Loiston raised an eyebrow because she heard her best friend calling her name using the formal name they always use when in front of other people. Before the green-eyed woman asked her, Aufrodine gave a signal through eye movements so that the person she was talking to turned to the other side, only to realize that Ethnia was there.
It seemed for a moment that Loiston seemed to have forgotten that Ethnia was here because she was too concentrated on the roll of parchment he had been reading. The Healer did not feel offended, even though the girl knew that the two main administrators of the orphanage had discussed it, even without direct words. “You are welcome, Madame Aufrodine. And what would you do then? Do you just keep quiet, or maybe there is another strategy?”
“Referring to Ethnia’s dream, I will not do anything. However, I will add writing as you have suggested, Madame Loiston. After that, I will send this letter to Madame Tetrha and wait for her answer.” A woman, who had a height of one hundred and seventy-two centimeters tall explained her plan to the two women still in the same room with her.
The red-haired woman focused on Ethnia, so the girl became uncomfortable because of it. “Do you have any ideas? I know that your goddess does not want to answer, let alone interfere in the affairs of the other immortal god or goddess, but as her devotee, don’t you have any personal suggestions for me and Madame Aufrodine?”
“If I give a suggestion, Madame Aufrodine and Madame Loiston may use my advice or not. It all depends on you. You can try to pray to Lord Brazakh. He is the God of Justice and will help anyone who asks him, but if the person is truly honest and considered innocent in his judgment.” The woman, whose full name was Atmasa Meightarta, could only come up with an idea like that because she knew that the god could help, even though some terms and conditions apply.
Both Lenny and Apple fell silent after hearing the suggestion from the person in charge of the health room at their orphanage. The two women stared at each other, making the Healer feel awkward.
What was wrong with them? Have I done something wrong? Wasn’t Madame Loiston herself the one who asked for advice from me, and after the advice was given, the two of them looked strangely like this, thought Ethnia, who regretted her excellent deed if it turned out to be misinterpreted like that.
“Is worshipping the God Brazakh the same as we worship the Goddess Asiles, or is there a difference?” Madame Aufrodine took the idea seriously, so Ethnia was relieved by it.
“If I am not mistaken, there are no differences. You just need to find out in the book what offerings Lord Brazakh likes. After that, you can make an altar to place his statue, offerings, incense and candles.” A woman who has been a healer for seventeen years advised that the investigator who asked could immediately apply the advice.
“Thank you, Ethnia.” Aufrodine was grateful to have received helpful advice so that the excessive worry that almost made her want to commit suicide was much reduced. Meanwhile, Loiston remained silent, as if she was thinking about something and did not want to reveal this openly.
“You are welcome, Madame Aufodine.” Ethnia was too lazy to stay in the principal’s room for too long, so she took the initiative to end the conversation as soon as possible. The blue-eyed woman realized the other person’s anxiety, so she did not want to keep the girl there.
When the woman with a bitchy face was about to tell the Healer to leave her office, suddenly… “Ethnia, does Lord Brazakh have certain times, aka we have to pray to him at special times?”
Out of the blue, Loiston came up with an idea, so Ethnia’s desire to leave the place disappeared as soon as possible. “If I am not mistaken, Lord Brazakh can be visited at any time as long as he is worshipped respectfully and properly. He does not like it when we say rude things, let alone lie when telling stories to him.”
“Hm… I see, then did you know that-”
