Chapter 56. How Can I Get Out of Here?

Book:Alexa The Dark Witch Published:2024-8-20

In Alexa’s dream,
The rain was still drenching the forest area. The young lady who had been soaking wet was still standing in a house with an occupant. “When will this rain end? No. How can I wake up? Why do I feel like I am stuck in dreamland, anyway? It is so cold,” Alexa muttered, holding her upper arm.
The virgin began to see lightning. Alexa did not understand what she had done to cause her to get caught in the rain and not wake up. That young lady seemed to be deliberately made like that, even though the weather was not favorable for her desire to leave there, even though the Chosen One was looking forward to returning to the real world as soon as possible.
“I wish someone would help me get out of this place. I am really confused because it is so surreal here.” Alexa was already shaking, as she had not changed at all.

Meanwhile, inside the house,
“Did you see that girl over there? Why hasn’t she come in yet?” A red-haired man asked the woman who was opening the cupboard in the kitchen. However, the other person did not answer, as she preferred to concentrate on what she was doing. After getting the desired object, the girl turned around while looking at the opposite sex.
“Just leave her there. We asked her to come in, but she insisted on being outside.” The long-haired woman finally answered the man’s question. She did not seem to be smiling, so her face seemed cynical, when it was not.
“Why don’t you and Ai push her harder? She could have fainted if left out in the cold for too long. You two have already seen and met her, right?” A young guy with many freckles in the facial area regretted the interlocutor’s decision. The oval-faced woman just kept quiet, not caring about the situation of the stranger who had been freezing, but when told to come in, she refused the offer.
“Yes, of course, we have seen and met that girl. So what was the point? Sam, do not be crazy. If that foreign girl still refuses our invitation, do not force her to do so! She will think that we are a bunch of criminals! So, I just let her stay there to show that Ai and I respect her decision.” The one-hundred-and-seventy-six-centimeter-tall woman explained her argument, reluctant to be accused of that by the opposite sex.
The man exhaled heavily. His face seemed sad. “Okay, if you say so. Where are Ai and Aiden? Are they in the living room?” Sam deliberately diverted the conversation by asking another question, having grown tired of arguing with the woman standing not far from him.
“Before I came here, if I am not mistaken, I saw Ai in her room and Aiden in the living room.” A fierce-faced woman answered the question, so the other person nodded and then quickly left the girl alone.
“Why is Sam feeling sorry for that strange woman, anyway? I do not know her anyway, so why worry?” muttered the green-eyed woman, annoyed.

At the front of the house
The first daughter of the couple, Tristian Varden Writh and Lavena Isolda Keira, was shivering from the cold. The rain had not stopped yet, which made the girl even more anxious. “I want to go back to the real world. Why did I get stuck here for so long? Who can help me?” muttered the girl, who was already pale.
In desperation, suddenly, that young lady remembered a name, so she looked up, precisely looking towards the sky with a shiver. “O, Lord Brazakh, my name is Alexa. Alexa Jocelyn Heart. I have no parents and have always been the target of abuse from my friends at the orphanage.” The teenage girl seemed to start praying.
“Lord Brazakh, please help me. I want to go back to the real world or make me able to move to another dreamland, which is not as dangerous as it is now. I am afraid that if my body cannot bear the cold for too long, I can get sick. Please have mercy on me.” Just as Alexa finished saying these words, her headache became so dizzy that she was unable to continue praying. The young lady’s vision became blurry, confusing the messenger of Goddess Magia.
“What the-”
The pretty girl fell over before Alexa could finish her sentence, causing a crash. She lay on the ground and could no longer see anything. That incident made two young men in the living room immediately frown and then look at each other. “Did you hear a strange noise, Sam?” asked a silver-haired man.
“Yeah, I heard that. Maybe it came from outside,” Sam replied, wide-eyed. “Aiden, follow me!”
The name’s owner was confused, but she followed her friend, who had reached the door first and opened the object. Sam saw Alexa lying on the ground as the rain continued to pound her body mercilessly. “My gut was right! This girl fainted!”
Without hesitation, the one-hundred-and-eighty-centimeter tall guy approached the opposite sex’s body and picked him up. His friend, still unaware of what had happened, only watched Samuel’s actions, and a million questions began to arise in the lanky young man’s mind.
“Ai! Line!” the boy shouted, impatient. When they heard their names being called, the two girls who were in different rooms as soon as possible rushed towards the source of the sound. They were surprised to see their male friend carrying a soaking-wet woman whom they had met when Sam had asked for them.
“What was going on, Sam? What happened with that girl?” asked the short-haired girl, who started staring at the opposite sex’s hands.
“She fainted, probably from the cold. Please change her clothes and let her sleep in your room until she wakes up,” Sam replied, looking at the two women whose faces resembled each other.
“Okay. Bring her to our room. We will handle her.” The other woman replied, so they immediately went to a room.
A gray-eyed young man remained in the same location. That strange event confused him, as he still did not understand what had happened. “What was wrong with Sam, Ai, and Line? Why do they seem to know the strange girl already? Should I follow them?” he muttered, wondering.

In Aileen and Adaline’s room
“Why are you helping her, Sam?” asked Adaline, curious. The girl started arranging the bed with a white plastic sheet that was large enough not to get wet while her sister started opening the suitcase on the left side of the bed as if looking for a change of clothes for the granddaughter of Sir Elmer Louis Writh and Madame Phoenix Lily Katira, who was still in Samuel’s arms.
The water from Alexa’s body dripped heavily on the wooden floor, making the area very wet. Not only that, Samuel’s shirt and pants were also wet, but the young man did not seem to mind at all.
“Do you want her dead in front of this house?” Samuel asked back. He stared intently at Adaline, which made the other person feel bad. The chubby-cheeked male was annoyed that the opposite sex seemed to be challenging him, which was not necessarily the case.
The conversation in the room was interrupted. The room was silent, and both girls were busy with their own activities. “Line, I got the right clothes for her,” Aileen said to the woman who had just finished making the bed.
The long-haired woman turned to the only man there. “Please lay her down here,” Aileen said, pointing at the neatly made bed.
“Okay.”
That guy quickly made his way there, and after arriving at his destination, he laid the first daughter of the couple, Tristian Varden Writh and Lavena Isolda Keira, on a bed that had been covered with a large plastic sheet. Adaline and Aileen observed the target’s body, and the woman with the mole on her right cheek said to her sister, “I think our clothes will fit her, Ai.”
“I think so, Line,” Aileen said. Samuel was relieved, but the feeling was short-lived, as he remembered the health condition of the girl he had never met before.
“I will go first. Please help that girl. I want to see if there is some medicine in this house.” After finishing his sentence, Samuel left the room without further ado and did not forget to close the door from the outside.
The two twin girls were observing Samuel’s behavior, which seemed strange. “Are you thinking what I am thinking, Line?” asked the girl with the mole on her nose.
“Yeah, you know me so well, Ai,” replied the interlocutor, who seemed to understand what Aileen was talking about.
“Let’s help this girl first. But somehow, I feel like that I recognize her, even though I just met her.” Aileen spoke her mind so honestly that Adaline frowned and began to watch Alexa’s face closely. Over time, she felt the same way with her sister.
“In retrospect, it is true what you said, Ai. This girl’s face is very familiar, but I am sure I have only seen her today.” Adaline did not deny what Aileen had said. However, they realized that they could not chat for too long.
” Let’s get to work now!”
