Somewhere far from the orphanage,
“Excuse me, what do you mean?”
A girl with hazel eyes looked confused, so when she was asked such a question, she did not hesitate to ask. At the same time, the interlocutor, who was now in a sitting position, did not want to provide additional information. On the other hand, the other three teenagers who observed the conversation became interested because they wanted to know what a thin young man meant.
“Are you a human being, Alexa?”
The grey-eyed guy still remembered the appearance of a terrible woman who had made him faint. In fact, the strange woman reappeared when Aiden was unconscious and gave two confusing messages, which raised a million questions in his mind.
“I am a human being, Aiden. Why did you ask like that? Are you okay?”
The first daughter of the couple, Tristian Varden Writh and Lavena Isolda Keira, felt her chest become painful. However, in public, she tried to remain calm and not be provoked by the existing situation. The opposite sex had not provided further answers to this question, but that young guy monitors the chosen one. Samuel, Adaline, and Aileen still kept an eye on the conversation that took place between Alexa and Aiden, which seemed strange to them.
“I… I am sorry.”
Only those simple words came out of Aiden’s lips, surprising the other three friends. While that young lady who was a descendant of nobility is even more confused, Alexa chooses not to ask Aiden, who is now avoiding eye contact with him.
“Aiden, you must be tired. Do not think too much.”
A red-haired youth finally opened the conversation, but after a while, no one answered poor Alexa’s question. Aiden just nodded, and he lay back down, closing his eyes. Samuel glanced at his new friend, who looked lethargic because he had received a strange question from his roommate. A feeling of pity rose in his heart, so the man wearing an old, light brown shirt did not ask Alexa.
“Yeah.”
A girl with long black hair turned to her twin sisters. She brought her lips closer to Aileen’s ear. Her elder sister seemed to understand what Adaline wanted to do, so she just let it happen. The situation in thar place was quiet again, and only they could hear the wind blowing the trees. Alexa sat not far from Samuel and then looked blankly at the sky.
“Do you think the rumours that you and I have heard so far are true? Why did something strange happen with Aiden after bringing Alexa to join us? I still remember what one orphan said. We will regret it if we are friends with the weird girl,” Adaline whispered so no one else would hear.
“In my opinion, the rumors that have been circulating all this time are just bullshit. She did nothing that would endanger the safety of Aiden’s life or the rest of us. Many people envy Alexa, because she is pretty and smart,” said Aileen, who used the same intonation as the other person.
“Do you think so?” asked Adaline doubtfully.
“Yes, I do. If Alexa is indeed evil or commits a crime, then we could be certain that she has been killed or injured before, and which girl is the culprit. But, until now, I have never heard of that incident before,” replied Aileen, without the slightest hesitation.
“How about Aiden? The incident of him fainting was unprecedented.” The girl still did not believe the statement from her elder twin sister, so she asked another question, which was all based on her suspicions.
“Everyone can be tired or sick, and, of course, some of them do not want to tell anyone about it, Line. Aiden could have been too tired. Then when he got here, he passed out.” The short-haired girl remained adamant in her belief that Alexa was innocent. She did not see Alexa doing anything suspicious, so Aileen also defended the girl, who was always ostracized in the orphanage where they all lived.
“What if the opposite happened?”
“What if you do not carelessly accuse others? Alexa is just as worried as we are, so there is no way she would hurt one of us. After all, none of us, be it, Sam, you, me, or Aiden, have ever hurt her, so there is no reason for that girl to do anything bad.”
Adaline became silent because all the words of her elder twin sister felt true. Meanwhile, a strange woman was still there. She stood not far from where the five teenagers were. A light breeze hit the bodies of Samuel, Aiden, Adaline, Aileen, and Alexa, making them feel calm and comfortable with the situation.

The five teenagers who live in the orphanage have arrived in front of a building that has been their residence for twelve years. There was no one to open a conversation, while many other children had already returned, having used their free time.
Samuel, Aiden, Aileen, Adaline, and Alexa were joining the queue in an orderly manner so they could enter the house. Many children looked cynically at Alexa, and not a few openly looked away with disgust. The five teenagers who became new friends with the girl who was the victim of bullying there realized this moment. They remained relaxed as if nothing had happened.
I really dislike the situation between me Samuel, Aiden, Aileen, and Adaline. They had been kind enough to take me to a place I usually visited, but something unexpected happened. They said nothing to me since that moment. Should I talk about something with them? I guess so, thought Alexa. She was still observing Adaline’s back, who was standing in front of her.
Just as that young lady was about to open her lips, suddenly…. “Hey, Samuel! You are still hanging out with that witch? Do not you guys feel bad luck?”
Everyone’s gaze was fixed on a girl with curly blonde hair who was crossing her arms in front of her chest. The conditions at the door became tense because of an insulting question. The owner’s name, who turned to the other person, just smiled mockingly, shaking his head.
“What did you say? I meet you now, which brings bad luck, Odessa! I wonder why there are still many people who want to be friends with people like you. You are a pathetic girl I have ever met.”
A beautiful girl’s expression turned sour. Both cheeks were red because the answer given by the opposite sex embarrassed that girl. Aiden, Adaline, and Aileen also smiled. However, they smiled amusedly because Samuel’s words were so piercing that they just succeeded in making Odessa shy. Alexa was grateful because her new friend unexpectedly defended her in front of her enemies.
“You lie! You must-”
That jealous lady did not have time to finish her words because the young man who had many freckles on his face, had already cut her words first. “Enough, Odessa! You are such an annoying, nagging girl! Shut your mouth, because I do not want to hear something from you! Alexa is our friend now, and we will be by her side.”
