Rosiley’s face turned pale. “The kid is gone?”
“Yes, she had a bad fall. When she reached the hospital, the miscarriage was irreversible.”
Her eyes turned red again. However, this time, she lifted her head and pursed her lips to keep the tears from falling.
She took a deep breath and forced out a smile that made her look even more terrible than when she was crying. “That’s fine. It would be terrible for the child to have a heartless mother like Rorey anyways.”
As she spoke, tears still flowed down her face.
She felt sad for the baby, who had died without seeing this beautiful world.
Sachin hugged her tight, burying her face into his chest. The piercing pain in her heart resulted in tears that wet his shirt.
As the scorching tears burnt his chest, his eyes were filled with helplessness.
His girl was too kind.
Qing City, Hospital.
Yunis walked out of the doctor’s office like a man who had just lost his soul. He staggered forward before sliding down slowly with his back on the wall. Lifting his head up, he covered his eyes with his hand.
“Sorry, we didn’t manage to save your child. By the time your wife arrived here, the baby had already passed away.”
The doctor’s apologetic tone still rang in his ears as a trail of tears fell from his face.
Originally, he had thought that he had no emotions attached to the kid. However, when he heard that the baby was gone, his heart still ached uncontrollably.
That was his child, the child that his parents had been anticipating, gone like the wind.
Gone.
When Rorey woke up, she touched her belly unconsciously as her pupils dilated.
Her child was gone!
There were still needles in Rorey’s hands but she struggled to sit upright, turning around when she saw a figure at the corner of her bed.
It was Yunis.
Her eyes turned red in an instant. “Yunis, our child is gone.”
Yunis didn’t speak a single word, merely staring at her coldly.
At this instant, Rorey realized that there was something wrong with him. She immediately frowned, “Yunis, are you alright?”
Yunis curved his lips into a cold smile. “Rorey, you must be happy now.”
“What are you talking about?” Rorey thought that she misheard him.
“I said, with the child gone, you must be happy now,” Yunis repeated himself.
Hearing that, Rorey could not help but laugh out loud, tears flowing out of her eyes amidst her laughter.
“Why would I be happy with the child gone?” she asked.
“I knew you wanted to be famous, to get a firm standing in the entertainment industry. The kid was merely a burden to you.”
Yunis was cold in his accusation, staring at her with critical and accusatory eyes.
As if she had heard the biggest joke ever, Rorey laughed out loud. In her teary eyes, his features became blurry and she couldn’t recognise him anymore.
“Yunis, your words are a giant joke to everyone. I do intend on getting famous but I never thought that my child was a burden.”
“Then why did you not listen to me and stay at home obediently? You insisted on filming, ignoring my and my parents’ feelings. How do I explain to them now that the child is gone?”
Yunis lost his usual politeness and roared at Rorey.
