The red and blood lights intertwined once more, bursting out with powerful radiance.
The enormous barrier shook violently, and the red light pierced through the blood light.
Sky King looked in disbelief at the huge hole in his chest, murmuring painfully, “Great King, I have failed…”
Sky King’s massive body exploded, and a wisp of red smoke filled with unwillingness, anger, and longing floated into the air.
With the annihilation of Sky King’s soul, the entire barrier shattered and disappeared. Four streams of smoke whistled together into the massive volcano’s magma.
“No!” A voice filled with extreme unwillingness echoed from the magma.
A chilling wind reverberated in the enormous cave, carrying Chiyou’s intense resentment and anger from being sealed for thousands of years.
Leo collapsed to the ground like a deflated balloon, feeling it was difficult even to move a finger.
Unknowingly, the extremely exhausted Leo fell asleep.
It was unclear how long he slept before Leo suddenly woke from a terrifying nightmare.
At this moment, only the ancient Divine Dragon Sword and the shrunken Nine Abyss Suppresses Evil Peak accompanied him.
Struggling to sit up, he checked his body. Fortunately, he had no missing limbs.
However, his limbs were still extremely sore, and there was a faint burning sensation in his chest.
After resting for a while, he stood up. From the volcano’s magma came Chiyou’s heavy and rapid breathing.
Chiyou’s soul had been awakened by the formation; now he needed to be sealed again.
“Chiyou, why aren’t you screaming?” Leo slowly walked to the scorching volcano’s edge. A wave of heat hit him, causing him to stagger.
“Damn mortal, you ruined my resurrection. I curse you…” Hearing Leo’s voice, the enraged Chiyou spat out a venomous curse.
Leo sneered, “It’s the 21st century now. You’ve been asleep for thousands of years. If you resurrected, you wouldn’t adapt to this society. So I think it’s better for you to keep sleeping.”
“Nonsense! I will change this world. I will create my own world. Although you stopped me this time, one day I will return!”
“Let’s cut the crap. I’ll seal you again now. You should continue sleeping!”
With that, Leo stepped into the formation and slowly injected spiritual energy.
As spiritual energy was injected, the massive Star Ball in the sky trembled and shot a huge beam of light into the Big Dipper Formation.
“Stop!” A desperate and shrill howl came from deep within the magma.
Leo remained unmoved and continued to channel spiritual energy.
Soon, the entire Star Ball emitted a thunderous roar, shooting seven dense beams of energy towards seven points in the formation.
The Nine Heavens Star River Formation began to reverse automatically as Leo withdrew his spiritual energy.
He slowly walked to the volcano’s edge, feeling the scorching hot wind and observing the intense magma below. Leo let out a long breath.
The magma suddenly shook violently, with fire waves splashing everywhere. It seemed as if something was struggling desperately in pain.
At this moment, a milky white beam shot from the high-altitude Star Ball towards Leo.
Leo couldn’t react in time; the milky white beam hit him directly.
There was no pain; instead, a mysterious and warm sensation spread through his body.
Leo’s mind went blank.
It lasted only nine seconds.
After nine seconds, the milky white beam disappeared, and the Star Ball vanished.
Leo suddenly opened his eyes, and an invisible powerful aura erupted like a hurricane.
Lower Spirit Sect Realm!
The Star Ball had injected all its remaining energy into Leo’s body, allowing his cultivation to break through to the Lower Spirit Sect Realm in one go.
This was indeed an unexpected surprise.
From deep within the scorching magma came a huge and angry roar.
The boiling magma splashed fiercely but soon calmed down completely.
Holding the Divine Dragon Sword, Leo waved his hand.
The massive chains binding Chiyou’s remains shattered and fell into the boiling magma with a fierce splash and rapid melting sound.
This time, Chiyou would forever remain in the boiling magma.
Gathering his thoughts, Leo scanned the cave and remembered the still unconscious children.
At that moment, someone arrived.
“Leo!”
It was Vivian Young’s voice.
“I’m here!” Leo waved at her.
Vivian Young quickly ran to Leo’s side, looking around with a horrified expression.
“What happened here? Are you okay?”
“I’m fine. You should arrange for someone to rescue the children first. I’ll tell you what happened later,” Leo shook his head.
Back in town, Leo narrated everything to Vivian Young in detail.
After hearing Leo’s account, Vivian Young felt both shocked and fearful.
If Chiyou had truly resurrected, it would have been disastrous.
On their way back to Langstel, Arlene called.
She first asked Leo why she couldn’t reach him earlier and why his phone showed as out of service.
Leo naturally didn’t reveal the real reason. He made up an excuse and asked Arlene what she needed.
Arlene mentioned wanting him to join her at Langstel Museum for an appraisal.
Leo was puzzled about what Arlene wanted to appraise at the museum but agreed nonetheless.
Upon returning to Langstel, Arlene picked up Leo and drove to Langstel Museum.
At Langstel Museum, after parking the car, Arlene led Leo directly to a third-floor appraisal room she seemed familiar with.
The appraisal room was quiet. Arlene knocked on the door, and an old man with graying hair looked up inside.
The old man glanced at Arlene before focusing on Leo.
“Arlene, it seems you still don’t trust my appraisal result. Is this man beside you the appraiser you mentioned?” The old man’s tone carried some irritation.
Leo shrugged helplessly. When did he become an appraiser?
“Old Xavier, bring out my porcelain vase. I want my friend to appraise it,” Arlene said directly.
Old Xavier scrutinized Leo again before retrieving a porcelain vase from a cabinet behind him and placing it on the table in front of them.
“This green porcelain vase has cloud-like patterns at its base that only Southern Song government kilns could produce.”
“I’m ninety percent sure it’s from the Qingyuan period. Arlene, stop making such a fuss over an antique,” Old Xavier muttered.
Leo picked up the vase from the table and examined it carefully.
To the naked eye, it indeed matched Old Xavier’s description and likely came from a Southern Song government kiln.
