Nick stared at her side, he reached over her wrist and pulled her to his face.
Veronica sat obediently on his lap. The strong and hot touch drilled into her pants and skin was making her heart tense. She thought that she’d better be soft into a cat and do something bad about hitting a stone with an egg.
Nick raised his hand, squeezed her chin, and rubbed his fingers slightly, but he forced Veronica’s consciousness to follow.
“If there is the desire and there is no ability, in the end, there is only a dead end.” Nick’s deep black eyes lock Veronica’s weak eyes.
Veronica lowered her eyes and thought that she had the desire to escape, but she couldn’t do it. ‘Is it a dead end?’
“Is there nothing else you want to tell me?” Nick asked.
Veronica suppressed her guilt and said, “What else?” she pretended that she was thinking, “Tom was beaten by Elton! Because Elton knew that Sarah’s injury was beaten by Tom and avenged his mother. But Tom will not give up!”
“Do you know what I just saw at the gate of the hospital?”
Veronica was tense inside and pretended to be as if nothing had happened. “What?”
Nick held back his deep emotion. “It’s nothing.”
Veronica frowned slightly, she thought ‘started the words, and now he said ‘nothing’? Nick, what does that mean?’ She was not very calm when she met Toby in the hospital just now. Now that Nick said that, she’s felt a little creepy.
She talked to herself and said, ‘He didn’t saw Toby, did he? Toby already got out through the back door!’
“I’ll sit next to you.” Veronica thought of her body, but her waist was hoisted by Nick’s arms. “I’ll sit the-Ugh!”
As soon as her mouth was opened, it was encroached on by Nick. His grips were unbreakable. It’s more like the possession of punishment.
At that kiss, Veronica was out of breath. Nick seemed to be in danger of swallowing her into his belly. Even in the car, she will be brought to justice on the spot!
“YOU!!” Veronica struggled with slight resistance.
But as soon as a word came out of her mouth, she was kissed by Nick again. The temperature in the car was constantly rising and burning!
Veronica can still struggle at the beginning, but, the strength in her body was gradually drained out because of Nick’s long kiss, she was sent into paralysis.
Nick slightly retreated and let go of her small lips, he recklessly licked the saliva on her lips, like a terrible vampire, and said in a hoarse voice, “What do you want to say?”
Veronica cannot speak at that moment. Her head was buzzing, her face was flushed, her eyes were trembling with mist, and she looked weakly at the dark eyes close at hand who were well aware of the danger.
“You won’t tell?” Nick’s hoarse voice was getting lower and more terrible.
Veronica closed her eyes and relieved the affected mood, her mind buzzing and messy as if she was enduring a great deal of patience. She thought she did it flawlessly, but she was full of loopholes with Nick.
She couldn’t realize where she did wrong, and she knew that when Nick asked, his reaction speak for itself.
She kept on reminding herself that she has no way out!
“Or do you want me to check the hospital surveillance?” Nick’s fingertips scratched the soft flesh of her chin slightly, he was flirting, and it was even more alarming.
Veronica opened her eyes, her breathing has calmed down, she bravely faces the challenge and said, “It’s a coincidence that I met Toby. He came to the hospital to get painkillers. I was afraid you might misunderstand, so I let him go through the back door.”
“He listens to you very much.” Nick looked at her coldly with his fierce eyes.
“He doesn’t want to be misunderstood!”
“Misunderstand what?”
“I came to see my father, and Toby happened to be here to get the medicine. Don’t you think too much? One more thing is better than a few. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with what I’ve done!” Veronica’s voice was a little out of control.
Nick’s face sank, he wondered why it was his fault. ‘Does she really think it’s a coincidence that Toby is here? If you are really worried about a misunderstanding, his car should not pass by me and let me saw him!’ Nick thought. ‘Or did toby do it on purpose?’
Because of Veronica’s frankness, the low pressure in the car has not improved to the point where the atmosphere was about to explode.
“You don’t think I’m having a private meeting with Toby behind your back, do you?” Veronica asked him, looking at the deep eagle’s sharp black eyes of Nick. In an instant, Veronica felt very tired. “You can check it out if you like.”
With that, she got down from Nick, sat next to and far away from him. She pressed herself against the door and looked out of the window at the dark night. She doesn’t want to explain.
Nick’s facial muscles are taut posture, a pair of cold black eyes was staring at Veronica’s face.
“I feel like everything I do in front of you is wrong, if. If I make you so angry, let me go!” Veronica said out of the blue.
Nick’s body was stunned, and his black eyes turned grumpy. “You can’t leave!”
Veronica didn’t say anything. It looks like he won’t let her go.
Rolls-Royce stops at Winter Villa, Veronica gets off, she entered the hall, she saw Bob and asked, “Where are the kids?”
“We had so much fun that I fell asleep while playing in bed!” As Bob spoke, he was about to laugh when he saw the cold face and abnormal aura of the people coming in behind him. He froze, disappeared, and became respectful.
“I’ll go and have a look,” Veronica said and went to the direct elevator.
Bob wing glanced carefully at Mr. Cage and saw that he goes to the study without saying a word.
Bob thought, ‘What’s going on? Did Miss Parker piss Mr. Cage off again? In this case, if Mr. Cage had made Miss Parker angry, the atmosphere would not have been like this.’
Veronica sat down gently on the edge of the bed and looked at the kids sleeping soundly on the bed. The emotion that was hard to give up in her heart was so strong.
She reached out and touched the short legs of the kids, then leaned down and hugged the soft little body, which was fleshy and creamy, so that she could not put it down.
Her heart was filled with joy, and her eyes buried in Daniel’s neck socket suddenly became hot.
She should be busy and restrain herself. She wondered why her life was like this, she wondered if she has not lost anything.
If she had to think about something impractical, it would only add to his annoyance. She even despises herself. She stayed in the room of the kids for a while and Veronica went back to the room where she had slept before.
There was no way she was going to Nick’s room.
Veronica went to bed after taking a shower and Nick didn’t show up before she fell asleep.
It was 9 o’clock when Nick left the study and entered the bedroom, but he didn’t saw Veronica, his face darkened immediately!
He picked up his phone and call Kay Tours, “Check the hospital’s surveillance records!”
“Which hospital?” After Kay Tours finished asking, she didn’t hear Nick’s voice, “Mr. Cage?”
“No need!” Nick just hung up.
Kay Tours looked blankly at the hung-up screen, which could only be described in one word. Strange!
