“What’s the use of having helpers when you do everything?” Nick Cage said.
“It’s just for today, after all, I promised her yesterday that I will tie her hair,” Veronica Parker said.
Nick Cage looked at her with his dark eyes and he remained silent, he got up and said, “I’ll go.”
Veronica Parker was dumbfounded, she was confused by Nick Cage’s action.
She watched as Nick Cage got up, washed his face, changed his clothes, and left the room.
Veronica Parker was completely confused as she sat on the bed.
What does Nick Cage mean?
‘What is he going to do?”
Veronica Parker was a little worried so she got out of bed and followed him out of the room.
As soon as she got out of the room she saw the six little ones running towards their room.
“Mom!”
Peter was only wrapped in a small nightgown with a belt around his waist.
If seen from the distance, he looked like a small meatball rolling in the way.
It was only when they ran in front of Nick Cage that they seemed to realize that the person in front of them was not their mom.
“Ah! It’s not Mom, it’s Daddy!” Lily exclaimed.
Nick Cage was speechless.
“Mom said she would braid my hair!” Lily said as she turned her little head around the hall, “Where’s Mom?”
“Me, too!” Cathy hopped anxiously.
“And me too! ” Julie said excitedly.
Veronica Parker was about to go out when he heard Nick Cage say, “I’ll tie it for you. Let’s go!”
Veronica Parker was speechless as she stared blankly at Nick Cage who left with the six little ones. She had a feeling that she had misheard him.
Julie had lovely hair so it’s easy enough to simply comb it.
But Lily wants a braid and Cathy’s hair was messy like a nest. Was Nick Cage serious?
Veronica Parker followed them and watched what they were doing in the playhouse.
In the room, the boys were playing, Peter was pointing around with a gun, Josh was running in circles while waving a fake knife, his small round mouth was opened and he was full of energy. The silly Daniel stood beside the maid while Peter and Julie watched Lily and their Daddy with their big, bright eyes
Nick Cage was sitting on the sofa while he was combing Lily’s hair.
His black eyes were focused on the comb and his face was tense.
They’re some sort of dark aura around him as if he was not combing his daughter’s hair, but facing some unprecedented project.
Nick Cage never did mediocre things, the Nick Cage that Veronica Parker saw seemed to not match with his status. He was the person in charge of the King Group, so what Veronica Parker was witnessing at the moment was very unusual.
But Nick Cage who was tying Lily’s hair gave Veronica Parker a different feeling in her heart.
“Ah! Daddy, it hurts!” Lily shouted.
Nick Cage’s hand froze for a moment and his eyes opened wide.
Then he continued.
“Ah! Daddy, it hurts again!” Lily complain.
Nick Cage’s hands and body were stiff but he tried to take it easy.
“Oh, Daddy, it still hurts.”
Nick Cage’s eyebrow furrowed. He’s been trying to control his strength. How could it still hurt? Looking up, he saw Cathy and Josh hiding weakly behind the maid and they were looking at their Daddy in horror.
Veronica Parker knocked at the door and she looked at the poor little Lily who was about to cry. She couldn’t help it. She showed up and walked towards the two, “I’ll do it.”
“No,” Nick Cage’s facial expression became more tensed, his dark eyes were sharp, and his hands were stiff.
Then the hair ring bounced directly out of his hand and it fell to the ground.
There was silence in the air for a moment.
The maid picked up the hair ring and Veronica Parker took it, “If you don’t let go, Lily will cry.”
Lily turned her little flushed face at the right time and she looked at Nick Cage with tearful eyes, “Daddy, I’m really going to cry.”
Nick Cage had to give way.
Veronica Parker sat down, tied Lily’s hair, and brushed it up in the twinkling of an eye.
Lily stood up, clutching her pigtails in both hands, bouncing happily, and jumping in front of Nick Cage, “Daddy, Mom tied my hair for me!”
“mm-hmm.” Nick Cage snorted.
Veronica Parker did Lily’s hair, then Cathy’s, and finally Julie’s hair.
These things are all too familiar to her.
Veronica Parker looked at Peter, Josh, and Daniel, who were having a good time.
Isabella was supposed to be there every morning, even if Veronica Parker wasn’t there.
Now that she’s here, Isabella will never come back.
At first, she tried her best to get Isabella to Winter Villa. First, Isabella didn’t want to be separated from six little ones. Second, only if Isabella would be happy. Third, she didn’t want six little girls to be unaccustomed to strange places, just like her when she was a little girl.
Now that Isabella is gone, she will only be sad whenever if she leaves the Winter Villa and the six little ones.
Veronica Parker blinked and pressed back the spilled mist.
What should she do?
“Eat something for breakfast!” Freshen up, dressed only like a little penguin, ran out of the room with open hands.
The maid followed.
Veronica Parker was about to follow her out when she was pulled over by a tight wrist. She almost crashed into Nick Cage’s arms and took a deep breath.
“Will you be trying their hair every day?” Nick Cage whispered as low as a dumb voice.
The hot smell made her unavoidable.
Veronica Parker’s eyes trembled and she was asked to tie their hair every day, that is to say, she lives here every day, is that what he meant?
She didn’t know.
Is she going to be trapped in Winter Villa by Nick Cage because of the six little ones?
But what else does she have now?
She has nothing but those six little ones.
Even Isabella left her.
She was very upset and didn’t want to answer such a question. She felt that she was forced by Nick Cage and has no way out.
In a panic, he changed the subject and said, “Today, will the results come out?”
“Yes.”
Veronica Parker looked down and was about to speak when Bob came over and said, “Mr. Cage, your phone!”
Bob handed over Nick Cage’s cell phone.
Nick Cage picked up his cell phone to answer, and listened to the people talking over the other line on the phone, Nick Cage listened silently.
Veronica Parker pulled back her wrist held by Nick Cage and turned away.
After all, Nick Cage answered a phone call, and it didn’t sound good for her to just listen to the conversation.
Just now, Nick Cage said that he could get the report today, and he didn’t think there would be anything unusual.
There is nothing wrong with Isabella, or he may be targeted by his enemies. Only by accident can he figure it out.
The maid pressed the elevator for her, and the door opened, and Veronica Parker walked in.
The elevator door almost bounced open when it was about to close.
Veronica Parker was stopped for a moment, then looked up and, Nick Cage’s long figure walked in, letting her lean back subconsciously.
The elevator space is not small, but as soon as the excessively high Nick Cage comes in, it appears overcrowded.
Oxygen was even thinner.
The elevator slowly went down and Veronica Parker stood to watch the Nick Cage.
“The results are out.” The low voice of Nick Cage sounded.
Veronica Parker suddenly looked up and glanced at him.
“Nothing unusual.”
Veronica Parker stared on the floor. “I already guessed.”
Nick Cage looked straight at Veronica Parker’s dark eyes in the front mirror. “I’ll let someone take care of her.”
Veronica Parker’s eyes were hot and her voice choked, “Thank you.”
Nick Cage turned, hugged her to her side, raised her face, and locked her tearful eyes. “Don’t cry.”
Veronica Parker burst into tears. “I didn’t expect it. Will Isabella leave me, or is it because of such an accident? I didn’t get a call from her. She didn’t even say a word to me. The same is like my grandma. I didn’t know until after the test that she was seriously ill. I think Grandma is alive, but I can’t do it. Would I be left with no relatives? In that case, should I not live in Winter Villa? It’s not good for the kids.”
