Nick usually leaves the house around ten o’clock in the morning.
She only had breakfast with Peter and then sent them to school. It was perfect!
However, as soon as she got out of the car and entered the hall, she felt that there was something wrong with the atmosphere.
Isabella was delighted to see her and asked, “What are you doing here?”
“I came to have breakfast with the children.”
“We are eating now! I will get you the cutlery.” Isabella said.
Veronica followed her inside and the strong atmosphere became very clear.
She looked up and saw Nick sitting at the dining table.
Why is he still in this early?
“Mom!” Peter called once he saw Veronica and his big eyes lit up and hurriedly rolled down from the seat and ran over.
He hugged Veronica and bounced excitedly.
“Mom, are you working overtime again?” Peter asked.
Veronica looked at the happy faces of the six little faces and said with a smile, “Yes, I’m working overtime. As soon as I am done, Mom will come to see you.”
“Mom, why don’t you live with us?” Cathy asked.
“And play games together!” Julie said.
“Mom.” Josh had tearful eyes.
“I want to have a sleep with Mom, Daddy!” Lily cried.
“Rest!” Daniel told.
Veronica could not live with them, of course. She did not expect that after a while, they were still thinking about it.
Her heart and soul are getting emotional and said, “When these days are over, Mom will sleep on the rest of you, okay?”
“You have to sleep with us every day!” Peter is not satisfied.
“Every day!” Julie agreed.
“Every day.” Josh is going to cry again.
Veronica looked awkwardly at Nick as it was really embarrassing.
She changed the subject. “Shall we eat first?”
“Good!” The six young ones agreed immediately.
They are too happy to had a breakfast with their mother!
After eating, Veronica usually sent the six little boys to school.
They used Nick’s Rolls-Royce.
You can see how happy they were to be surrounded by Veronica all the time in the car.
Veronica ‘s attention was on the children. She listened to them one sentence after another, twittering and cheerful.
I have not seen you guys for two or three days. I missed you very much.
Now she held their soft little bodies to fill the loneliness and empty space in her heart.
Finally, the six little ones were sent back to their classrooms.
Nick turned to get in the car and seemed to turn a blind eye to Veronica.
However, when she got near the car, the door went open and the powerful aura overflowed.
Veronica was afraid getting in the car.
The car left the school and drove steadily on the road.
There were no six small children in the car and the atmosphere was very tense between them.
Veronica looked at Nick who leaned lazily against the seat. His deep eyes stared out of the window as if there was no other person in the car.
She really does not want to mess with him. Although what happened in the office last time was inexplicable. Even though she was the one who was possessed and asked for but not as if she had done something wrong.
“Why won’t Mr. Cage, let me into the bar? No bar dares to let me in. ” Veronica is looking for a topic with a hint of innocence.
Nick looked back from the window and stared at her, as if she were about to cross Veronica’s body.
The pupil of Veronica shrank.
“What are you doing in a bar?”
“Nothing. My colleague asked a treat and suggested to go to a bar. I was directly blocked out, which was very embarrassing.” She dares to answer as if he does not exist! Messing with Nick will not do her any good.
Unfortunately, Peter is still with him, otherwise she can move so freely?
Nick did not say a word and the environment suddenly became tense.
Veronica pursed her lips and did not speak again.
The car stopped at the gate of the TV station and when Veronica was about to get off, she heard the low deterrent voice of Nick, “Which bar do you think is better?”
Veronica stunned for a moment. “What do you mean? The bar that we went to was very nice.”
She replied with some compliment although she did not understand why Nick asked this for a while.
“You can go there next time.”
Veronica was surprised, “All right.”
She thought she will not be able to get off the car. Are you kidding me? She felt like she was in a big hole and there were hundreds of boiling waters! She really has a lot of money!

Kay was busy.
His cell phone rang.
He stared at the information in one hand and answered the phone with the other and so he did not see the incoming call, “Hello?”
“Give me Nick Cage’s account number and I will return the 5 billion dollars to him.”
Kay stared away at the file and recognized Chloe’s voice and the amount she took that is worth 5 dollars from Mr. Cage.
“Why? The money is already yours.” Kay says quietly.
After all, Chloe is a greedy lady. He knew that.
He really would not believe it when she had the money and then spits it out voluntarily.
“For no reason, I just don’t want to be so harsh., Nick is Kevin’s son anyway.”
For this reason, Kay felt that the lady is lying. “Is there any other reason?”
“No.”
“Are you threatened? It does not matter after all. Mr. Cage is very satisfied with the 5-billion-dollar deal.” Kay paused and asked, “Does it have anything to do with Veronica Parker?”
“It has nothing to do with her. On the other hand, I considered Kevin and my six little grandchildren. I can’t go too far after thinking about them.”
Kay said, “All right then. I will give you the account.”
After hanging up the phone, Kay sent the account to Chloe.
It was not long before the 5 billion was return into the account.
Kay wondered whether greedy people like Chloe would really care of six children and Kevin.
If she really cares, why did she make such a decision in the first place?
Kay got up and went to Nick’s office and told him about it.
Nick also felt absurd and in-deep thought.
“Did she mention Veronica Parker?”
Kay said, “No. I also specifically asked if it had anything to do with Veronica. Chloe said that it didn’t matter at all. Unexpectedly, she offered to return the money which is not like her style. Did she really change?”
“That’s not possible.” Nick’s eagle eyes had a sharp idea.
The black seat turned to Nick’s side position, crossed his legs while his thinking deeply. His eyes were staring out of the floor-to-ceiling window.
Kay thought that it is impossible even though Mr. Cage will not mention it.
Chloe’s “glorious deeds” are still in her hands!
Nick who had been silent for a moment suddenly opened his mouth, “What has happened recently?”
Kay understood, “Chloe went to the hotel with Eden again, just last night. Could it be because of him?” It’s not rational either. However, the room was opened yesterday and now it’s the 5 billion dollars which seems to be involved. ”
“Did you check the surveillance?”
“No, it was reported by the stalker.”
Nick turned around and his black eyes thinking deep again. “Check the surveillance that night.”
“Yes.”
Kay went back to his computer and began to hack into the hotel’s surveillance system and retrieve the hotel video from the night before.
He saw Chloe and Eden entered the hotel immediately.
