Chapter 530: Rose’s Three Cups of Gratitude

“You’re really doing well with your business, huh!”
Augustus Weston entered as well.
The reception staff were stunned by the spectacle.
Half of the elite families of Niarak, including the top-tier magnates, were present.
With Sordoff just leaving and Ladugin soon to arrive, the Cherry Blossom Inn was indeed radiant today!
The Cherry Blossom Inn, a five-star establishment, was no stranger to celebrities, including those with fortunes in the billions.
However, today’s grandeur was unprecedented.
It seemed that no other hotel in Shipmeda State could match the splendor of the Cherry Blossom Inn today.
The front desk manager couldn’t help but reflect: “In my ten years working at this hotel, all the grand events I’ve seen don’t compare to today alone!”
Leander was so shocked that he was momentarily speechless.
Each of the ten visitors was stronger than the Langford family.
“Mr. Hill is just joking; the Langford family only has Cherry Blossom Inn as its asset, unlike you all whose businesses are everywhere, so we just manage what we have,” said Leander, scratching his head with an awkward laugh.
Though he was a billionaire, he still felt like a little brother in front of these people.
Indeed, Marcel’s Peninsula Hotel was only four-star, but his assets were substantial.
Nightclubs, karaoke bars, and small pubs-Marcel owned no less than ten of these, a scale that Cherry Blossom Inn couldn’t compare with.
Orion, not to mention, owned the Myriad Dragon Merchant Guild, which was several times larger than Cherry Blossom Inn.
“Uh… Mr. Kennedy just said, your boss’s woman… could it be that person…” Leander looked towards Orion, nervously smiling, his gaze then shifting to the table of the research department.
His eyes finally settled on Flynn, revealing a hint of surprise.
“Come on, Brandon, don’t scare Mr. Langford. Ignorance is no crime!”
“After all, who doesn’t like to look at beautiful women? Everyone knows Mr. Langford is henpecked; what could he possibly be thinking?”
Edwin laughed heartily, patting Leander on the shoulder as they walked towards the east hall: “Come, let me take you to toast!”
He had a good relationship with the Langford family and wanted to smooth things over while giving a boost.
Edwin didn’t spell it out, but Leander understood.
The boss Orion mentioned was the young man surrounded by beautiful women!
This revelation shocked Leander significantly.
So young yet able to command respect from Orion, he must be from a powerful lineage!
Such a person was definitely worth befriending!
“Mr. Gallagher is right, Ms. Sharp is here for a celebration, and I was worried my staff might neglect her, so I was keeping an eye out myself,” Leander said with an awkward laugh as the group entered the east hall.
Rose approached and greeted everyone.
Since Orion and others were board members, they were treated with seriousness; Rose had arranged a private room in the side hall to invite them.
However, everyone’s attention turned to Flynn.
“Ms. Sharp, let’s go and make a toast first,” Orion suggested with a smile.
Rose glanced at Flynn, who was not far away, and said softly, “You guys go ahead, he might end up drunk in pleasure soon. Let’s head to the private room first; I’ll call him.”
After saying this, Rose went directly to the table where Flynn was and spoke a few words to him.
Reluctantly, Flynn looked at Orion and others, then headed towards the side hall’s private room.
This…
Everyone was momentarily stunned.
Especially Orion, who had known Flynn for years, had never seen anyone dare to order him around like this.
Rose was the first.
What was more terrifying was that Flynn actually listened and obediently went to the private room.
Their relationship was deeper than imagined!
Rose clearly didn’t treat Flynn as an outsider, nor as a big shot!
It’s worth noting that Rose still didn’t know Flynn’s true identity.
But the power displayed by the boss recently had even made the Spencer family bow.
And Flynn had helped Rose so much.
Logically, Rose should have been very cautious around him.
But it was not so.
The two always bickered, never showing each other good faces, yet Flynn never lost his temper.
It was like a couple quarreling.
It was indeed baffling.
“Even heroes have their weaknesses in the face of beauty,” Orion murmured, shaking his head softly.
Beside him, Edwin frowned in surprise. “Brandon, are you suggesting that the boss has feelings for Ms. Sharp?”
Orion nodded, adding, “Ms. Sharp has feelings for him too; they just don’t know it yet.”
After saying this, he couldn’t help but express his envy:
“I don’t know if they can end up together, but Ms. Sharp certainly holds a significant place in his heart.”
“Ms. Sharp is truly fortunate!”
“The knife Kevin took for the boss was well worth it!”
The group entered the private room, and Flynn arrived, heading for the head seat.
Suddenly, Rose pulled him back. “Mr. Kennedy and the others are our honored guests; let Mr. Kennedy sit here!”
This remark nearly paralyzed Orion.
His legs went weak as he hurriedly waved his hands. “Ms. Sharp, I…”
“Come on, if I say you sit, you sit!” Flynn interrupted irritably, shooting Rose a glance before plopping down at the other end of the table.
He couldn’t understand what had gotten into Rose. She had been all smiles when he arrived, and now she had changed her demeanor entirely.
He had been drinking pleasantly with Achela, and not only did she insist on him coming over, she wouldn’t let him take the head seat either.
Rose, paying no attention to Flynn, smiled at everyone and said, “Please, take your seats!”
Everyone looked at each other, hesitant to sit first.
Mr. Clark was sitting at the end-that was the seat for serving dishes!
Flynn sitting there definitely indicated he felt slighted.
Orion inwardly sighed.
Here we go again.
The two were back to their petty squabbles.
Seeing everyone still restrained, Rose directly pulled Orion to the head seat and pointed to the chair next to him for Flynn, saying, “You sit next to Mr. Kennedy.”
Flynn was internally cursing.
He opened his mouth to retort, but eventually scurried over to the indicated seat.
Seeing this, the others no longer hesitated and took their seats as well.
“Boss, after the Acebegron Clear Relief disaster, Ms. Sharp salvaged two companies and made a billion dollars.”
“She gave us dividends and shares of those pharmaceutical companies.”
“This is all thanks to you; we offer you a toast,” Orion raised his glass.
Flynn sipped lightly, set down his glass, and said sternly, “I’m just an employee; if you want to thank someone, thank Ms. Sharp.”
Everyone’s smiles stiffened at once.
Everyone could sense the bitterness in Flynn’s words, unsure how to continue the conversation.
“This matter is about mutual success, Mr. Kennedy is being modest. If anyone should be thanked, it’s you all for the initial funding that got the Sharp’s Group to where it is today.”
“Here’s to everyone,” Rose said, breaking the silence and downing her glass.
A full glass of white liquor.
Flynn frowned.
Rose poured another glass, raised it, and said:
“The three-party alliance won’t just watch the Sharp’s Group grow; a battle of capital is coming, and I hope we can withstand it.”
“This toast, to our future!” With that, she downed another glass.
Everyone was in high spirits and joined in the toast.
Rose then poured another glass, “This one, as the host today, I thank you all for coming…”
As Flynn listened, his frowns deepened, and he snatched the glass, drinking it down:
“Ms. Sharp, aren’t you supposed to conduct a raffle for the employees? Your main event is outside; I’ll handle things here.”
Was this woman crazy?
Didn’t she know her own alcohol tolerance?
Even though reclaiming two companies from the Swanson’s Group and being in high spirits wanted to express her gratitude through this banquet.
She still needed to watch her health!
Flynn definitely didn’t want to have to escort a drunken Rose home again.
Seeing this, Orion couldn’t help but smile wryly.
Just moments ago, they were each being stubborn, and the next second, he was drinking for Rose.
In this world, perhaps only Rose could make him so compliant…
