Yayoi felt that she could no longer sustain the smile on her face anymore.
Seeing that she made up her mind, the owner decided not to insist further. “Search for it slowly, let me know if you need any help.”
“All right, thank you.”
Seeing the shopkeeper leave, Yayoi took a deep breath. She lowered her head and opened her palm to stare at the earring in her hand. After a long while, she clenched her fist and turned to look at the private room again.
The door was still shut.
It seemed like she would not be able to see him.
She sighed and drooped her shoulders. When she was about to leave, she saw a waiter carrying fruit toward that private room.
She halted and turned around to stare at the private room.
She saw the waiter knock on the door, which was opened after a brief moment. A long slender body entered her eyes.
Immediately, her eyes turned red as she saw the person she had wanted to see.
Receiving the fruit platter from the waiter, the man suddenly turned his head toward Yayoi, as if he felt a special connection.
When he saw Yayoi, an unknown glimmer of light flashed across her eyes before she immediately regained her calmness.
As he turned around to walk into the private room with the fruit platter, a voice and sounds of sobbing came from behind.
“Luo Qingjue.”
It was obvious that his back stiffened at the sound, but he did not stop in his steps. He then closed the door.
She teared up and her vision was blocked.
He really did come back. But he ignored her.
A mixture of surprise and sadness made her extremely uncomfortable. She sniffled as an invisible smile curved upward on her lips.
“It’s all right, as long as he is back.”
In the end, she turned to look at the private room again before leaving.
Just as she left, the door of the private room opened as a slender figure walked out.
It was the man she was calling, Luo Qingjue.
He stared at where she was standing with complex emotions in his eyes.
Walking out of the restaurant, Yayoi wiped the tears from her face. She then saw two familiar figures not far away.
She was stunned. They were still waiting for her.
After she realized what had happened, she ran over.
“Why didn’t you guys leave first?”
She had been gone for half an hour and did not expect them to be waiting here for so long.
“We wanted to leave with you.” Rosiley smiled gently.
“What did you drop? Why did it take you so long?” Xiaoxiao asked curiously.

“An earring.” Yayoi opened her palm and exposed that “dropped” earring.
Rosiley frowned. If she remembered correctly, Yayoi had both earrings on when they walked out together.
She looked at Yayoi thoughtfully before saying, “It’s fortunate that you found it. Or the other earring would be useless.”
“Yeah.” Yayoi smiled.
“Be careful next time. It’d be a pity if you dropped it.”
Xiaoxiao reminded her.
“Yes, I know.”
She looked at her two good friends, who showered her with concern. Yayoi felt apologetic because she had lied to them.
However, she could not tell them the truth.
