Lilia was stunned upon receiving confirmation.
She knew about the relationship between Sordov and the Gulowski family.
Norris Drugs was practically a business nurtured by the Gurloff Family!
As a member of a pharmaceutical family, Rose also had some knowledge of the relationship between the two families.
It could be said that the Stockton Family’s current status entirely depended on the Gulowski family’s favor.
Sordov quickly explained, “I came to Niarak at a friend’s invitation, planning to invest eighty billion dollars here.”
Tabakov nodded indifferently, “I don’t care what you’re doing in Ostrad, but remember one thing: focus on your company. The batch of medicine for the military must be completed on time and without any mistakes.”
“If there’s a problem, Mr. Rainier will personally intervene.”
“Your family won’t have an easy time if that happens!”
Sordov trembled all over, hurriedly lowered his head, and respectfully said, “Yes, esteemed Mr. Tobias. I will return home immediately after handling this cooperation!”
Pausing for a moment, Sordov cautiously asked, “Mr. Tobias, may I ask if Mr. Rainier is coming to Niarak to invest in building a factory?”
Tabakov glanced at him and said, “Mr. Rainier is here following his father’s orders and has not disclosed the purpose of this trip.”
Sordov nodded respectfully, “Oh, right. What Mr. Rainier plans to do is not for us to speculate.”
The Gulowski family was Achela’s largest oligarch.
They possessed assets worth trillions.
They were involved in natural gas, pharmaceuticals, oil, technology, and almost monopolized various sectors in Achela.
As a result, there was intense conflict between Gulowski and the Achela government. During a meeting with the top ten oligarchs called by the president, he even publicly contradicted the president.
In the end, he had to flee abroad.
It’s said he went to Demon Island Prison.
After he fled Achela, the Gulowski family made compromises and engaged in deep cooperation with the Achela government, easing tensions significantly.
However, fearing retribution from the president’s iron-fisted policies, Gulowski dared not easily return home.
He could only observe from abroad for a few more years.
He would only dare to return once the president stepped down or signed a clear pardon order.
Therefore, Gulowski’s son Radukin took over all family businesses.
Despite being only thirty years old, Radukin’s boldness and capability surpassed his father’s.
Otherwise, he wouldn’t have been able to protect his family under heavy scrutiny from the Achela government.
Facing Radukin, Sordov felt only respect and fear; he didn’t dare show any disrespect.
Lilia looked puzzled and whispered to Leander, “Mr. Langford, I’ve heard you’re recently seeking investments. Could it be that the investor is…”
She trailed off without finishing her sentence and looked at the elderly white man in shock.
Leander was taken aback but then laughed heartily, “Mr. Hussain overestimates me. Do I look like someone who could connect with the Gurloff Family?”
“It’s just that Mr. Tobias booked my hotel at a daily rate of ten million dollars to ensure Mr. Rainier’s safety!”
Lilia smiled awkwardly and nodded.
Of course!
As Ipholn’s second-largest wealthy family member trying to connect with Sordov required Layla’s connections.
How could the Gurloff Family take notice of a second-tier wealthy family like Langford?
However, Lilia was still shocked by the daily rate of ten million dollars.
Achela’s top oligarch truly had deep pockets!
After understanding everything, Lilia turned to Sordov and said awkwardly:
“Since Mr. Rainier is coming, I’ll book another hotel room for you.”
She had no temper left; she was only filled with shock upon shock.
Although Sordov was very distinguished, he wasn’t on Radukin’s level.
They certainly had to show enough respect.
“Oh? So you are also staying here.”
“My master has been very busy lately and hasn’t paid much attention to Norris Pharmaceuticals.”
“Since we met here by chance, give Sordov a room.”
“This is a good opportunity for Mr. Sordov to report recent developments to my master.”
The elderly white man turned to Leander and said this.
Achela had been unstable recently; the eastern front line was extending longer with high soldier casualties requiring urgent medical aid.
The batch of medicine from Norris was urgently needed.
If delayed, it would be hard to explain to the Achela government.
Hearing this made Sordov excitedly say: “Alright! I’ll have my secretary organize materials immediately after going upstairs so that I can give Mr. Rainier a detailed report when he arrives!”
Tabakov nodded and told Leander: “My master likes peace and quiet.”
“Let Sordov stay on another floor!”
After saying this, he went to Cherry Blossom Inn’s restaurant.
Radukin would arrive in Niarak at four in the morning; there wouldn’t be much time for sleep later tonight. He decided to eat before resting upstairs for a few hours before heading to the airport for pickup.
After seeing off Tabakov, Leander began arranging rooms.
Lilia’s beautiful eyes trembled with excitement as she quickly told Sordov:
“Mr. Sordov! Once Radukin arrives at the hotel tomorrow morning can you find a way for me to meet him?”
Although Lilia had strong connections in Ostrad Radukin was an Achela native and head of Achela’s top oligarch family who wouldn’t even consider her worthy enough for attention.
If she could reach out through Sordov Lilia felt confident convincing him into investing which would mean support from two major oligarchs plus their alliance energy leading The Sharp’s Group towards bankruptcy within days!
Sordov bitterly smiled shaking his head: “Miss Hussain you overestimate me; Mr. Rainier isn’t someone anyone can meet easily.”
“My face means nothing before him.”
Lilia sighed disappointedly: “Alright then I’ll have Layla ask tomorrow.”
Sordov couldn’t help but smile wryly Layla indeed impressive achieving Grandmaster status young making her well-known even among Ostrad circles including himself an Achela native knowing about her prowess but despite this within Achela’s top oligarch circles people like Layla were common so while he might give face Radukin wouldn’t care much about her presence though naturally wouldn’t voice such thoughts needing respect shown towards Layla regardless:
“Mr. Sordov you’ve traveled long distances needing rest plus preparing reports for Mr. Rainier better head up now we’ll meet again tomorrow.”
Not following upstairs watching Sordov enter elevator Lilia approached Rose:
“Ms. Sharp seems happy hosting celebration banquet?” Lilia returned cold demeanor mockingly asking:
Rose indifferent replied: “Yes just earned three hundred billion rewarding everyone.”
“Mr. Hussain care joining us?”
At this Lilia’s face darkened coldly replying:
“What’s there worth eating at breakup banquet Ms. Sharp better wait some time join my celebration banquet instead!”
“Oh?” Rose raised eyebrow teasingly responded: “Seems Mr. Hussain still fondly remembers The Sharp’s Group!”
Lilia’s heart twisted understanding Rose mocking her forgetting past losses remembering hundred billion lost anger surged cold glint flashing eyes lightly laughing replied:
“Of course who’d refuse easily obtainable delicacy?”
Rose smirked smilingly retorted: “Mr. Hussain afraid choking?”
“Choking?” Lilia couldn’t help laughing: “Ms. Sharp didn’t notice Mr. Sordov?”
“He decided investing eighty billion dollars once contacting domestic investors trillion won’t be problem!”
“Our three-family alliance will swallow The Sharp’s Group whole!”
“Then everything you’ve consumed will be vomited back out returning as pauper once more!”
