Leo utilized the Yang energy emitted by the Talismans to force out the Curse Worm.
The Corpse Worm Curse had not received any instructions from the Gu artist, and its current reaction was merely an instinctive behavior.
Bianca’s belly had swollen, looking as if a red lantern was inside, making the capillaries on her skin visible.
Leo carefully controlled his internal energy to guide the Yang energy within a specific range.
As time passed, Bianca’s skin slowly began to crack, and blood trickled down, staining the bedsheet red.
The scene was horrifying, and Thomas, outside the room, couldn’t help but close his eyes in pain, his body trembling.
Bianca’s belly had split open, and the Corpse Worm Curse was about to emerge.
At that moment, the emergence of the Corpse Worm Curse halted abruptly.
Leo frowned as he sensed a peculiar wave in his consciousness.
He knew that the person who planted the curse had detected his actions. Leo enveloped Bianca with his consciousness, preventing any waves from transmitting to her body.
Leo freed his left hand and formed a hand seal to further strengthen the blockade of Bianca’s energy.
The Corpse Worm Curse had received a command from its master but couldn’t understand it due to Leo’s blockade. Thus, it paused, waiting.
After a moment without response, the Corpse Worm Curse began to slowly emerge again.
Meanwhile, in an abandoned building on the outskirts of Langstel, an old man sat cross-legged in a room littered with construction debris.
He wore strange clothes, his face wrinkled and dark-skinned with odd tattoos on the left side, exuding an eerie aura.
In front of him was a small incense burner emitting thin wisps of green smoke despite having no incense inside.
The old man’s face was solemn, his eyes half-closed with a cold glint in his pupils.
“Hmph, daring to break my Corpse Worm Curse. How foolish!”
The old man’s eyes suddenly opened, revealing a white right eye and a completely black left eye.
“Heh, quite capable. I didn’t expect such a person in Langstel. But that girl’s talent is mine!” The old man’s body trembled slightly.
He had received a message from the Corpse Worm Curse that it sensed danger and wanted to escape its host.
The old man wouldn’t allow it. If the immature Corpse Worm Curse emerged from Bianca’s belly, it would be destroyed, severely injuring him as well.
Muttering an incantation, he quickly formed hand seals. The smoke in the incense burner thickened and changed colors, fluctuating mysteriously.
The old man was Samuel Sun, a Dark Sorcerer who had practiced Gu Techniques for over thirty years. The Corpse Worm Curse was his most powerful Life-Bound Curse. He couldn’t afford to let it fail halfway.
Back with Leo, Bianca’s belly had split wide open, and part of the Curse Worm had emerged.
At that moment, a sinister energy struck Leo’s mind. He sneered, “Still trying to control it? I’ll make you regret it!”
Leo summoned two Talismans from the altar and placed them on Bianca’s feet.
“Lock!” he commanded.
The Talismans on Bianca’s feet flashed gold and vanished. The Corpse Worm Curse stopped its retreat.
Leo formed a sword gesture with his hand and pointed at the Talismans on Bianca’s feet.
This was the critical moment to force out the Corpse Worm Curse before the Dark Sorcerer could issue new commands.
The Talismans on Bianca’s feet burned to ashes.
“Come out!” Leo shouted, sending a hand seal towards the Curse Worm.
A red light shot out from Bianca’s belly towards Leo’s face. He redirected it into a glass jar on the altar and sealed it with another Talisman.
Holding the jar with both hands, Leo channeled his spiritual energy to contain it. The jar was ordinary and could easily break under pressure from the Curse Worm.
“Thomas, get some garlic from the kitchen!” Leo ordered.
In the abandoned building, Samuel Sun spat blood as Leo attacked his Life-Bound Curse. Though not severely injured, he felt slight pain.
“Damn it! How dare you trap me!”
Wiping the blood from his mouth, Samuel Sun cursed and put away his incense burner. Standing up swiftly, he moved like a shadow despite his age, quickly leaving the building towards the direction of the Corpse Worm Curse.
Reaching a small hill, he sat cross-legged facing the direction of the Curse Worm. He took out the incense burner and opened it, revealing dead insects and burning black powder inside.
Pouring out some black powder from a small bottle with reluctance but determination in his eyes, he muttered coldly, “I’ll make you regret ruining my plans. Your blood and soul will feed my Corpse Worm Curse.”
His raspy voice was chilling and filled with malice. Forming a strange hand seal, he emitted a unique wave of energy.
