Bianca wore a white nightgown as Leo bent down and began unbuttoning it. Standing outside, Thomas saw this and wanted to rush into the room. Frank Lee grabbed his arm and said sternly, “Thomas, if you want to save your daughter, trust Leo!”
As a father, Thomas found it hard to endure such an act. But for Bianca’s life, he had no choice. Gripping the door frame tightly, Thomas restrained himself.
Inside, Leo didn’t fully unbutton Bianca’s nightgown but exposed her stomach.
Frank Lee and Thomas gasped when they saw an oval red mark around Bianca’s navel. The mark pulsed as if it were breathing, which shocked Thomas the most because he was sure it wasn’t there a few days ago.
Thomas wanted to ask but remembered Leo’s earlier instructions and kept his mouth shut, staring at his daughter’s stomach.
Leo looked away from Bianca’s stomach and walked to the door. “Thomas, it’s more serious than I thought. Time is tight. I need the hearts of three adult roosters and the blood from the claw of a pure black cat. Also, prepare a large glass jar with a lid.”
“Leo, I’ll get them right away!” Thomas replied and left.
Leo returned to the room and continued drawing talismans. He understood that Bianca wasn’t possessed but cursed with a deadly worm known as the Corpse Worm Curse.
Leo couldn’t fathom what kind of person would inflict such a cruel curse on a woman. The curse involved planting corpse worm eggs in the body, which would hatch and devour the internal organs before bursting out.
Bianca’s curse was in its final stage. Without Leo’s talismans suppressing it, the eggs would have already hatched. Though he didn’t know why Bianca was cursed, Leo felt compelled to help her.
In less than an hour, Thomas returned with two sealed bags containing three rooster hearts and cat claw blood. “Leo, here are the items you needed,” Thomas said as he entered.
Leo nodded and took the items. “Please find me a basin,” he requested.
Thomas brought a basin, and Leo asked him to wait outside. Leo placed the basin on the table, poured in the rooster hearts and cat claw blood, and added a talisman. The talisman ignited upon contact with the blood, causing a brief flame.
Leo made a hand sign over the basin, and when he looked again, only dark red blood remained; the rooster hearts had vanished. He took a wolf hair brush, dipped it in the blood, and began drawing on Bianca’s stomach.
Using Bianca’s body as parchment, Leo drew talismans to dispel the Corpse Worm Curse. The blood turned golden as he drew, despite its original dark red color. Remarkably, Leo never dipped the brush again; the blood in the basin decreased as he worked.
When Leo finished, the blood in the basin was gone. A golden symbol appeared on Bianca’s stomach. Leo made another hand sign, and the symbol flashed before disappearing. The pulsing mark on Bianca’s stomach stopped.
A strange syllable escaped Leo’s lips as talismans in Bianca’s hands ignited with blue flames. The room warmed up as if transitioning from winter to summer.
Leo squinted as his spiritual energy surged. The next step would alert the person who cursed Bianca and was crucial yet dangerous.
Leo summoned another talisman from the table, held it between his fingers like a sword, and chanted softly. The talisman burned with blue flames before Leo sent it into Bianca’s stomach.
Moving to the foot of the bed, Leo made continuous hand signs before stopping abruptly to chant softly for three minutes. Outside, Frank Lee and Thomas couldn’t hear him but felt an unseen terror approaching, causing them to step back while keeping their eyes on the room.
Leo’s eyes widened as he changed his hand signs. Flames from Bianca’s hands formed an arc connecting to her navel, releasing a fierce aura.
The golden talisman lines reappeared on Bianca’s stomach. Leo stepped forward, flicking away the blanket covering her lower body.
He pressed his index fingers into Bianca’s soles, causing a strange wave to hit him. Leo smirked; he wanted the curse worm to attack.
Using rooster hearts and cat claw blood to draw talismans harnessed pure yang energy to force out the Corpse Worm Curse. The more powerful the curse worm, the more it hated pure yang energy.
