Leo pondered deeply.
“You helped us, so we are your eternal friends. We came specifically to tell you where the Sect Master is now.”
“Moreover, he is seriously injured, making it the best time to eliminate the threat.”
Leo wasn’t afraid of the Sect Master seeking revenge, but as Aunt Xena mentioned, he had loved ones and friends. If the Sect Master targeted them, Leo couldn’t protect them around the clock.
After a moment of silence, Leo made a decision and asked Aunt Xena, “Where is the Sect Master now?”
“In a place called Peaceful Flour Mill in Eastflower County, not far from Langstel,” Aunt Xena replied.
“Thank you for the information,” Leo nodded.
After bidding farewell to the two foxes, Leo drove directly to Eastflower County.
Eastflower County was surrounded by mountains. Ten years ago, it was an isolated and impoverished village. Later, government reforms and significant investments led to the construction of a highway connecting the isolated regions. This highway created development opportunities, transforming Eastflower into today’s Eastflower County.
By evening, outside a Flour Mill on the west side of Eastflower County, Leo stood by the roadside, smiling as he observed. It was an ordinary Flour Mill. If Aunt Xena hadn’t told him, Leo wouldn’t have believed the Sect Master would hide in such a place.
Circling the small factory, Leo noticed numerous surveillance cameras, indicating tight security. Smiling slightly, he turned and left.
As night fell, around nine o’clock, the factory ceased production, and the workers left. Emerging from the darkness, Leo donned a mask and leaped into the air, landing inside the factory.
After a brief survey, Leo headed straight for the office building within the factory.
“Who goes there? Stop!” A shout rang out as several people quickly approached, forming a circle around him. Leo swiftly moved towards the office building.
A flash of cold light shot out from the office lobby, aiming directly at Leo’s heart. The attack was swift and fierce. However, Leo had already sensed the ambush. Before landing, he released a prepared wind blade.
With a crisp sound, the attacking light shattered, followed by a muffled groan. With a casual wave, Leo’s wind blade turned and killed the hidden assailant.
“We’ve been exposed! Attack together!” Four or five figures rushed towards Leo simultaneously. Leo unleashed several wind blades; none who approached could withstand them. Soon after, more than ten people surrounded him.
Just as Leo was about to unleash a massacre, an elderly voice called out, “Friend, please hold your hand.”
An elderly man appeared before Leo. “Friend, if Heaven’s Origin Sect has offended you in any way, please let me know. I will ensure you receive a satisfactory explanation,” the old man said earnestly.
Leo remained silent, calmly staring at the old man. The old man’s heart sank at Leo’s silence, sensing trouble. He wasn’t afraid of offending people, but this was Heaven’s Origin Sect’s most critical moment in decades; any mistake could lead to its downfall.
“Friend, no matter your reason, if you leave now, I will offer you a reward that satisfies you,” the old man continued, now resorting to bribery.
“Any reward?” Leo finally spoke.
The old man was overjoyed and quickly nodded. “Any reward.”
Leo sneered, “What if I want your Sect Master?”
The old man’s face changed dramatically. The surrounding Heaven’s Origin Sect disciples assumed attack positions again, exuding fierce killing intent.
The old man’s expression turned grim. “Friend, it seems you came specifically for our Sect Master.”
Leo coldly replied, “Since you know that, stop wasting words. All of you will die!”
With that, Leo’s hands moved, releasing wind blades. The old man roared in anger, “Kill him!”
In less than a minute, everyone fell to the ground, including the old man. With Leo’s current cultivation level, dealing with these people was like cutting through butter.
As Leo prepared to finish off the barely breathing old man, a figure cloaked in black appeared.
“It’s you!” A hoarse voice emerged from the cloak, filled with uncontrollable anger.
“Sect Master, I didn’t expect you to still be alive,” Leo sneered.
“You brat! Because of you, Heaven’s Origin Sect’s decades of preparation have been ruined. You deserve to die!”
Leo snorted coldly. “Heaven may forgive sins committed by nature; self-inflicted sins cannot be escaped. Today, I will act on behalf of heaven and help you find release.”
“Arrogant brat! Die!” The Sect Master roared as he lunged at Leo with hands emitting black energy tendrils.
As Leo retreated, he released a golden chain. The chain extended through the air, coiling and striking with flexibility and strength for both offense and defense.
Seeing the golden chain reminded the Sect Master of past encounters; his rage exploded uncontrollably.
“You brat! I will kill you!”
The Sect Master charged at Leo recklessly. Leo manipulated the golden chain to quickly bind him. The Sect Master let out a strange laugh as his body began to swell rapidly. The golden chain tightened with creaking sounds as if it couldn’t contain him anymore.
The Sect Master’s body swelled beyond limits; his black robe tore apart. His true form was revealed. At that sight, Leo almost vomited his dinner.
The Sect Master’s features were twisted; his hair had fallen out; his face was covered in black spots and yellow fluids; his mouth gaped open with rows of ugly teeth. His body had swelled to two or three meters with an extra pair of arms growing under his original ones-no, they were ghost claws!
“Die! All must die!” The transformed Sect Master let out an eerie howl. Suddenly, his four arms spread wide as sinister energy enveloped the still-breathing old man.
Terrified beyond measure, the old man pleaded loudly, “Sect Master, spare me! Sect Master…”
Before he could finish speaking, his body shriveled as if drained of all fluids and quickly collapsed into dust. Similarly, all corpses on the ground shriveled and disintegrated into powder.
Leo gasped in shock. At that moment, he sensed a familiar aura from the Sect Master-the same aura from the Necromantic Sword’s Undead! Could those Undead have possessed the Sect Master?
