“Pelens Zion’s great-grandfather?!”
Flynn’s eyes instantly sharpened, a hint of excitement appearing on his face.
“That’s right! Zion’s great-grandfather gave the ring to a man,” Freddie nodded.
“A man? What’s his name?” Flynn asked quickly.
Freddie replied, “We haven’t found out yet. You know, it happened a hundred years ago, and it’s not easy to investigate. Moreover, the Hussain family is Pelens’ top family, and there is significant resistance to our investigation.”
Flynn nodded somewhat gloomily. The Hussain family was no ordinary family. If they investigated too openly, it might alert Zion.
Since confirming that his mother hadn’t died ten years ago, Flynn had become very cautious about matters related to her. He feared alarming their enemies, making them disappear without a trace and making it even harder to find his mother.
“Have Apollo continue the investigation but don’t press too hard to avoid alerting the forces behind this,” Flynn instructed before narrowing his eyes slightly and murmuring, “Zion will be in Niarak in a couple of days; it’s time to make contact with him.”
Ten years ago, the man with the black dragon head tattoo came for the Heaven’s Punishment Ring and even mobilized a hundred Grandmasters. This proved how important the Heaven’s Punishment Ring was to him. But why was it important? Was it worth a fortune? Something worth billions wouldn’t warrant such a massive mobilization of over a hundred Grandmasters.
The Dragon Blood Gem must have a secret. As for what that secret was, it could only be discovered by investigating the past owners of the gem. There was also the biologist escorted by international mercenaries. What was he doing in Pelens? These were urgent questions that needed answers.
But there had been no clues about the man with the black dragon head tattoo, which made Flynn very anxious.
After instructing Freddie on some matters, Flynn left Jade Ridge Jewelers directly.
By 7 PM, the dinner at Cherry Blossom Inn was about to start. Flynn called Harriet to ask if she wanted to come to Cherry Blossom Inn.
“No, I’m helping Miss George move her things. After we’re done, we’ll go eat rice noodles,” she replied.
They had agreed in the morning that Molly would temporarily stay with Scarlet to ensure her safety.
“Is there a lot to move? Should I come back early to help?” Flynn asked.
“Not much, just some clothes. We can handle it. Molly has quite an opinion of you; it’s better if you don’t come,” Scarlet said softly.
“An opinion?” Flynn was somewhat frustrated. “Living in a big house is better than squeezing into an old neighborhood!”
“Kindness taken as ill intent!”
Scarlet explained, “It’s not that reason. She says you’re the biggest pervert in history and advises me not to get too close to you.”
“Whenever your name comes up, Molly’s eyes blaze with anger; it’s quite scary.”
“What did you do to her?”
Flynn was bewildered and said innocently, “I just looked at her butt a couple of times; does she have to hate me for that?”
Scarlet was speechless. “You’d better behave yourself in front of her; otherwise, when her temper flares up, I won’t be able to stop her!”
She had no way of dealing with Flynn either. Men couldn’t resist those two glances, and Flynn was no exception. A graceful lady is what gentlemen desire!
To be honest, Molly’s butt was indeed very perky; even Scarlet, as a woman, felt envious and couldn’t help but take another look. How could Flynn resist?
Flynn hung up the phone and suddenly felt regretful. Molly living with Scarlet meant she would badmouth him every day!
“I’ve helped her several times; just because I looked twice, she wants to break me and Scarlet up?”
“This woman is so ungrateful!” Flynn grumbled unhappily.
“Flynn, Ms. Sharp has arrived at Cherry Blossom Inn; shall we go over too?” Harriet shook Flynn’s arm with a bright smile, her big eyes curving into crescent moons. Her innocent smile was pure as water.
Her whole being exuded youthful energy and would always show a shy expression when meeting Flynn’s gaze.
See? Isn’t this much better than Molly?
Women should be more gentle!
“Alright! Let’s go!”
…..
Meanwhile,
At Niarak Airport,
A Cessna private jet landed on the runway. The cabin door opened and a man stepped out. He had a burly figure and a prominent nose, exuding an aura that made people instinctively wary. Behind him were several bodyguards-tall and muscular with serious expressions that made them seem unapproachable.
The group exited the terminal.
“Mr. Darren!” Lilia waved and called out with a smile.
Sodaf from Achela paused for a moment before walking up and giving Lilia a polite hug with a smile.
“Miss Lilia, it’s great to see you!”
Lilia responded with a smile: “To be honest Mr. Sodaf, I’ve always considered you my idol.”
“When I heard you were going to invest, I was so excited I didn’t know what to do.”
“Welcome to Niarak for our cooperation!”
Though her words were courteous, they weren’t entirely insincere. Sodaf was the owner of Norris Pharmaceuticals with assets exceeding ten billion dollars and ranked tenth in Achela’s family wealth rankings-a true business giant.
Especially in the global pharmaceutical industry, he was legendary-an idol for Lilia.
Now willing to invest eighty billion dollars in her project naturally made Lilia ecstatic.
Sodaf laughed heartily at Lilia’s praise: “Haha… Miss Hussain flatters me too much! I have some connections with Miss Woods and trust her abilities; anyone she recommends can’t be bad.”
“So I’ve initially decided on an investment of eighty billion dollars; if things go well later on, I’ll add another fifty billion!”
Add another fifty billion if things go well?
Lilia couldn’t help but feel elated and quickly said: “Mr. Darren rest assured; I guarantee this business war will yield unlimited profits.”
“When it’s all over you’ll make at least forty billion!”
“I’ve booked the presidential suite at Cherry Blossom Inn; let’s head there now!”
Lilia personally opened the car door for Darren and after they got into the Mercedes they headed straight for Cherry Blossom Inn.
On the way they continued their conversation agreeing preliminarily to sign contracts at Lilia’s company tomorrow when eighty billion dollars would be transferred into Hussain Group’s account.
“With Darren’s eighty billion plus our domestic investments our alliance will have nearly one trillion dollars.”
“With this trillion we can easily take down Sharp Group.”
“Taking down Sharp Group will not only restore Dragon Gate Group but also yield huge profits!”
“And Sharp Group owns two ancient medical formulas; if we crush them those formulas will belong entirely to our alliance creating trillions in profit!”
“Rose-the alliance raised one trillion dollars in just days; how can you compete with me?”
“Cruz may be finished but even if he were fine he couldn’t raise one trillion dollars!”
Lilia looked out at the night sky smiling confidently feeling victory within reach.
Under pressure from one trillion dollars Sharp Group would be like a lone boat on rough seas teetering on collapse while their alliance would crush them through this grand business war achieving total annexation!
