She stared at her father with determination before leaving.
As she turned, a single tear rolled across her father’s face. The room was silent other than the operations of the heart rate monitor.
Rosiley went directly to Group from the hospital.
At the front desk, she was stopped.
“Hello Miss, do you have an appointment?”
Ever after her relationship with her father had deteriorated, she had rarely been to Group. Hence, it was normal for the front desk to not know her.
“I have no appointment.” Rosiley replied honestly.
“Then you cannot enter.” The beautiful lady at the front desk smiled politely.
Rosiley raised her brows. “I am the daughter of Chairman Tang, Rosiley.”
She showed her identity. The pretty lady was stunned at first before replying gently, “I’m sorry. Regardless of your status, you cannot enter without an appointment.”
“When did you start working here?”
Rosiley suddenly asked.
The lady was stunned, “In the second half of last year.”
That was when her father had still been around.
Rosiley smiled at her. “I am proud of my father for having such professional staff.”
The lady could not help but smile. This time, it wasn’t a polite smile but an actual smile.
“Are you really the chairman’s daughter?” The lady asked suspiciously.
In her understanding, the children of rich families were usually arrogant and condescending.
They weren’t normally as friendly as her.
Rosiley knew what she was thinking and hence she smiled gently. “Yes, I am indeed my father’s daughter.”
“You are the sister of the lady upstairs?” the lady asked again.
Upstairs? Rosiley raised her brows and asked curiously, “Rorey?”
“Yes, her. Everyone in our company says that she will be the next chairwoman.”
The lady looked at her surroundings and whispered to Rosiley when she was sure that no one was looking at them. “She is very arrogant. Every time she comes, all the managers and directors flock to her. She will fire anyone she wants to fire, completely ignoring their relationship with the old chairman.”
As she spoke, Rosiley saw a familiar figure walking out of the lift.
She turned to have a better look at the man. It was someone she knew.
“Uncle Yang!” She shouted at the person.
Hearing that, he turned toward her. When he saw her, his gloomy face turned vibrant at once.
“Rosiley, why are you here?” Uncle Yang walked briskly toward her.
“Just here to take a look.” Rosiley smiled and answered.
She noticed that he was holding his briefcase and hence she asked, “Uncle Yang, are you leaving?”
Hearing that, Uncle Yang stopped smiling and sighed. “I’m going home to eat what I’ve stored over the years.”
He sounded unwilling and helpless.
“Manager Yang, have you been fired?” the lady at the front desk exclaimed.
Everyone knew that Manager Yang had been by the old chairman’s side since he was young, and had developed a close relationship with the old chairman.
“Uncle Yang, did Rorey fire you?”
“Yes, who else would it have been?” Uncle Yang was indignant. “How can chairman just fall sick like this when he has always been so healthy? He should not give the company to such a person even if he is ill. Has he forgotten you’re his daughter? Why is he so stupid?”
Seeing Uncle Yang shake his head and sigh indignantly, Rosiley felt uncomfortable. However, she became more determined to do what she wanted to do.
She would not let Rorey control Group.
