Chris Shelby didn’t bother with words and directly knocked them to the ground. The blond man harassing the girl was stunned.
“Kid, how dare you hit my men! You’re tired of living!” The blond man stood up and roared, and dozens of thugs surrounded Chris Shelby.
Chris Shelby looked at the blond man coldly and said, “Scum like you shouldn’t exist in this world!”
“Brothers, teach him a lesson!” The blond man was furious at Chris Shelby’s words. “Attack!”
Dozens of thugs charged at Chris Shelby. In an instant, Chris Shelby disappeared from his spot. With a series of punches, he knocked down the thugs in no time. They lay on the ground, groaning in pain, unable to move.
“Your turn!” Chris Shelby looked up at the blond man and walked towards him. The blond man couldn’t believe that Chris Shelby had taken down dozens of men alone.
“Kid, don’t mess around! I’m a hall master of Crazy Steer. If you touch me, you’re dead today!” Seeing Chris Shelby approach, the blond man shouted in panic.
Today, Crazy Steer had swept through Kelly King KTV, boosting their morale. Ironheart Steer had ordered everyone to rest for the night. The blond man had brought dozens of people out to eat at a street stall and decided to harass a girl, only to run into Chris Shelby.
Seeing Chris Shelby’s strength, the blond man could only bring up the name of Crazy Steer. Crazy Steer was now the largest gang on the East Coast and had a significant reputation. Many people were terrified just hearing their name.
“Crazy Steer?” Chris Shelby frowned upon hearing this name again. Recently, Crazy Steer had been causing trouble everywhere. One day, he would have to ask James Mester how he was managing the East Coast and why Crazy Steer had suddenly appeared!
“I don’t care if you’re from Crazy Steer or any other gang. If you dare harass innocent women, I won’t let you go!” With that, Chris Shelby charged forward. Before the blond man could react, Chris Shelby punched him hard.
With a loud bang, the blond man was sent flying and landed heavily on the ground, passing out. “Get lost!” Chris Shelby didn’t even look at them and returned to his table.
Seeing this, the thugs quickly carried the blond man away. They knew Chris Shelby was ruthless and didn’t dare stay any longer.
“Thank you!” The girl approached Chris Shelby with gratitude. If not for him, she couldn’t imagine what would have happened. Crazy Steer was notorious on the East Coast; their members were ruthless.
Chris Shelby waved it off and said, “It was nothing. Just serve the food.” The girl nodded, and soon their food arrived.
As Chris Shelby and Marie were eating and drinking heartily, a commotion arose in the distance. Street vendors started packing up in panic, turning the street into chaos.
Chris Shelby asked curiously, “What’s happening?”
Marie frowned and said, “Mr. Shelby, it must be the patrol office people.”
“Patrol office?” Chris Shelby recalled many negative reports about them online. They were said to be Amerosia’s most aggressive unit, causing chaos wherever they went.
Chris Shelby hadn’t expected to encounter them while having a meal. He asked Marie curiously, “Are these patrol office people really that fierce?”
Marie nodded. “Yes! Near East Coast University, they often come by, beating vendors and confiscating their goods. People are too scared to speak out against them.”
Hearing this made Chris Shelby’s face darken. He didn’t oppose maintaining street hygiene but found these patrol officers to be nothing more than bullies.
The street stall owner saw them approaching and shouted to his daughter, “Quickly pack up!”
“Okay, Dad!” The girl hurriedly packed up.
The owner apologized to Chris Shelby, “Sorry! We have to pack up; otherwise, they’ll confiscate everything.”
Chris Shelby looked frustrated. “But I haven’t finished eating.”
The owner looked troubled but then offered reluctantly, “You can eat for free tonight.”
He felt pained saying this since Chris Shelby’s order cost hundreds of dollars. But with no choice against the patrol office’s arrival, losing his stall would be devastating for his family.
In the distance, a large truck filled with confiscated goods approached with many patrol officers on motorcycles wielding rubber batons.
These officers ruthlessly smashed vendor stalls before confiscating them and throwing them onto the truck. Vendors trying to stop them were beaten mercilessly.
Seeing this made Chris Shelby’s face even darker. He had read about their brutality online but now saw it firsthand.
The stall owner panicked as they approached and pleaded with Chris Shelby to leave quickly before it was too late.
Chris Shelby sneered and said, “Don’t worry! I want to see what these patrol officers can do to me.”
As the king of East Coast, he felt it was his duty to protect its citizens from such bullies.
