Chapter 1266: Going to Eat at a Food Stall

“You’re looking for trouble!” Bull was furious when he saw Ironheart Steer’s arrogance. Ever since he had joined James Mester, he had never been treated like this. Crazy Steer was nothing to him before, but now they dared to be so brazen. If he didn’t crush them, how could he continue to operate on the East Coast?
With that thought, Bull waved his hand and shouted, “Brothers, take them down!”
“Attack!”
“Attack!”
“Attack!”
At his command, thousands of members from the East Coast Security Company charged at Crazy Steer. A fierce battle quickly erupted between the two sides.
An hour later, due to the overwhelming difference in numbers, the East Coast Security Company began to fall behind. Although they had 300, 000 members, the East Coast was vast and each area needed guards. Having a few thousand people guarding Kelly King KTV was already quite good. After all, no one expected anyone on the East Coast to dare challenge the East Coast Security Company.
“Mr. Bull, we need to go!” Seeing that they couldn’t hold out any longer, over a hundred members of the East Coast Security Company escorted Bull away.
Bull looked back one last time and shouted angrily, “Ironheart Steer, you wait! I’ll settle this score with you sooner or later!” With that, Bull fled with his men. Staying any longer was pointless; it was better to retreat and gather more forces before coming back to destroy Crazy Steer.
“Hahaha!” Ironheart Steer laughed triumphantly as Bull fled. “The East Coast Security Company is nothing special. From now on, the underground world of the East Coast will be mine!”
Soon enough, news spread that Ironheart Steer had swept through the territories of the East Coast Security Company. The entire East Coast was in an uproar. No one expected Ironheart Steer to be so bold as to seize territory from the East Coast Security Company, which was currently the dominant force on the East Coast. This act was a direct challenge to their authority.
At the same time, everyone turned their attention to how the East Coast Security Company would respond to Crazy Steer’s provocation.
Meanwhile…
After rescuing Marie, Chris Shelby walked out of East Coast University with her. The area around the university was bustling with activity in the evening, filled with numerous food stalls.
Chris Shelby looked at Marie and said, “Marie, it’s getting late. How about we grab something to eat first? I’ll take you home afterward.”
Marie nodded and said, “Okay!”
Chris Shelby asked, “Marie, what would you like to eat?”
Suddenly, Marie spotted a food stall by the roadside and exclaimed excitedly, “Mr. Shelby, can we eat there?”
Chris Shelby was momentarily taken aback. He had assumed Marie would prefer a restaurant but didn’t expect her to choose a roadside food stall. The simplicity and charm of a rural girl were evident.
Chris Shelby smiled and said, “Sure!”
Soon, they arrived at a food stall and sat down. A teenage girl with a delicate appearance approached them and asked, “Hello, what would you like to order?”
Chris Shelby smiled and said, “Bring us all your signature dishes and a few bottles of beer.”
Hearing this, the girl’s eyes lit up. Chris Shelby’s order would cost at least several hundred dollars; she knew they were big spenders.
The girl quickly responded, “Alright, coming right up!”
Marie watched the girl walk away and sighed softly. “Mr. Shelby, seeing this girl working at such a young age reminds me of myself when I was younger.”
Seeing this girl brought back memories for Marie of her own impoverished childhood when she had to grow up fast.
Chris Shelby sighed and said, “There’s not much that can be done about it. Although Amerosia’s economy is developing well now, the gap between rich and poor is widening. Some people spend tens of thousands on a single meal while others work hard all year for just a few thousand.”
As Amerosia’s Primus, Chris Shelby was well aware of society’s current state. It was precisely because of this that he aimed to turn the East Coast into a fortress where ordinary people could have more fair opportunities.
Just then, a group of thugs walked over. They were all young men in their twenties with tattoos and brightly colored hair. Seeing these thugs scared away all the other customers except for Chris Shelby.
A man with yellow-dyed hair stepped forward and shouted loudly, “Boss! Bring out all your food!”
The food stall owner turned pale with fear upon seeing so many thugs.
The teenage girl approached them nervously and asked timidly, “Hello… What would you like to eat?”
The man with yellow hair looked at her and his eyes lit up immediately. Although she wasn’t particularly beautiful, she had an innocent charm that was hard to find these days.
He laughed lecherously and said, “Haha! I didn’t expect such a pretty girl here! Hurry up and bring out all your best dishes!”
“Okay!” The girl nodded quickly before turning away.
Seeing so many thugs made Marie anxious. She said nervously to Chris Shelby, “Mr. Shelby… should we go somewhere else?”
Chris Shelby shook his head calmly and said, “It’s fine! They’re just small-time thugs; nothing to worry about.”
Soon enough, the girl returned with food for the yellow-haired man’s table. As she turned to leave after serving them, he grabbed her hand and teased her flirtatiously: “Hey there pretty girl! How about having a drink with me?”
The girl panicked immediately: “No! I don’t drink! Please let me go!”
“Hahaha!” The yellow-haired man laughed loudly: “Tonight you’ll drink whether you want to or not! Or else I’ll get rough!”
“Help! Help me!” The girl cried out in fear.
Seeing this unfold made Chris Shelby unable to stand by any longer; he stood up and walked towards them directly.
“Hey kid! What do you think you’re doing?” Several thugs blocked his path as he approached.
Chris Shelby’s face turned cold: “Get lost!”
“Kid! Are you looking for trouble?” The thugs started cursing loudly at Chris Shelby’s defiant attitude.
