When Rosiley saw the depressed Morphy, she couldn’t hold back and laughed out loud.
Snowy frowned. “Did I say something funny?”
Rosiley lifted up her head to look at her before smiling embarrassingly. “No, no.”
“Are you Sachin’s wife?” Snowy asked.
“Yes.”
Unknowingly, Rosiley felt that this pretty woman made her feel a sense of oppression, which made her a little nervous and worried.
Snowy lifted her brows and turned to look at Sachin. “Does Uncle Lu know about this?”
Sachin squinted, a hint of chillness flashing across his eyes. “That’s not important.”
Rosiley could feel that the atmosphere around him became stifling, especially when Snowy mentioned “Uncle Lu”.
From Corey’s mouth, she heard about the circumstances of the Lu family. She knew that while this aristocratic family seemed luxurious to others, there was ugliness hidden within.
She believed that he must have hated his father.
Just like her.
She could not help holding his hand. He turned around to look at her with surprise.
She smiled gently but he saw the care and concern within her eyes and understood what she was thinking about. Love erupted within his black pupils as he crossed fingers with her.
They stared at each other mesmerizingly, making the other two roll their eyes.
“Morphy, do they always show off their love as if no one were around?”
“They always show off their love. We need to get used to this.” Morphy appeared to have been through a lot.
Snowy smiled and did not comment any further.
In her impression, Sachin had always been cold and unfeeling, with no interest in relationships at all. She originally thought that he would be single forever and did not expect him to be the first one to get married.
It was incredible!
“since it’s the first time that my sister-in-law is here, it’s my treat.” Snowy removed their bill proudly.
“I didn’t intend to pay anyway.”
It was a rare occasion for Sachin to joke.
The atmosphere was harmonious and relaxed. Snowy was also completely different from the first impression she gave Rosiley. She seemed to be extremely casual, unlike other prideful aristocratic ladies.
At the height of their conversation, she asked the manager to send a few bottles of wine over, saying that she would drink with them until they got drunk.
Thus, Rosiley’s initial intention of eating good food became a gathering between friends.
Finally, Snowy was drunk. She lay on the table, murmuring, “Sachin, since you are happy now, I am assured, assured…”
Hearing this sentence, Rosiley raised her brows. She seemed to be hiding a story.
She turned her head to look at Sachin, who was talking to the manager. Even his side profile was so perfect that he evoked the jealousy of others.
For such a perfect and outstanding man, surely girls close to him would fall in love with him, right?
Like… Snowy.
Growing up together, similar family background, and outstanding looks… They seemed to be the male and female leads in a romance novel.
However, Rosiley pursed her lips. Snowy seemed to be treating Sachin like a younger brother, with no other emotions mixed in.
“Is that how it was originally? Or is it because I’m here?”
Before Rosiley could even comprehend what was happening, she could hear Sachin’s low voice ring next to her ears.
“Rosiley, let’s go home.”
