Chapter 434: Nash Is Bragging

“Uncles, if you have something to say, just say it directly!” Charlotte said calmly. “I’m all ears.”
She already sensed something was off. In the past, this group of people would always scold her harshly and treat her with disdain. Now, their attitude had changed so drastically, it felt like a dream. Charlotte wasn’t a child anymore; how could she be fooled by them? Did they really think she was an idiot?
A hint of disdain appeared in Charlotte’s eyes. These people were laughable; they probably wanted to squeeze some value out of her again. Having such family members was truly unfortunate.
Russell chuckled and said, “Charlotte, don’t say that. We called you back today to catch up. We’re all part of the Pittman family, one branch of the same tree. A harmonious family is what makes a home.”
“In the past, it was your grandfather who was misguided and did many things wrong,” he continued. “We’re here to apologize to your family.”
Maverick’s tone turned stern as he said, “Charlotte, your grandfather has already done this much. What more do you want? Can you show some respect for your elders?”
Hearing his rebuke, Charlotte sneered. “That depends on whether certain people act like elders or like ruffians. I treat people based on how they act. If someone behaves disgracefully, don’t blame me for not giving face. But since Grandpa is so sincere, as his granddaughter, I naturally can’t hold a grudge.”
Charlotte sat down, and Nash sat beside her.
Maverick wanted to scold her but was stopped by Georgia, who quickly said, “Dad, that guy is not simple. He participated in the Time Group auction today!”
“So what?” Maverick was puzzled.
“Ugh,” Georgia rolled her eyes at him. “Do you think Time Group is cheap? Have you forgotten the starting bid for Time Group?”
Hearing this, Maverick immediately broke out in a cold sweat. Georgia made a good point. The starting bid for Time Group was two billion dollars, not something an ordinary person could afford. If this young man could afford it, he was certainly not an ordinary person. They might not be able to afford to offend him.
Seeing Charlotte sit down confidently, Russell finally spoke up. “Charlotte, who is this beside you? Aren’t you going to introduce him?”
He could tell that this young man was extraordinary. His clothes and accessories were all high-end brands, and the total cost was likely over a million dollars. Such a young man was probably a big shot, so Russell decided to ask first to avoid offending him. Besides, this young man looked much more pleasing than Quentin.
“Grandpa, I’m Nash!” Nash spoke up first. “Our Pollard family used to have a good relationship with Uncle Bai’s family. Charlotte and I grew up together. Don’t you remember?”
Hearing this, Russell was taken aback. “Oh, I remember now! So you’re the Pollard family’s boy. You’ve grown up so much and become so mature and handsome that I didn’t recognize you!”
“You’re too kind,” Nash smiled.
“Where are you working now? I heard from your parents that your job is quite good!” Russell asked.
Nash pretended to be modest. “Personally, I’m working at Marblegate Group right now. I’ve been sent back to represent the company in China.”
“Within Marblegate Group, I’m responsible for some major investments. My annual salary isn’t that impressive-just a few million dollars a year. After various expenses, there’s not much left.”
“In essence, I’m just an employee managing a lot of funds that aren’t mine,” he sighed, appearing very helpless.
