Just as Elder Grey was about to attack Hannah again, Leo launched an attack.
Elder Grey suddenly transformed into a gray fox, dodging Leo’s attack.
Taking advantage of the brief pause, Leo positioned himself in front of Hannah.
He looked at the gray fox, poised to attack, and warned, “This gray fox has lost its intelligence; it seems to be controlled by some force.”
Hannah glanced at the gray fox, sensing the eerie, sinister aura emanating from it, unlike the unique demonic aura of the Spirit Fox Clan.
“Leo, how could this happen?” Hannah struggled to comprehend what she was seeing.
Leo shook his head. “I don’t know, but it’s not a good sign. I’ll handle this gray fox. You go into the temple and find your inheritance.”
“Alright, Leo, be careful.”
Hannah turned and ran towards the Spirit Fox Temple. The barriers around the temple did not affect her due to her white fox bloodline.
The gray fox instinctively chased after her but crashed into the barrier.
The collision triggered the fox’s rage, redirecting all its anger and hatred towards Leo.
“Maggie!” Leo called out, and ghost spirit Maggie appeared instantly.
“Take care of this gray fox. Teach it a lesson.”
“Yes!” Maggie responded, her killing intent flaring as she charged at the gray fox.
Minutes later, the gray fox lay on the ground, blood trickling from its mouth, barely alive.
Maggie turned to Leo, silently asking if she should kill the fox.
Leo nodded.
After Maggie killed the gray fox, three other foxes attacking the barrier suddenly collapsed, blood streaming from their mouths and eyes, lifeless.
Hannah had already disappeared into the temple. Though Leo wanted to help her, he couldn’t break through the barrier without causing further complications as Hannah had warned.
“Maggie, guard Hannah here. I’ll explore other areas to see if I can find some Spirit Medicine.”
“Yes, young master,” Maggie replied.
Leo used an Earth Concealment Technique to explore other parts of the secret realm.
When he reappeared, he found himself in a garden similar to the Wonderland Garden but knew it wasn’t the same place.
Standing still, he expanded his spiritual sense. After a while, his eyes lit up.
The black fox demon that had escaped earlier was here!
Leo formed a golden chain with his spiritual power. Under his control, the chain slithered like a snake into the flower bushes.
A black shadow suddenly darted out; it was the black fox.
The black fox tried to escape again, but the golden chain quickly ensnared it like lightning.
The black fox struggled violently, almost breaking free. Leo threw another golden chain at it.
With two chains binding it, the black fox couldn’t escape.
Since this black fox existed in the secret realm, it must know where valuable items were hidden.
Leo intended to capture it alive to use a secret technique to extract its memories.
As Leo approached the bound fox, it let out a piercing scream and began to swell like a balloon before exploding with a loud bang.
The sudden explosion startled Leo.
Self-destruction? That was unexpected.
With his plan foiled, Leo decided to search for another evil spirit.
However, after exploring for a while, he couldn’t find any living creatures, let alone an evil spirit.
He decided to collect some Spirit Medicine from the garden instead.
Forming a shovel with his spiritual power, he started digging up plants and storing them in his Void Storage Talisman.
He noticed that the soil here was different. If he took some back and planted Spirit Medicine at Spirit Crocodile Cliff, it would be beneficial.
He scooped up some black soil and examined it closely. It looked ordinary but emitted a unique fragrance that refreshed him with just one breath.
Since Spirit Medicine grew from this soil, its value was evident.
He filled his Void Storage Talisman with as much soil as possible.
Having collected Spirit Medicine and soil, Leo decided to return to the Spirit Fox Temple.
Seeing Leo return, Maggie’s face lit up. “Young master, you’re back.”
“Maggie, has Hannah not come out yet?”
“No.”
“We’ll wait a bit longer.”
Just as Leo finished speaking, a blue-purple light shot from Maggie into the temple at lightning speed.
Leo realized it was the Divine Moon Bead meant for Maggie’s cultivation, likely summoned by Hannah. Had she received her inheritance?
As Leo pondered this, the ground began to tremble more violently than before. Cracks spread across the sky above the temple.
The cracks expanded rapidly, threatening to shatter everything.
Mountains and lakes around the temple started collapsing as if an earthquake had struck.
It was like watching a structure made of blocks crumble into pieces.
“Young master, this space is about to collapse completely,” Maggie said anxiously.
With no sign of Hannah emerging from the temple, Leo grew anxious. Without her guidance, he didn’t know how to leave the secret realm.
As he prepared to rush into the temple, a strange song reached his ears. The ethereal melody calmed him down.
Following the sound, he saw a white figure floating towards him-it was Daisy’s spirit.
Daisy’s spirit seemed unaware of the collapsing space. She floated towards Leo, singing happily as if she were in high spirits.
