Dave chuckled, leaning in to whisper in her ear, “You know, I’m quite susceptible to your charms. By teasing me like this tonight…”
Bianca blushed, playfully pushed him away, and declared, “Tonight, I’m sleeping in a separate room!”
“Let’s discuss it when we get back,” Dave replied with a slight smile, taking her hand and leading her back eagerly.
Upon arriving home, Dave received a message from Zane.
In the bathroom, Bianca prepared for bed, wearing a light-colored cotton nightgown. Meanwhile, Dave strolled over, leaning casually against the doorframe with his back against it, one hand casually tucked in his pocket. His shirt was unbuttoned at the collar.
His gaze, filled with desire and a touch of mischief, fixed on Bianca.
“Why aren’t you wearing that red nightdress?” he teased, his lips curling into a flirtatious smile as he talked in his magnetic voice, his words carrying a playful hint.
Bianca’s face turned pink. She knew Dave was referring to the lacy nightgown she had bought while shopping with Diana. Wearing it often led to a night of passionate intimacy with Dave, and she admired how this man seemed to have endless energy.
It was quite tiring.
“Well… it’s a bit dirty. I washed it,” she said nervously, wiping her face with a towel before turning to Dave.
Dave had already guessed her answer from her expression. He nodded knowingly. “My boss just texted. He said he’s arranged with Twitter; they’ll send someone to cover and follow your company’s opening ceremony tomorrow.”
“Twitter?!” Bianca exclaimed, finding it unbelievable. She had originally tried to get Twitter to cover her event, but they were fully booked and seemed uninterested. So, she had settled on working with Eastview Television Network instead.
“That’s amazing!” Bianca said, excitement evident in her voice as she hugged Dave. “Twitter’s reach is bigger than any TV network. Their support is incredible. Your boss is truly remarkable. He seems capable of anything. I’m starting to admire him!”
A faint frown appeared on Dave’s face. Despite being the boss Bianca was praising, a subtle feeling of jealousy crept in.
Was he really feeling jealous of himself?
It was a strange and irrational sensation.
“Bianc, remember, the man standing right here is me. Don’t idolize other men. Just idolize me, and that’ll be plenty,” Dave teased, gently pinching Bianca’s cheek.
“Narcissistic,” Bianca pouted, though her eyes gleaming with warmth.
Dave, almost smitten, admired her smiling face and huskily said, “It’s late; let’s head to bed.”
Taking her hand, he led her towards the bedroom.
“Hey, I said we’re sleeping separately tonight,” Bianca reminded him.
Dave responded to her feeble resistance by scooping her up horizontally. Lowering his gaze, a mischievous smile played on his lips, causing her heart to flutter. “Husband and wife should sleep together,” he whispered warmly.
“We’re not married yet!” Bianca lightly tapped his muscular chest with her fist.
“Before long, you’ll be my wife. Why not start practicing now to get used to our future together?”
His words touched the tenderest part of her heart. She nestled her head in Dave’s embrace, finding comfort in the steady rhythm of his strong heartbeat.
They would be together forever, wouldn’t they?
She was confident in her belief.
The next day, Bianca arrived at her company earlier than usual.
She dressed in professional attire: a smooth black blouse under a gray suit jacket. Every button was neatly fastened, highlighting her slender waist. She wore fitted gray trousers that gracefully complemented her shapely legs.
Bianca looked polished and striking.
Dave had cleared half of his day to be with Bianca. He was also impeccably dressed in a tailored dark suit, exuding charisma.
As the first to arrive, they carefully began setting up every detail of the venue, piece by piece, with focused attention.
At 9 am, Diana, rubbing her sleepy eyes, also arrived at the company.
She noticed a man nearby, casually standing with one hand in his pocket; his back turned as he concentrated on writing something on an autograph board. His handwriting was bold and confident, matching his exceptional good looks.
Diana leaned towards Bianca, gently tapping her shoulder. She nodded towards the man and whispered, “Bianc, who is that guy? He’s really attractive.”
It was Diana’s first time seeing Dave in person.
“He’s my boyfriend,” Bianca replied casually, staying focused on her tasks.
Diana was surprised and gave Bianca a thumbs-up. “Bianc, you’ve snagged such a handsome guy. You’re setting the standard for all of us!”
“Don’t tease. Let’s get to work quickly; the media will arrive soon.”
Meanwhile, just a hundred meters away, preparations for Natalie’s fan meeting were in full swing. Leading the entire event was none other than Ashley herself.
After missing out on the lead role in Vincent’s new movie, Natalie quickly struck a deal with Golden Gate Films and enthusiastically signed on for a new film.
During this period, Ashley had the opportunity to meet Natalie and get to know her.
In the glitzy world of the entertainment industry, a rivalry sparked between Bianca and Natalie, fueled by past disagreements over casting decisions and stoked by Ashley’s deliberate provocative comments.
“Natalie, Bianca’s arrogance has no limits. After Sophia got the role, Bianca swiftly organized a grand company launch, even securing coverage from Eastview Television Network. She’s using this opportunity to boost her fame. Maybe you would’ve landed the lead in Vincent’s new movie without her interference. It seems she’s trying to overshadow you and climb higher. Trust me, she’ll do whatever it takes,” Ashley remarked, adding fuel to Natalie’s growing resentment towards Bianca.
Encouraged by Ashley, Natalie decided to hold a large fan meeting to overshadow Bianca’s opening ceremony.
Meanwhile, Ashley was busy arranging the meeting venue but couldn’t help but notice Bianca and her team bustling from a distance at the company’s entrance.
Approaching Bianca confidently, she remarked, “Bianca, if I were you, I’d reconsider hosting the opening today. Right next door, Natalie’s hosting a fan meeting. You know how popular she is. Your event might fall in comparison and could damage your reputation if word gets out online.”
Bianca looked up at Ashley’s rude and boastful face. It turned out that Ashley had pushed Natalie to suddenly hold a fan meeting.
Facing Ashley’s arrogance, Bianca responded with a slight smile, “So, Ashley, you needed Natalie’s help because you couldn’t handle things on your own? Are you just someone who runs to others for support?”
“You!” Ashley glared angrily but held back, replying with a sneer, “Your sarcasm won’t help you. Your time to regret will come!”
As the time for the fan meeting and opening ceremony approached, Natalie’s car drove past Bianca and Ashley, stopping nearby.
Natalie rolled down her window, wearing large sunglasses that only showed her delicate chin and red lips.
