Chapter 147: What’s A Secret Making A Woman Smile

If Brandon hadn’t witnessed Dave embracing Bianca earlier, he would have assumed Dave was entirely indifferent to women’s allure.
Feeling the tension in the room, Brandon couldn’t take it any longer. He stood up from the couch and looked at both of them intently.
“You didn’t just invite me here to smoke and drink, did you?” he asked, pressing the question.
Michael stubbed out his cigarette, propping his chin on his hand with a mischievous smile. “Brandon, Dave has something to ask you. He sent me to fetch you.”
Brandon’s eyes widened in disbelief. “What could he possibly need to ask me? This is unexpected.”
Michael chuckled. “We’ve seen some unexpected things lately. Brandon, you have quite a reputation as a ladies’ man who is skilled at charming women. Dave wants to know: what’s the secret to making a woman smile when she’s feeling down?”
Brandon turned his gaze to Dave, who appeared calm and composed, dressed in a crisp white shirt and a sharp business waistcoat. His hands, with their distinctive joints, held the cigarette with the confidence of a successful businessman.
“Dave, are you currently involved with someone?” Brandon asked cautiously.
As Dave’s gaze turned icy, Michael shot Brandon a meaningful look. “I’d advise against pushing too hard. If you upset him, you might find yourself blacklisted in your industry!”
Brandon quickly covered his mouth, realizing the seriousness of the situation.
“Michael, you’re unusually chatty today. Did some woman break your heart?” Dave glanced at Michael.
Michael raised an eyebrow and chuckled, “Impossible. No woman has the power to break my heart.”
Dave responded with a cold, mocking snort at Michael’s obviously insincere smile.
“It’s really quite simple to make a girl happy,” Brandon said, reclining on the sofa with his arms draped over the back. “Women are driven by emotions. They don’t care about who’s right or wrong; they care about how you make them feel.” He spoke confidently as if an expert in the matter.
Michael took a drag from his cigarette, squinting at Brandon. “Do you have any practical tips?”
Brandon let out a sigh. Sitting up straight, he began, “Alright, here’s some real advice. Step one: let your sweet words work their magic! Show your love through compliments and kind gestures. Tell her she’s beautiful, intelligent, and generous-those words always work wonders.”
Michael looked skeptical, exchanging a glance with Dave, who remained composed.
“Step two: create moments to get close to her at the right time. Whether it’s trapping her gently against a wall or leaning in close in a car, pair it with a loving gaze. Then, without saying a word, go in for a kiss that leaves her feeling swept off her feet and completely captivated!”
“Step three: spend money on her! No girl can resist a man who spoils her. To them, it’s not just about showing off your wealth; it’s also a way to show how deeply you care and love her,” Brandon declared, crossing his arms and focusing on the two men. “With these three steps, you’ll definitely make a girl happy. So, have you guys picked up on these lessons?”
Michael listened thoughtfully before responding, “The third step is straightforward, but the first two…” He glanced at Dave’s composed expression. “Dave, can you handle that?”
Dave remained silent, grabbed his jacket, stood up, and walked towards the exit of the private room. “I need some fresh air,” he muttered.
Meanwhile, inside Bianca’s private room, laughter and happiness filled the air. People were celebrating with champagne and cutting into a festive cake. It was a lively and joyful atmosphere.
They raised their glasses in cheers, having already enjoyed several rounds of champagne. In the midst of Vincent and Ruby’s presence, Bianca, feeling the influence of alcohol, shared her dream of starting her own talent agency and sought the opinions of these influential figures.
Upon hearing Bianca’s aspirations, Ruby’s face lit up with a warm, approving smile. She saw in Bianca the same courage as her mother.
“Bianca, you’re an exceptional young woman. Have faith in yourself and pursue your dreams. And remember, I’m here to support you no matter what. You have nothing to fear,” Ruby said warmly.
Vincent, known for his directness, chimed in next. “Bianca, you possess more talent than most people in this room. It’s a shame to see you confined to just being an executive agent at Phoenix Entertainment. Starting your own business is a solid idea. If you need funding, you can count on me for investment! I believe in you. Trust yourself.”
Vincent had long believed that the entertainment industry needed new, bold players to bring positive change.
The backing from both Vincent and Ruby for her business idea surprised Bianca, boosting her confidence and determination.
After a few rounds of drinks, Bianca started feeling a bit tipsy. Just then, her phone rang-it was Diana calling.
While the private room was set in a lively atmosphere, Bianca, feeling a bit dizzy, decided to step outside for some fresh air.
Bianca stepped out of the private room with her phone and answered Diana’s call in the quiet hallway. “Hey Diana, what’s up?”
“It’s late. Why are you still out? I’m bored here on my own.”
Bianca groaned. “Oh no, I forgot to tell you. Vincent’s hosting a big party tonight at Champs Le Bar. I’ll be home late, okay?”
“You went to Champs Le Bar without letting me know? Fine, I’ll leave the door unlocked for you.”
After the call, Bianca walked down the hallway, planning to freshen up in the restroom.
Suddenly, she froze in her tracks. A tall, intimidating figure was approaching her-it was Dave. What was he doing here?
Trying to avoid him, she turned and tried to slip away quietly.
But before she could go far, Dave caught up to her and firmly grasped her wrist.
“Bianca?”
She turned back, meeting his gaze. “What are you doing here? Are you following me again?”
After a moment of surprise, Dave quickly understood Bianca’s skepticism. He looked into her eyes and responded, “No, I’m here with my friends.”
“Really? Friends? Where are they then? Call them over. Let’s all meet,” Bianca challenged, eyeing him suspiciously. She had never met any of Dave’s friends and was naturally curious.
Dave hesitated, unsure of how to respond.
With friends like Michael and Brandon, involving them could lead to trouble. He wasn’t sure if he could handle that.
Seeing Dave’s tight-lipped reaction, Bianca sensed he wasn’t telling the truth.
Disappointment flashed in her eyes as she confronted him, “You’re really bad at lying.”
She pulled her wrist from his grasp, turned away, and began to walk off.
Intent to follow her, Dave froze upon hearing Ruby and Vincent’s voices coming from around the corner.
Ruby was here!
