11. Interrogation

Book:CEO's Love In Trap Published:2024-7-20

Max opened the door in a sudden, so the girl near the window gasped.
“This is our target,” the CEO said to a man in a long robe with a toolbox in his right hand.
The man immediately paid close attention to Gabriella. After a few seconds, he nodded quickly.
“Good. Lock the door!”
Max carried out the order without hesitation.
“What are you going to do?” Gabriella asked while pushing her back to the wall as she recognized the threat.
The interrogator placed the toolbox on the table. Once opened, not only Gabriella, but Max also stared at the contents. Various knives and strange tools arranged on several levels. The first thing the robed man took out was a rope.
“What do you want?” Gabriella asked breathlessly.
The man turned his head. His sharp eyes immediately cut the guts of the girl.
“Catch her!”
Max moved to fulfill the order. He walked over to Gabriella, who was shaking her head, asking for mercy.
“No!”
The girl tried to escape. Unfortunately, the CEO managed to grab her waist. A second later, Gabriella started to scratch and kick the air.
“Please don’t!”
As the interrogator approached, her movements grew even crazier. Gabriella had forgotten the bruises and pain on her body. She knew that the greater suffering would come if she didn’t fight back.
“Let me go!” the girl shrieked as Sharp Knife caught her right hand.
As soon as the man tugged the rope on the girl’s wrist, a deafening scream filled the room. Tears fell down instantly, expressing pain.
Unfortunately, the interrogator didn’t care at all. He closed the window tightly, then dragged the girl there. The end of the rope that tied the girl’s hand was knotted to death on the highest grille.
“Why are you doing this? Engh ….”
Gabriella tried to untie the knot with her left hand. After five seconds, that hand was also restrained.
“What do you want? Please … don’t hurt me …. ”
Gabriella pleaded because there was nothing she could do. Her hands were no longer free.
“Hello, Miss. I won’t hurt you if you cooperate.”
Gabriella nodded without thinking. “I will cooperate.”
“Then, tell me who asked you to screw up the Quebracha project and bring down the CEO.”
Gabriella burst into tears. With a flat, disbelieving face, she turned to look at Max.
“Didn’t I tell you? Nobody asked me,” the girl sighed almost in despair. She really couldn’t help thinking about such unfounded suspicions.
“Then, don’t blame me if you’re tormented.”
Sharp Knife stepped back to the toolbox. After shaking his fingers erratically, he drew a small knife from there. Max’s eyes widened.
“Hey, didn’t we agree not to hurt that girl?” the CEO who was secretly hiding a sense of heartbreak whispered.
“I haven’t started yet but you’re already scared before, huh? Take it easy.”
Clenching his jaw, Max stepped aside, making a way for the hired man to get back to his target.
After a single blink, the interrogator had stuck the knife to Gabriella’s cheek. The girl who was sobbing spontaneously closed her eyes and held the breath.
“Now, answer honestly. Who is your boss?”
Gabriella’s sob grew louder.
“What should I do? I really don’t have a boss or that kind of person. The house is a legacy from my parents. That’s why I protect it with all my soul.”
“So, you are willing to sacrifice your life for the house?”
The interrogator lowered the knife down Gabriella’s neck. Then, he tore the girl’s shirt until more bruises were visible. The tip of the knife was placed on the woman’s left chest.
“Do you know, if I stab here, you will lose 40 percent of your blood volume in three to four minutes? And, if it’s more than that… can you guess what the end is?”
Gabriella shook her head at a limited angle. “Please… I really don’t know. I have absolutely no intention of screwing up the project or harming anyone.”
Max’s hands clenched tightly. His heart skipped a beat at the rush of Gabriella’s tears. Even so, he stood still and watched the situation.
A moment later, the interrogator pursed his lips and shook his head mysteriously.
“I was wrong. You’re not afraid to die.”
He switched to his toolbox and returned with a large, knife-edged pincer.
“Do you know what this is? This is a powerful tool used to cut iron. Can you imagine what would happen if I put it on your finger?”
Gabriella trembled with fear. Her knees had lost a lot of strength, but she had to stand up. The noose on his wrist felt like peeling skin if she put more weight.
“I heard, you’re a pianist. What happens to a pianist without fingers?”
Gabriella’s breath was getting shorter. Her face had turned white and was completely wet.
“Please, have mercy on me ….”
“Oh, you must think I’m kidding. Let me prove that this tool can break your finger.”
The interrogator went to retrieve an iron rod from the box and cut it before Gabriella’s eyes.
The girl’s sobs were getting wrapped around her heart. She could no longer speak. What could she do for refusing the torture?
“So, tell me … who was the one controlling your movements?”
Gabriella continued to shake her head wordlessly. Both knees had bent out of strength. She didn’t care anymore about the pain on wrists. Fear had taken over her nerves and brain.
“Do you think this is fake?”
The interrogator cut the two ropes from the window grille. In an instant, Gabriella collapsed onto the floor.
“Look at this poor rope!”
Sharp Knife showed a neat cut in front of the girl. “Do you want your finger to be like this too?”
Gabriella looked down watching her hands, despite the tears blocking the view. She couldn’t imagine a life without fingers to press the piano keys anymore.
“I really don’t know… I’m not lying! Please believe me …. ”
“Too bad, Miss. Your chances are up.”
The interrogator grabbed Gabriella’s right hand and placed her index finger on the end of the clip. The poor girl started screaming.
“Not! Don’t cut my fingers! Nooo!”
Looking at the interrogator about to press the lever, Max panicked too. After a moment of hesitation, he finally got on his knees, trying to stop the interrogator’s torment.
Unfortunately, he was late!
Just before the CEO said no, the tongs had been pressed and made an ear-popping chop. In one second, Gabriella lost consciousness and her body slumped against the floor.
“Nooo!”
Max lifted her to lean on his shoulder.
“Gabriella? Gabriella …?”
While hugging and patting the pale cheek, he waited for a response. Unfortunately, the girl had fallen into a very deep subconscious.
“Why did you do that? Didn’t we agree not to hurt her?” Max protested while raising his eyebrows angrily.
Instead of feeling guilty, the interrogator laughed lightly.
“This is how I work. I take advantage of someone’s threshold of despair to dig up information.”
“But there’s no need to cut a finger!” Max scolded before stroking the poor girl in his arms.
“I’m sorry, Gabriella. I’m sorry,” the CEO regreted through a whisper. His red eyes were also watering with pain.
