“How dare you!”
A male guest slammed the table and pointed at Flynn angrily. “Dare to speak ill of the Eight Extremities School in front of us? Are you tired of living?”
Jada and the others were also extremely displeased with Flynn.
This kid walked in with a calm face, indifferent to honor or disgrace. He sat down leisurely, showing an attitude of indifference and even disregard towards everyone. His calm eyes, disdainful gaze, and contemptuous demeanor made Kendal’s six guests feel ignored by his every move. This was very annoying.
And now, he was speaking ill of the Eight Extremities School, making it unbearable for these usually high-and-mighty people.
Flynn shrugged, unconcerned. Even if he said this at the main headquarters of the Eight Extremities School, Ronald would have to kneel and listen with a smile!
Rose turned to Kendal, her face calm. “The second in command invited me today to help solve Maximo’s problem. Now that he’s not here yet, you’re targeting us first. Do you think this is appropriate?”
Kendal raised her hand slightly and said indifferently to that person, “Kaiden, this man has always been loose-tongued. Why get angry with such a clown? Focus on the matter at hand!”
Kaiden snorted heavily and sat down with a flick of his sleeve. “I can ignore him for now, but after today’s matter is over, I must teach him a lesson! Let’s see if he dares to disrespect the Eight Extremities School again!”
Kendal turned to Rose and said, “We dare to discuss mediation because we have sure-fire means. Since Ms. Sharp doesn’t agree to mediate, I can’t promise anything to Ms. Sharp either. After all, business is about profit, and I have a family to feed.”
Her voice was not loud but very casual.
Rose heard the threat and couldn’t help but find it funny. She had wanted to use Kendal to balance Maximo, not asking for the Eight Extremities School’s bias but hoping they wouldn’t get involved.
Unexpectedly, Kendal only saw her as a cash cow and had no intention of making friends.
Perhaps she never looked up to me!
She hadn’t driven away one wolf before attracting another! It was laughable.
True feelings don’t necessarily beget true feelings.
Facing Kendal’s threat, Flynn felt no ripples in his heart. To him, even if the entire Eight Extremities School came out in full force, it would be like moths flying into a flame.
Kendal was just a clown!
“Mr. Goff is here!”
“Mr. Goff!”
At this moment, exclamations came from outside the hall as Maximo, the head of the Niarak branch of the Eight Extremities School, arrived!
A cold gleam flashed in Kendal’s eyes as she straightened up.
In terms of martial arts, she was no match for Maximo. But in terms of connections, Kendal wasn’t afraid of him; at least in the Niarak branch, most high-level officials supported her.
This was Kendal’s confidence.
She wanted to drive Maximo away from being the head.
And Maximo, an outsider monk, wanted to completely control the Niarak branch and unite people’s hearts.
Therefore, although they appeared harmonious on the surface, they were already incompatible like fire and water behind the scenes.
Maximo was a man in his fifties with a tall and thin build, dragon-like forehead and tiger-like eyes, and sharp facial features as if carved by a knife. He walked with powerful strides like a tiger returning to the forest; he didn’t look like an ordinary person.
Elijah led them into the hall and then sat at a table with several small leaders.
Wearing flip-flops with a cigarette in his mouth and legs crossed, he slouched casually on the chair as if he had no bones in his body.
He stared coldly at Maximo without a trace of respect but full of disdain and murderous intent.
Behind Maximo followed his godson Frederick, the son of the former head who had been beaten twice by Flynn.
Besides Frederick, Mr. Goff also brought over a dozen subordinates.
“Everyone’s here! Sorry for keeping you waiting,” Maximo said indifferently as he walked in and faced Kendal and others.
His words were polite on the surface but carried no hint of apology-only arrogance and condescension.
Without waiting for Kendal to speak, Maximo directly sat on the eastern sofa alone on a six-meter-long sofa while seven or eight people sat opposite him.
Jada snorted softly when she saw that Maximo came alone. So what if he was the head? He was still alone!
Seeing Maximo so casual made Kendal’s eyes flash with killing intent before she smiled:
“Mr. Goff arrived just in time; Ms. Sharp from Energence Pharmaceuticals has also just arrived so we can discuss resolving our conflict.”
Maximo’s gaze fell on Rose; he squinted his eyes coldly:
“Ms. Sharp asked someone to call me here; is it about compensating me?”
A few days ago, his guest Maverick was severely injured by artillery shells; over a hundred elite members were all wounded.
Twenty off-road vehicles worth millions were destroyed.
What annoyed him most was that Blade Special Forces demanded compensation for their bombed vehicles!
After saying this, Maximo’s gaze fell on Flynn again; his voice grew colder:
“If I’m not mistaken, he’s Flynn! The one who hired Blade Special Forces to bomb my vehicles! Truly young and promising!”
Frederick gritted his teeth upon seeing Flynn; he had suffered twice at Flynn’s hands before-almost getting his mouth smashed once-and severely injured another time with an arrow through his hand and leg plus losing one kidney due to falling badly-urinating blood for a week in hospital.
Flynn glanced at Maximo briefly-just enough to see what kind of clown he looked like-then lost interest quickly as he picked up an orange from fruit platter instead.
Maximo placed both hands on sofa arms grandly addressing Rose:
“Ms. Sharp last time I lost thirty-four million I’ll round it down just give me thirty million but Flynn must be handed over!”
After saying this lightly raising right hand index middle fingers making scissor motion one subordinate immediately understood pulled out trimmed cigar lit it using jet lighter handed it over Maximo took puff exhaled thick smoke stared straight at Rose
His current posture resembled movie mob boss combined with Grandmaster aura creating strong oppressive feeling
Rose chuckled coldly “Mr Goff your men blocked road tried taking advantage my secretary we had no choice but fight back legal self-defense yet you demand compensation?”
Maximo sneered contemptuously ignoring Rose’s explanation thumb digging ear raising eyebrow
“So Ms Sharp unwilling pay neither hand over person?”
In his view weak have no right reason he merely needed state number other party should gratefully arrange transfer without delay otherwise their fate would be miserable
He had always done things this way when leading Greenfield branch
“Mr Goff indeed your men went too far that day let’s not mention it anymore forget about it!” Kendal glanced Adrian Dunlap unhurriedly said
“Forget about it? Second-in-command says lightly easy for you since you’re not losing millions!”
“Fine I’ll forget compensate three million deliver Flynn’s head my mansion how about that?” Adrian stared coldly
“In Mr Goff’s eyes my face isn’t worth even three million?”
Hearing this Kendal’s gaze locked directly onto Adrian sparks flying
Adrian sneered crossing legs flicking cigar ash onto high-end sofa then said:
“What if I say it’s not worth?”
Instantly hall fell silent tension rising atmosphere becoming strained ready explode
Elijah smoking nearby table stopped chatting focused intently seemingly awaiting command
At this moment sound cracking sunflower seeds echoed piercing silence drawing everyone’s attention
They saw Flynn leaning back sofa holding fruit platter filled seeds legs crossed casually cracking eating spitting shells naturally without restraint like home
Such simple action drew everyone’s angry glares
In such serious setting high-level members Eight Extremities School Niarak branch present yet he cracked seeds?!
Disrespectful!
Rude!
Insolent!
Adrian’s gaze locked onto Flynn like venomous snake killing intent surging
Grandmaster pressure descended even Kendal others felt oppressed
His subordinates also pressured Flynn
Instantly entire hall turned icy cold winter-like atmosphere
But such unbearable pressure seemed nothing Flynn continued cracking seeds noticing Maximo staring blankly asked “You want some?”
Then he grabbed handful seeds and offered…
