As long as she could perfectly resolve this matter, her position and status in the company would surely rise to a new level. Just thinking about it made her a bit excited.
Of course, if she didn’t handle it well, whether she could keep her current assistant position was another matter.
“Masters, your silence makes me very nervous. Do none of you have a solution to this problem?” Lana asked with an awkward yet polite smile.
Someone cleared their throat, and then a monk in a robe stood up, clasped his hands together, and said, “Amitabha. Expelling evil spirits is the duty of monks. Allow me to say a few words to start the discussion.”
All eyes in the hall turned to the monk, including Leo’s.
Noticing the scars on his head and sensing his level of cultivation, Leo struggled to suppress his urge to laugh.
With someone taking the lead, Lana’s smile returned. She stepped forward respectfully and said, “Master, you are too modest. Please go ahead.”
The monk squinted at everyone and then adopted a serious expression. In a deep voice, he said, “Before entering the sales center, I secretly opened my spiritual eye and observed that the north side of the community is enveloped in bad aura, indicating a place of misfortune.”
Upon hearing this, not only did the masters present react, but Lana’s smile also faded, and she suddenly felt a chill in the hall.
The murder case in the community had not yet been solved, but rumors of evil spirits had already spread widely.
Although Lana didn’t believe in such things, she was still subconsciously afraid. After all, she was a woman who would scream even if a mouse ran in front of her.
In fact, it was Lana who suggested to Mr. Gray to invite someone to exorcise the evil spirits. The purpose was to use the masters’ skills to dispel the rumors so that the villas would sell better and her position could be elevated.
Hearing Edgar Jackson’s words, Lana felt more excited because if Edgar Jackson had identified the problem, he must have a solution.
The other masters nodded in agreement with Edgar’s assessment. A Taoist priest with a long beard responded, “Master Edgar is right. I also used the Taoist True Eye to observe earlier, and indeed, there is a strong presence of yin energy in the north.”
Sitting at the back, Leo crossed his legs and wore a faint smile.
These two old guys were putting on quite a show.
Edgar continued with an enigmatic expression, “Madam, before coming here, I reviewed the layout of Green Hills Estates. I can confirm that it was designed under the guidance of a Feng Shui master.”
“The layout gathers wealth and energy, using mountains and stones as its foundation to create a hidden dragon rising from the abyss. Given time, it will become a treasured Feng Shui site that benefits its residents and their descendants.”
Lana’s eyes sparkled as she listened to Edgar’s words. “Master, your insights are profound. The layout of Green Hills Estates was indeed designed by a Feng Shui master.”
“The Feng Shui master said this place has the potential for a hidden dragon to rise. Naturally, it would take a hundred years for this potential to be realized.”
“Our boss wanted the hidden dragon to rise sooner, so the Feng Shui master suggested using mountains and stones as a foundation to expedite this process and create a prosperous Feng Shui site.”
Lana sighed. “But it’s only been half a year, and we haven’t sold many villas before such incidents occurred. Many clients who paid deposits are now asking for refunds. I hope you masters can help us.”
Edgar smiled slightly, nodded, and sat back down without offering immediate assistance.
Edgar was interesting; he pointed out the presence of bad aura in the community and praised its Feng Shui layout but didn’t mention how to exorcise the evil spirits.
Shouldn’t the script involve Lana leading the masters to the crime scene so they could use their mystical methods to identify and subdue the evil spirits?
Talking about good or bad Feng Shui here was pointless.
Seeing that the masters were not in a hurry, Lana became anxious and focused on Edgar. “Edgar, do you have any solutions for the community’s problems?”
Edgar lowered his eyelids and replied calmly, “A Hidden Dragon’s Den can be transformed into a treasured site through proper modifications, which naturally attracts evil spirits.”
“Based on my observations, the evil spirit is newly formed and weak in power. It’s not much of a threat. I just need to bring my temple’s sacred artifacts to the place where yin energy gathers and use supreme Buddhist methods to suppress and subdue the evil spirit. Then I’ll set up a protective array to solve the problem.”
Hearing this seemingly simple solution made Lana beam with joy.
It seemed inviting this accomplished monk was enough.
Sensing trouble, the other masters couldn’t sit still.
Everyone was here for that million-dollar reward; they couldn’t let the old monk take the lead and leave them with nothing.
“Edgar, please…”
“Wait!” Lana’s words were interrupted by a loud voice as a long-bearded Taoist priest next to Edgar stood up.
The Taoist priest was tall but slender, wearing an elegant orange Taoist robe.
His beard reached his chest, and his eyebrows slightly arched upwards. His entire demeanor was ethereal and carefree; he would undoubtedly attract attention on the street.
Lana looked at the Taoist priest in confusion. “What is it, Master?”
“Are you planning to invite Edgar to perform the ritual?” The priest asked directly.
Lana nodded. “That is my intention.”
“If you sincerely invited everyone here, why single out Edgar? What about the other masters?” The priest’s sharp gaze showed his dissatisfaction.
“This…” Lana felt awkward.
It was her impatience that caused this situation. Except for that young man sitting at the back, everyone here was a master.
With a million-dollar reward on the line, it was already a case of too many wolves for too little meat. If she only invited Edgar, others would surely have objections.
Moreover, with so many masters present, it was like shopping; one should compare before deciding who was the best.
She needed to stay calm and composed!
Edgar opened his eyes slightly and glanced at the Taoist priest beside him. In a deep voice, he said, “Priest Parker, Dragon Spring Temple can handle this matter alone. This lady also intends to cooperate with us. There’s no need for you to worry.”
Priest Parker looked at Edgar and sneered. “Edgar, although Dragon Spring Temple has been renowned for centuries with considerable strength, you underestimate the evil spirit here.”
