Nicklaus’s POV
“Now, get lost out of my sight this very minute.” They rushed out at once, and I was informed that I was needed for the affairs of my pack. I spent hours with them and had no option but to listen to everyone’s new strategy. I was also told the elders were sorry about how they phrased their words in the last meeting about Luna. I skipped that and proceeded with other important matters on the ground. When I finally got a glance at the time, I knew I was damn late for the celebration.
“Okay, everyone, we shall continue tomorrow, but right now, I need all of you to get ready for tonight’s celebration meant for our Moon god, Luna.”
They all left with excitement, and Mateo came to me, saying, “Alpha, we’ve got a little problem.”
“Can’t it wait? I don’t want anything to disturb my queen’s celebration.”
“No, it can’t wait because it’s about her.”
“What did you just say? What do you mean it’s about my wife?”
“I’m sorry, Alpha. Your queen is missing.” He went down on his knees immediately, and I didn’t want to believe him at all.
“You must be joking. How can my wife go missing in my pack? This can never happen. Maybe she’s around, taking a look at beautiful things that might have caught her attention. So, look for her and don’t tell me that nonsense.” I yelled at him, and he rushed out immediately.
“It’s impossible for my mate to go missing. I will mind link with her right now. ‘Gabriella, where are you? We need to get ready for your party,'” I said using the mind link, but it was as if I was talking to myself. I couldn’t hear anything. It was as though she did not exist at all.
I tried again, and I couldn’t feel her at all. “Something is not right, Nicklaus,” Lethal said.
“No way. She’s not dead, right?”
“She’s still alive, but someone is blocking us, so we won’t be able to reach her. We have to find her immediately,” he said, and I dashed out of the office to look for her.
“Mateo, have you found her?”
“No, Alpha, but rest assured we are going to find her by all means,” he said.
“I can’t reach her through mind linking. I am worried. Tell everyone the party is postponed and let it be kept among us alone.”
“Yes, Alpha.”
I decided to check my daughter’s room to see if she was there, but she wasn’t. I saw my daughter sleeping peacefully, and I just had to cover her properly before taking my leave to look for her.
“Gabriella, where are you? I should never have left you all alone today. I blame myself. Please, wherever you are, I am going to find you and save you as usual. That’s a promise I will surely keep.”
We searched the entire place, and still, no sign of her. Now, I am worried.
Gabriella’s POV
I dreamt about meeting my sister.
“Gabriella, is that really you?”
“Yes, sister, it’s me.”
“Oh my goodness, I was so worried about you, and I have missed you so much.” She hugged me, and we both cried in each other’s arms.
“I am sorry I left; I didn’t want to ruin things.”
“That’s all in the past now. I am happy you are here now. I heard the news-you shifted into a wolf. That’s good news; now we can run in the woods together.”
“I knew you would be so happy when you learned of it. What about Father?”
“Father has been regretting everything he did to you, and he has been wishing to see you to make peace.”
“Really?”
“Gabriella!!!”
“Father.” I rushed to him, and we settled our differences, had lunch together, and invited Nicklaus, who came with our daughter. The war issues were put to an end, and we decided to live in peace, not holding grudges against anyone. I woke up from this beautiful dream with a smile on my face. I guess this is a sign that I should go ahead with my plans to see my sister.
I looked at Nicklaus; he was still enjoying his sleep, and not to disturb him, I left him just to check on my daughter.
“Good morning, Mom.”
“Good morning, my precious daughter. Now, time to bathe so we can get ready before your father wakes up.”
“Alright, Mom.” She smiled.
A few moments later, we were done with everything. I couldn’t believe they would prepare a bath for us. I took the comb to comb my daughter’s hair slowly, and I also admired her hair as well.
“My baby is growing fast.”
“Thank you, Mom. Where is Father?”
“He is still sleeping, but when I am through with your hair, I will wake him up to get ready.”
“Okay, Mom, I am so happy that none of us is in trouble anymore, and you both are my heroes.”
I smiled, and Nicklaus hugged me from behind, saying, “Good morning, my love.”
“Good morning, dear,” I replied.
“Daddy, good morning,” Estella said with a smile on her face and hugged him, “Good morning, little one; you look beautiful this morning.”
“Thank you, Daddy. Daddy, can we go home now? I miss my friends already,” she said, and he caressed her hair, saying, “We are going home today.”
“Yes,” she said in excitement. Nicklaus looked at me, and I let out a smile.
The nightwalkers informed us they got us breakfast. I never thought I would be having breakfast here. I thought we would be getting it on our way home. We finally had breakfast before leaving, and I am so happy knowing that I was able to shift fully into a wolf, and my family will be glad to hear about everything. We arrived at the pack, and everyone welcomed us with love and excitement. Nicklaus had a discussion with Mateo, so I had to move straight to my daughter’s room and let them catch up as alpha and beta; I believe he has a lot to say to them. I took Estella to her room, and she saw her friends. With excitement, she hugged them.
“Okay, have fun with your friends and remember to take some time to rest as well.”
“Okay, Mom.”
“Thank you, Luna,” her friends said, and I took my leave.
