Alexander’s POV
As I pulled back, I could see the shock and disbelief in Tyler and Jake’s eyes. They had never expected me to take such a drastic step, to mark Sophia as my own. But I would do whatever it took to ensure her safety and happiness.
“No, damn it!” Tyler and Jake shouted in unison.
Tyler’s voice was filled with anger as he scolded me. “You’ve gone too far, werewolf. This is a violation of everything we stand for.”
Jake nodded in agreement, his expression just as furious. “You’ll regret this.”
But before they could react, before they could make a move against me, Ethan stepped forward, his growl low and menacing. He was a loyal companion, and he would protect me and Sophia at all costs.
“Back off,” Ethan warned, his eyes locked onto Tyler and Jake. “You won’t lay a finger on them.”
As I held Sophia in my arms, her body marked with my claim, I couldn’t help but feel a surge of pride and possessiveness. She was mine, now and forever, and I was determined to protect her at all costs.
I looked over at Tyler and Jake, their expressions a mixture of sadness, frustration, and anger. They had come here with the intention of taking Sophia away from me, but they hadn’t counted on the bond that now existed between us, one that was unbreakable.
I wore a smirk on my lips, my gaze unapologetic as I met their eyes. It was a victorious moment for me, and I reveled in it.
“Goodbye, Tyler, Jake,” I said, my voice filled with satisfaction. “Thank you for taking care of my wife during this time.”
Tyler’s face contorted with anger, and he spat out, “You may have marked her, but that doesn’t mean we’ll stop trying to protect her.”
Jake nodded in agreement, his expression just as determined. “We’ll find a way to keep her safe, even from you.”
I couldn’t help but chuckle, the sound filled with arrogance. “You can try, but you won’t succeed. She’s mine, and I’ll do whatever it takes to ensure her happiness and safety.”
With that, I turned and walked away, Sophia in my arms. As we left the villa behind, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of triumph. Love had prevailed, and I had marked her as my mate. No one could come between us now, and I was determined to protect what was rightfully mine.
Sophia’s POV
As Alexander’s fangs sank into my skin, I felt an unusual sensation wash over me. It was as if a warm current was spreading from my neck throughout my entire body. My heart raced, and a mix of physiological and psychological changes overwhelmed me. I couldn’t help but exclaim in surprise, the sensation unlike anything I had ever experienced.
Then, I heard Tyler and Jake’s voices, filled with panic and anger. It was the first time I had seen them in such a state, and it left me utterly confused. I didn’t want to see them hurt, even though I had made my choice to be with Alexander.
Alexander held me close, his arms wrapping around me gently. He wore a sly smile on his lips as he spoke, his voice filled with pride. “Don’t be afraid. I’m marking you. Now, you belong to me completely, my mate.”
I nodded in a daze, my mind still reeling from the unusual transformation I was undergoing. It was a strange feeling, one that left me both bewildered and strangely content. I could sense Alexander’s possessiveness in his tone, as if he were showing me off to the world.
Tyler and Jake’s anger and frustration only grew as they continued to insult Alexander. I watched as their faces contorted with rage, their voices filled with venom. But the warmth that had spread throughout my body was making it increasingly difficult to focus on their words.
My consciousness began to fade, and I felt myself growing weak in Alexander’s arms. He picked me up gently, his voice filled with a mixture of apology and tenderness. “I’m sorry,” he said, his words a whisper in my ear. “I should have waited until you were ready.”
I couldn’t find the strength to respond, my body growing heavy as I nestled against him. It was as if a fog had descended over my mind, clouding my thoughts and leaving me in a state of blissful surrender.
With a provocative tone, Alexander bid farewell to Tyler and Jake, thanking them for taking care of his “wife” during this time. I could sense the anger radiating from the two hunters, their faces flushed with fury.
Tyler spat out, “You’ve won this round, werewolf, but don’t think for a second that we’ll give up.”
Jake nodded in agreement, his voice filled with determination. “We’ll find a way to protect her, no matter what.”
Alexander’s smirk only grew wider as he looked down at me, his pride in his possession evident. “We’ll be waiting.”
As we left the villa, my body still tingling with the warmth of Alexander’s mark, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of contentment. I had made my choice, and I was willing to stand by it, no matter the challenges that lay ahead.
Love had brought us together, and it would be our strength as we faced the uncertain future. Alexander had marked me as his mate, and I was proud to belong to him completely.
