“You will accompany whoever I tell you to! You have no choice!” Zachary angrily interrupted the other party and then hung up the phone with a snap.
“Xavier, I don’t want that woman anymore! Just wait, this isn’t over between us.”
After saying that, Zachary turned and walked out, slamming the door behind him.
Leo was somewhat surprised, not expecting Zachary to have such backbone.
Leo checked the time and said he had something to do, then got up to leave.
Xavier quickly stood up to see him off.
Outside the club, Xavier couldn’t help but ask curiously, “Leon, did you do something to me just now? How come I drank so much and didn’t get drunk?”
“Smart guess.” Leo smiled, took out a small medicine bottle from his pocket, and handed it to Xavier. “Here, take it. Just one pill, and you’ll never get drunk no matter how much you drink.”
“Ah… you’re giving this to me?” Xavier looked at Leo in shock.
To him, this was a magical drug, a tool for showing off and picking up girls!
He didn’t expect Leo to give it to him so easily, making him feel deeply moved.
“That’s what brothers are for.” Leo smiled and patted the back of his head.
Xavier was so touched he almost cried. He carefully put the medicine bottle into his pocket.
“Leon, I wish you were really my second uncle’s son. You don’t know, my grandmother hasn’t eaten much since she got the test results that day. She keeps murmuring your name and has lost a lot of weight.”
“Really?” Leo was slightly stunned, thinking of the kind Old Mrs. Bloomer, and felt a pang of sadness.
“Yeah, I can’t bear to see her like this. The people who treat me best in our family are my grandma and Uncle Jackson. Can you find time to visit my grandma?” Xavier grabbed Leo’s hand.
Leo smiled and said, “I better not. Your Uncle Jason doesn’t want me to stay in the capital.”
“Who cares what he says? Is the capital his?” Xavier couldn’t help but shout.
Then he cautiously looked around and shrank his neck, obviously still afraid of his uncle.
“By the way, you said your Uncle Jackson treats you well? What kind of person is he? Can you tell me about him?” Leo asked curiously when he heard Xavier mention Jackson Bloomer.
Leo had met most of the Bloomer family members but had never seen the second master of the Bloomer family. He knew very little about him and was naturally curious.
“My Uncle Jackson is amazing!” Xavier became excited when talking about his Uncle Jackson. “He was unbeatable in school, always coming first in every exam!”
“He joined the military academy and the army, and it was the same! No one could surpass him! Always number one!” Xavier said excitedly, giving a thumbs-up.
“Really? Is he that incredible?”
“No exaggeration. He became a major general at thirty-eight. Besides those conferred after the founding of the country, you probably haven’t heard of anyone so young being made a major general.”
Xavier suddenly lowered his head and continued mysteriously, “Have you heard of the Flying Dragon Corps in Atraria?”
Flying Dragon Corps?
Leo’s heart skipped a beat. Wasn’t Chasel Gold from the Flying Dragon Corps?
Although Leo knew about it, he still shook his head.
“The Flying Dragon Corps is an elite special forces unit in Atraria. It’s not publicly known, so it’s normal if you haven’t heard of it.” Xavier said proudly. “My Uncle Jackson is the head of the Flying Dragon Corps!”
The second master of the Bloomer family actually commanded the Flying Dragon Corps. This information truly surprised Leo.
No wonder the Bloomer family was the top aristocratic family in the capital.
“Leon, will you visit my grandma?” Xavier suddenly asked weakly.
Leo thought for a moment and replied, “I will, but not now. I have things to handle and need to return to Langstel.”
“Ah, you’re going back to Langstel!?” Xavier was very surprised and reluctant. “Leon, when will you come back to the capital?”
“I’ll come after handling my affairs. That’s it for now. You go back and have fun; I’m heading back to the hotel.” Leo waved his hand.
“Leon, let me see you off!”
“No need.”
“Take care, Leon!”
Back at the hotel, Leo took a shower and then sat cross-legged on the bed to meditate.
In the suburbs of Langstel City, nestled by mountains and water, there was a Japanese-style wooden villa. The villa had wooden floors and an elegant environment. In front of the villa was a courtyard with a large ice cherry blossom tree.
The ice cherry blossom tree stood tall, its branches full of pink blossoms.
A gentle breeze blew, causing petals to fall and cover the grass.
Inside the wooden house, two people were kneeling opposite each other.
On the small wooden table between them were two cups of fragrant tea, with steam curling upwards.
“Lord Byron, these ice cherry blossoms from Atraria are no worse than our Orientia cherry blossoms. The blossoms are not only beautiful but also edible,” Maniwa said as she gazed at the ice cherry blossom tree in the courtyard.
Kneeling opposite Maniwa was Byron, one of the powerful Earth Ninjas of the Koken family.
Byron was somewhat small in stature, wore wooden clogs on his feet, had a bald head with short hair on both sides, and his small eyes occasionally flashed with sharp light. He wore a samurai kimono reminiscent of an Edo-period warrior from Orientia.
Byron nodded slightly, his small eyes narrowing as he glanced at the gently falling pink petals. One hand unconsciously rested on the hilt of his katana.
Byron drew his katana and slashed at a petal slowly drifting in front of him.
In a flash of blade light, the petal was sliced into eight pieces, which then neatly arranged themselves on Byron’s blade.
Byron flicked his sword, causing four pieces to fall into Maniwa’s teacup and four into his own.
The petals quickly sank into the warm water in their cups, releasing a delicate fragrance.
“Miss Maniwa, try this tea made with these petals,” Byron said as he lifted his cup.
Maniwa nodded and took a gentle sip.
Sunlight leisurely fell on them, creating a peaceful scene.
“The taste is good. But Lord Byron, we won’t have many peaceful days like this in Langstel City,” Maniwa said with a slight frown and a glint in her eyes.
“Indeed. That Atrarian boy is truly reckless. First, he provoked our Koken family, and then he even killed ninjas from the Hojo Clan,” Byron’s small eyes flashed with cold light.
“Now besides our Koken family, both the Tanner family and Mason family have gathered in Langstel City,” Maniwa said as she looked at the ice cherry blossom tree with a slightly worried expression.
The arrival of these three major families was certainly not good news for the Koken family.
