Chapter 402: Simple Warmth

“Alright, alright!” Patrick said impatiently, “I’ll call some people to help.”
“Get lost, I have other things to handle.”
“Yes, yes, brother-in-law!” Pierce grinned and walked out.
He knew his brother-in-law had a tough exterior but a soft heart. Even though he didn’t think much of him, if he ever got into trouble, his brother-in-law would be the first to help.
Meanwhile, Quentin returned to Charlotte’s rented apartment with plenty of good food and drinks.
Rashad Pittman was the first to greet him. “Quentin, why did you bring so many good things today?”
“Just came to see the kids. Besides, your home is my home. How could I come empty-handed?” Quentin laughed.
Emery Pittman nodded slightly upon seeing Quentin. “Quentin, you’re here? Have a seat.”
Emma didn’t give Quentin a warm welcome but wasn’t as harsh as before. She simply pretended not to see him.
Quentin was used to it. He believed that sincerity could move mountains. Sooner or later, Emma would accept him. After all, it was because of him that her family had suffered for years. Her resentment was understandable.
Considering she was his mother-in-law, he had to be more tolerant.
“Daddy-”
Two little kids rushed over and hugged Quentin’s legs.
Quentin felt his heart melt. This feeling was new to him. Becoming a father made him understand the irreplaceable bond of blood.
He kissed both children on their cheeks.
Charlotte walked out of the kitchen and gave him a look. “Aren’t you going to help?”
Quentin chuckled and went into the kitchen to lend a hand.
The warmth of family filled the air.
Charlotte said, “Riya’s condition has improved a lot these past few days, and the Edwards family’s threat has been removed. She took Aubree back.”
“Yes,” Quentin replied. “Her life is back on track now.”
Charlotte sighed. “Riya has had a tough life, raising a child alone is not easy.”
Having gone through similar experiences, she deeply sympathized with Riya and felt for her. This was why they became close friends.
“By the way, we got the Heavenly Fragrance Collection, but it’s not useful right now.”
“And I heard the Edwards family went bankrupt. Time Group is going up for auction in a few days.”
“The starting price is over a billion dollars; we won’t get a chance to participate.”
“No opportunity at all.”
She sighed again.
“Many people are eyeing this big piece of meat. Although Time Group’s stock market value has plummeted, its physical assets are still strong.”
“The original team and powerful production lines are intact, and all departments are well-established. Its market value should be around seven to eight billion dollars.”
“This time, the Edwards family is really in trouble, targeted by those big companies. Otherwise, Riya’s issue wouldn’t have been resolved so easily.”
Quentin smiled. “Don’t worry. You hold the key to a treasure trove in the beauty industry. It’s incredibly valuable.”
“Honestly, if people knew you had this, they’d fight over it. So we just need to wait for the right opportunity.”
“Even if someone buys Time Group, we can still get a piece of the pie.”
“After all, they aim for profit, and we can make them rich!”
“Cooperation is a win-win!”
“Let’s attend the auction tomorrow. We might get an unexpected gain.”
“Alright,” Charlotte said, feeling a bit tempted by Quentin’s words.
After dinner, Quentin placed a set of keys on the table. “These are the keys to Mr. Rogers’ villa. You can move in whenever you want.”
