“The third young master of the Bloomer family? Xavier Bloomer?” Joshua’s face changed, and he smiled bitterly. “Mr. Bloomer, weren’t you asking about the Bloomer family? Coincidentally, the third young master of the Bloomer family is here.”
“Is this the Bloomer family you mentioned among the three major aristocratic families?”
“Xavier Bloomer is the son of the third master of the Bloomer family.” Joshua shook his head with a wry smile and stood up. “He’s quite a troublemaker.”
“Sir, could we get a table by the railing for the two of us?” Leo asked the manager.
“Of course.” The manager nodded quickly and instructed someone to set up a table by the railing.
Seeing this, the manager realized it was a good idea and had several more tables set up along the railing, providing seating for guests who couldn’t get a table, making Leo and Joshua’s presence less conspicuous.
“Mr. Joshua, from what you said earlier, it seems you know something about Xavier Bloomer?”
“I don’t know much about the core members of big families, but I’ve heard plenty of gossip about these third-generation playboys. Anyone who frequents bars knows them.”
“Xavier Bloomer is one of the famous playboys, but unlike Baldwin Meredith, he’s notorious for being a wastrel.”
“This kid learned some martial arts from someone when he was young and got into fights frequently. His father sent him to the army for two years to straighten him out, but it didn’t work.”
“Once, he had a conflict with their deputy company commander and broke three of his ribs. His father brought him back and locked him up for a month, then gave up on trying to control him as long as he didn’t cause too much trouble.”
Joshua added some ice to Leo’s drink and continued, “But that deputy commander benefited from it. He got promoted to company commander and deputy battalion commander because of those three broken ribs!”
Soon, a group of young men walked over. They were all in their early twenties and had an arrogant swagger.
They sat down at the booth Leo and Joshua had just vacated.
“Damn, playing ball wore me out,” said the young man in the middle as he tossed his leather jacket aside and picked up a drink menu.
The young man had delicate features and slicked-back hair, seemingly trying to look more mature.
“Is that Xavier Bloomer?” Leo pointed at the young man.
“Mr. Bloomer, keep your voice down,” Joshua quickly reminded. “We can’t afford to mess with him; many playboys in the capital are afraid of him.”
A faint smile appeared on Leo’s lips.
Soon, a sexy woman in a black tank top and shorts jumped onto the stage in the middle of the second floor.
The music suddenly exploded, and she began dancing provocatively to the beat.
As Leo looked down at her dance, a peanut flew towards him.
Without looking, Leo extended his right hand and caught it mid-air.
Another peanut flew over, but this time it wasn’t aimed at Leo and bounced off the table.
Leo turned to see Xavier Bloomer and his group looking at him with tilted heads.
Xavier Bloomer held a handful of peanuts and waved impatiently at Leo to move aside as he was blocking his view of the performance.
Leo ignored him and continued watching the performance.
Seeing Leo disregard him, Xavier Bloomer frowned and threw a handful of peanuts.
Just then, a beautiful figure passed by, and the peanuts hit her.
“Ah!”
The woman screamed in fright and glared angrily at Xavier Bloomer.
When Xavier saw her face, his eyes lit up. He quickly pointed at Leo and explained, “I was aiming at him!”
The woman turned around and locked eyes with Leo. She was shocked. “It’s you!?”
Leo was also taken aback. “It’s you?”
It was quite a coincidence; she was the first-class flight attendant Leo had met while traveling abroad with Sophia Henley after saving an old lady.
“Mr. Bloomer, I didn’t expect to see you here,” she smiled at Leo. “I don’t even know your name yet. Let’s get acquainted; I’m Serena Pruitt.”
She extended her right hand to Leo.
“I’m Leo Bloomer,” he said, shaking her hand.
“Do you mind if I sit here for a while?” Serena asked politely.
“Of course,” Joshua quickly brought over a chair before Leo could respond.
No wonder Leo didn’t want those models; with such an elegant beauty here, who would care about second-rate models?
Serena wore casual clothes-a white sweater paired with tight jeans-and her long hair fell gracefully to one side. She exuded charm and elegance.
“Serena, what are you doing here?” Leo asked curiously.
“I no longer fly international routes. Now I only fly between Langstel and the capital. Since I have a day off tomorrow, my colleagues brought me here to have fun. I didn’t expect to run into you.”
Serena couldn’t help but admit that sometimes fate worked in mysterious ways.
“Damn it, good girls always end up with losers,” Xavier muttered unhappily as he saw Serena sit next to Leo. He had been smitten by her earlier.
“Xavier Bloomer, do you like that girl? I’ll bring her over for you,” said a buzz-cut guy next to Xavier. He then walked over to Serena.
He leaned on the table and said to Serena, “Hey beautiful, why don’t you come over to our table for a drink?”
“No thanks, I’m fine here with my friend,” Serena replied apologetically.
“Do you know who’s sitting at our table? It’s Xavier Bloomer!” The buzz-cut guy proudly pointed back with his thumb. “The third young master of the Bloomer family!”
“So what? She doesn’t want to go; can’t you understand plain language?” Leo said impatiently.
He was already annoyed when Xavier threw peanuts at him earlier.
“Mr. Bloomer,” Joshua’s face turned pale with fear as he tried to calm Leo down.
“You little punk! How dare you insult the third young master? You think you’re tough?” The buzz-cut guy swung his hand for a slap.
But before he could touch Leo’s face, Leo grabbed his hand firmly.
With a twist, the buzz-cut guy screamed in pain. “Ouch! Let go of me!”
Leo smirked and pushed him lightly, causing him to fall back onto their table, knocking bottles onto the floor where they shattered.
“Damn it! Get him!” Xavier shouted angrily, with a hint of excitement in his voice.
It had been a long time since anyone dared to be so disrespectful to him; he was eager for some action.
