He was sitting on his bed when Audrey walked passed him without sparing him a glance.

But she didn’t care, she was all about the situation at hand and not the unknown future.
She sighed when she felt his breathing become steady, he had fallen asleep.
Audrey woke up but didn’t open her eyes. She felt Alpha Lake’s strong arm around her waist and she could feel him staring at her face.
“You can stop pretending, open your eyes,” Alpha Lake’s morning voice was deeper than the ocean, it had Audrey thinking bad things early in the morning.
“Good morning, Sir,” Audrey finally opened her eyes and was met with dark gray orbs that were very close to her face.
He looked sexy even after just waking up from sleep, she wanted to run her hands through his messy bed hair, but she refrained.

But she suddenly paused and raised her face toward the dining. She just noticed she wasn’t the only one in the house with Alpha Lake.
Audrey just shrugged at Alpha Lake and walked into the kitchen to make some breakfast.
She was also avoiding the trouble-candidate who was sitting in the living room.
Alpha Lake clenched his fists and walked over to Adeline. The faster he attended to her, the faster she left.
“Um, I’m sorry, Alpha, but, um, can I ask what Catherine is doing in your house?” Adeline asked cautiously.
“No, Adeline, you can’t. Now, let’s see the blueprint,” He replied coldly.
Adeline felt stung, this was the first time Alpha Lake has ever sounded so cold toward her, and it was all because of that bitch in the kitchen.
“I’m sorry for crossing the line, I was just concerned because she’s just a lowly human who isn’t worthy of your company, she might be trying to seduce you, Alpha ” Adeline spoke with a concern-laced voice.
Alpha Lake chuckled lightly because he knew the reverse was the case.

But he knew Adeline’s thought process would be the same as everyone else’s if he decided to take Audrey as his mate.
He sighed, “The blueprints, Adeline,” He said seriously.
Adeline secretly clenched her fists and spread the blueprint on the table.
Audrey was in the kitchen hearing all their discussions.
She noticed that Alpha Lake always spoke softly to Adeline even when she was crossing the line, she thought; maybe Andrew was wrong, maybe they did share a mutual feeling of love between them, if not, why would he be so tolerant towards her?
She finished her Thai fried rice with fried eggs and carried two plates out to the dining.
“So, the window will face the forests, for the view and ventilation,” Adeline was pointing out something to him on the blueprint.
