When Rosiley woke up again, Sachin was sitting by her bed, holding her hand.
Seeing that she had opened her eyes, he quickly got up and caressed her face. He asked gently, “How are you feeling? Do you feel uncomfortable anywhere?”
Rosiley’s mind went blank for a few seconds. She recalled that she had been injured by Rorey and should be in the hospital now.
She tried to feel her body and it ached terribly.
“Am I badly injured?” she opened her mouth and asked. However, her voice was so hoarse that it sounded awful.
Sachin nodded. “You got quite a few scratches on your limbs and a slight concussion.”
“No wonder my head hurts so much.”
She sat up slowly in bed. She stretched the wound on her leg while doing so, causing her to gasp slightly. The pain caused her face to turn pale.
Sachin quickly helped her up with extreme gentleness. “Do you want me to get the doctor?”
She shook her head and said determinedly, “No need, I’m fine.”
At that moment, Corey walked in. Hearing this, he could not help frowning. “You’ve already lost so much blood and you still say that you’re fine? Don’t you know how worried Big Brother was when he found you?”
It was the first time he had seen Sachin in such a panicked state!
Rosiley looked at him apologetically. “Sorry for making you worried.”
“It’s okay, as long as you’re fine.”
Sachin heaved a sigh of relief and gently pulled her into his embrace. He hugged her like he were protecting a treasure.
Rosiley leaned against him greedily, inhaling the scent that belonged to him alone. She basked in the enjoyment of the peacefulness that he provided, and she was completely reluctant to let him go.
He lowered his head and gently planted a kiss on her hair. However, his eyes were looking at Corey, who was standing behind her, as if asking him a question.
Corey nodded and his gaze also became a little ghastly.
That person who dared to harm her was going to die!
After lying in Sachin’s embrace for a while, she felt a little tired. She gently closed her eyes and the scene of the instant before she passed out came into her mind.
Back then, she panicked and was afraid that she would die. In fact, she was afraid that she would never get to see him again.
She was very flustered, so she gave him a call.
She said, “Sachin, I got knocked down by a car.”
He said, “Are you okay? Wait for me there and I’ll come over immediately.”
Ever since her mother passed, there was no one else who cared for her and loved her so much.
Not her father, not Yunis… only Sachin.
Suddenly, tears started raining down her cheeks. She snuggled her head into his embrace, and she started crying so intensely that her body trembled.
Sachin thought that she was still scared and patted her back to comfort her. “No need to be scared. I’m here. It’s fine now. Be good. Stop crying…”
His gentleness caused everyone to be in shock, yet he allowed her to rub her runny nose and dry her tears on his body.
After an unknown period of time, Rosiley finally finished crying and crawled out of his embrace.
Corey could not help muttering, “Everyone says that women are made of water, and I finally saw it for myself today. Come, sister, you must be hungry. Eat something first and then you’ll have enough energy to continue crying.” Being the bubbly figure that he was, Corey placed the food he just bought onto the table and told her sarcastically.
Rosiley sniffed. “This is the first time I’ve been so badly injured and I might even have a scar, yet you still don’t let me cry? Are you a human?”
As Sachin gave his brother a glance, it was as cold as the falling snow in cold winter.
