Alpha Ricardo’s POV
” What did you say?” Jennifer asked with stunned eyes, but I didn’t give her a reply, rather I walked away, and she didn’t dare to stop me.
I made my way to where uncle Stephen was seated, having a discussion with some gammas. ” Are you okay?” He asked while getting up on his feet. ” Can we go somewhere quiet, I have something to discuss with you?” I asked and uncle responded with a nod.
We made our way out of the sitting room and arrived at the garden. ” What is wrong?” He asked while sitting on the long bench. I inhaled deeply and sat beside him. ”You are worried about her?” He expressed those words not as a question. ”I’m thinking of sending her away, maybe back to her maternal home, I believe she has relatives there.” I grumbled to uncle’s hearing, but he did not say a word against it, but I knew his silence meant he was against it.
”Say something.” I pleaded, ”What do you want me to say, it seems you’ve already made your decision.” Uncle Stephen said while standing to his feet. ”In as much as you dislike her mother, you should also know she is your half sister, don’t treat her in a way you won’t treat your sister.” He advised and tapped me on the shoulder. ” I’m going inside.” He flashed an assuring smile to me and left me at the garden.
”I’m against this decision.” Eric advised,
”Not your decision to make.” I responded with a groan and stood to my feet. I made my way back to the sitting room and was almost at the door when I saw Mia talking to Jayson. At first, they didn’t notice my presence and just when I was about to make my presence known to them, I saw Jayson bring forth his hand and tuck her hair behind her ears. ”Mine!” That single act of his, made my wolf jealous.
”I’ll talk to Rick about it.” I overheard him assuring her while she nodded her head and noticed my presence. The moment she met eyes with me, I saw fear, anger, and hate for me in her eyes, but she quickly looked away. ”I’ll be in my room.” She told Jayson and walked away.
I walked up to Jayson and gave him a curious look as I wondered what he was discussing with Mia.
”You went too far, man.” Jayson grumbled with a frown. ” What did she ask from you?” I asked, ignoring his words. ”I see no need of telling you.” He uttered angrily and walked away from me.
I stood there and watched him walk away. It was obvious he was angry with me. Sighing heavily, I entered the sitting room and saw everyone celebrating my coronation, but I wasn’t happy. This was never the way I imagined it to be.
”I wish I could just disappear from this place.” I murmured to myself, and surprisingly, I saw myself inside my room. ”What…” I stuttered, stunned, as I stared around my room. ”How did this happen?” I blurted out, shocked. ”Congratulations, you’ve been gifted with the gift of teleporting.” My wolf announced to me.
”Wow!” Was all I could say. I never knew I could have another ability, since I already have the gift of moving metals and unleashing fire. ”You are just a lucky bastard.” My wolf grumbled, while I responded with a scoff.
”Let’s see. I want to be in the sitting room…” Those words did not leave my lips when I saw myself back in the sitting room beside Jayson. ”Wha…” Jayson muttered in shock.
”My coronation came with a gift.” I announced. ” Woah, everyone listen, Alpha Ricardo’s coronation came with the ability to teleport.” Jayson announced to everyone.
I heard joyful exclaims at the announcement of my new ability. ”Congratulations Alpha Ricardo.” Dad’s beta congratulated me with a handshake. ”You now have three abilities, this is rare, I believed your father would be really proud of you.” He said proudly with a smile, while I just nodded my head and looked away.
I moved my gaze around and met gaze with everyone, who lowered their heads and flashed me a smile. I moved my gaze to the stairs and saw Mia taking the stairs back to her room. Seeing her leaving while everyone was celebrating my new gift brought a different type of feeling in my chest which I couldn’t explain.
”Congrats my boy.” Uncle Stephen tapped me on the shoulder with a proud smile. ” I need to go back to my room.” I spoke tiredly, while uncle responded with a nod.
”Back to my room.” I whispered to myself and like a blink of an eye I arrived in a room which wasn’t mine but rather Mia’s.
”What are you doing here?” She asked the moment she noticed my presence. I ignored her and grumbled at myself for arriving here instead of my room.
Just when I was about to teleport away, her words stopped me. ”I’m leaving.” She announced. I heard her loud and clear but didn’t know what to say, this was what I wanted to tell her but hearing it from her wasn’t what I expected. ”I made contact with my mother’s sister, she is willing to take me into her home.” I heard her but didn’t say a word.
Silence filled the whole place as we both did not say a word until she spoke up, ” I’ll be leaving tomorrow…” ” You are not going.” Those words slipped out of my lips. ”What?” She asked with raised eyebrows. ”You heard me right, you are not leaving.” I declared firmly.
”Why?” She asked as she took a few steps towards me. ”What do you want from me?” She spoke in pain and anger. Angrily, I took a step forward to her that we were just an inch apart.
”You think you can escape from me?” I asked while she stared at me with a confused look. ”This is your father’s house and here you will be until…” I paused and thought of what to say. I wanted to say until she finds her mate, but then I realized it was not possible.
”Until I find my mate, or you eventually kill me?” She asked with raised eyebrows, but I didn’t say a word. Silence filled the whole room as none of us said a word until she spoke up, ”Please leave.” She demanded and walked over to the window. I stood there and didn’t know what to say or do. I stared at her and saw that she was backing me and staring outside the window with folded arms.
”Just leave.” My wolf advised, and I did as he said. I appeared in my room and tiredly collapsed on the couch. A knock came on the door, and before I could respond to it, uncle Stephen opened the door and stepped in. He closed the door behind him and walked up to me. ”Are you okay?” He asked, ” Yeah.” I responded with a nod.
He sat beside me and joined me in staring at the portrait of Mother which was hung on the wall. ”She would be really happy if she was here.” His words tore my heart into pieces, but I didn’t say a word. ” You will have to move into your father’s room.” He said, while moving his gaze around. ” And I will be leaving tomorrow.” He announced while a heavy sigh escaped my lips. ”You can come see me whenever you wish now that you have the gift to teleport.” He assured me with a soft tap on the shoulder and stood to his feet.
”You are now an Alpha, so many things will change in your life, you might not be friendly as you used to be, you will have to put a serious look on your face whenever you are before your subjects, you can’t show them pain or weakness.” He advised, while I just listened. ”If You can’t bear seeing her, then it’s good you send her away…” ” I’m not sending her away.” I cut in and saw no reaction on uncle Stephen’s face. ” Good for you.” He said with a weak smile and moved closer to me. ”I know you will make an outstanding Alpha someday.” He placed a kiss on my forehead, flickered a smile to me and left the room.
With a bitter scoff, I sat on the bed and fixed my gaze on the portrait of mother. ”I wished I could be that good boy you wanted me to be, but unfortunately, I can’t.”
