Christine extended a hand. “Give me the coin, I’ll toss it.”
Leo handed her the coin.
Christine took the coin, placed the box on Altar Heights, shook the coin in both hands, and then released it. The coin fell onto Altar Heights.
Leo kept his focus on her to ensure she didn’t cheat.
Tails!
“My turn,” Leo said, extending his hand.
“I’ll do it again.”
“…” Leo.
Christine shook the coin vigorously with both hands and then released it.
Heads!
“Hahaha…” Leo couldn’t help but laugh.
Seeing the coin on Altar Heights, Christine was visibly displeased.
This time she didn’t cheat, glaring at Leo. “The box is yours.”
By Dragon Well Locks.
“Princess, they should be coming out soon. We should leave,” said the black fox.
“Harper, do you think it’s reliable to find him?” asked the little girl.
The black fox replied, “Given that they entered Dragon Well Locks and my observations over this period, it’s worth a try.”
“Alright, let’s go.” The little girl waved her hand, and both she and the fox disappeared into the night.
Five or six minutes later, Leo and Christine climbed out of Dragon Well Locks.
The rotating stone staircase in the stone chamber led directly to the wellhead; it was indeed difficult to get in but easy to get out.
After Leo covered the wellhead with the copper lid, Christine glanced at him and said, “Goodbye.”
Watching Christine’s departing figure, Leo noticed her figure seemed fuller than Arlene Dan’s.
Her swaying walk was graceful and enchanting.
As Christine was about to disappear into the darkness, Leo hurriedly called out, “Wait!”
“What do you want?” Christine asked without turning her head, her tone indifferent.
“How did you get to Submerged Dragon Park?”
“By car.”
“Can I hitch a ride?”
“Two hundred dollars.”
“Why don’t you just rob me?”
“Take it or leave it.”
“Fine, you win!”
After paying two hundred dollars for the ride and experiencing a female driver’s driving, Leo returned to the clinic.
The next morning, while enjoying a delicious breakfast made by Sakura and Sarah Hicks, Leo received a phone call.
The call was from the elder guarding Seven Stars Sword Sect.
Could it be that the Rossetti family had attacked Seven Stars Sword Sect?
Leo answered the call. It wasn’t the Rossetti family but someone from the Coleman family.
After hanging up, Leo quickly finished his breakfast and drove to Seven Stars Sword Sect.
At Seven Stars Sword Sect’s reception hall, Leo met Meigetsu from the Coleman family.
“Leo, sorry to bother you,” Meigetsu said politely.
“What brings you to Seven Stars Sword Sect?” Leo asked directly.
Meigetsu glanced at Serene, Ocean Source, and others.
“Leo, we will take our leave…” Serene and others understood Meigetsu’s intention immediately.
Leo waved his hand. “Meigetsu can speak freely; they won’t divulge a word.”
Meigetsu nodded and didn’t insist on Serene and others leaving.
“Leo, I’m here about Violet,” Meigetsu said gravely.
“Violet? What happened to her?” Leo asked in surprise.
“In our clan, there’s an ancient sacred place. Because of this place, our Coleman family members have been able to cultivate much faster.”
“However, this sacred place is peculiar. There’s a formation around it that no one can enter.”
“Ten years ago, Violet went to play at the sacred place and could unexpectedly enter it.”
“Violet became the only person in a thousand years who could enter the sacred place.”
Meigetsu’s words stirred something in Leo’s heart. He remembered Violet mentioning that her clan often made her cultivate in a very hot place. Could it be related to this sacred place?
Meigetsu continued, “Usually, Violet could come and go freely from the sacred place. She would be inside for a few hours or, at most, a few days.”
“Half a month ago, Violet entered the sacred place again and hasn’t come out since. The clan is very worried but helpless.”
Meigetsu’s tone was heavy. Even the clan leader couldn’t enter the sacred place, so they had no way of knowing Violet’s situation inside.
Leo’s heart sank. So after leaving Seven Stars Sword Sect, Violet entered that sacred place and hasn’t come out yet.
“I remembered that you practice Daoist Spells and might know something about formations. So I wanted to ask you to take a look at the sacred place,” Meigetsu explained her purpose.
Leo didn’t hesitate. “Alright, I’ll go with you.”
When it came to Violet, Leo wouldn’t stand by idly.
Seeing Leo agree, Meigetsu’s serious eyes brightened with relief.
“Thank you, Leo. Regardless of the outcome, our Coleman family owes you a favor.”
“No need. I’m going because I’m worried about Violet’s safety, not for your family’s favor,” Leo said dismissively.
Although the Coleman family was a top force in the Cultivation Martial World, Leo didn’t care about their favor.
Meigetsu nodded slowly, looking at Leo with softened eyes. Violet had made a good friend this time.
“We should go now,” Leo said as he walked out but then stopped after a few steps.
Leo suddenly thought that if he were away for too long and the Rossetti family or True Martial Sect attacked, what would happen?
“What’s wrong, Leo?” Meigetsu asked.
“Nothing. I’ve made some enemies and need to make some arrangements,” Leo said as he looked at Serene. “Serene, come with me.”
In a room next to the reception hall, Leo summoned Bronze General and told Serene, “If the Rossetti family comes for revenge, you can command this Bronze General to act. I’ll be back as soon as possible.”
“Alright, Leo,” Serene nodded.
After instructing Bronze General to follow Serene’s orders, Leo and Serene left the room.
“Leo, this is our Coleman Token. In the Cultivation Martial World, few forces dare to oppose us.”
“If enemies come knocking, show them this token,” Meigetsu said as she handed an ornate golden token to Leo.
Leo thought for a moment before taking it and handing it to Serene.
