The atmosphere in the living room became awkward, with each person hiding their own thoughts in their hearts.
Lane James’s brain was spinning fast, and finally chose to pull a smile, eyes looking at Jim Grant comfortingly.
“Well Jim, Matthew he is just too worried about Blanca, this time it is true that our Shelly is at fault in the first place, Matthew is right not to accept it.”
Although he said so, taking the initiative to take all the blame, but it is also based on another consideration.
The soft words were meant for the rest of The Grant family, and now it looks like he’s the one who’s losing out, but it’s really just a show.
“Dad, stop it.”
Shelly pouted slightly, with a grudge hidden in her eyes.
She didn’t want to come over to The Grant family to apologize, even if it was to clear her of responsibility it was also to show Matthew Grant, as long as he alone believed it was enough.
But now it’s the opposite. Not only does Matthew Grant not believe her, but he may hate her even more because of this incident.
Shelly took a deep breath and spoke in a calm and firm tone.
“I’m willing to apologize to Blanca in person, and I’ll find someone else without her to do the engagement design.”
“Shelly, what are you talking about?” Adelina frowned, full of disbelief, and pulled her hand, “This matter is not your fault at all, why should you apologize?”
“Cousin, after all, this matter is related to me, if I don’t apologize to President Grant and Blanca, of course it’s not fair.”
Shelly said frankly, but her heart was full of resentment and jealousy.
She just wanted to make sure that Matthew Grant would not hate her because of this incident, to save some image in front of Matthew Grant, otherwise she would never have apologized to Blanca Roach.
If she didn’t do it right this time, there will be another time, and one day she will make Blanca Roach back off.
Jim Grant shrugged his shoulders and stared sideways at Matthew Grant with a mocking tone.
“President Grant, you don’t have a problem with my fiancée having said that, do you?”
“I think that will do.” Alan Grant nodded, a smile on his face, “Let’s all take a step back, Matthew, what do you think?”
“I don’t have a problem with it, it’s up to you guys.”
Matthew Grant spoke lightly, his face not showing the slightest emotion as he got up from the couch and stood up.
“If Miss Shelly apologizes, please go directly to my wife until she accepts your apology, and the engagement jewelry, we will do it since we promised, The Grant family does not do backtracking to hit the face.”
The words were sharply spoken, immediately causing Lane James to freeze and look embarrassed.
He could hear that Matthew Grant’s words were aimed at him, but what was the point of losing face in order to take The James family to the next level.
He gave a laugh and echoed the sentiment.
“Yes, yes, Matthew is right, it’s a blessing for Shelly to be married to The Grant family.”
“Don’t you say that either.” Alan Grant narrowed his eyes with a smile and pointed at Jim Grant, “Shelly also studied overseas, it’s his luck to see my grandson.”
Jim Grant laughed and didn’t say anything, instead he met Matthew Grant’s eyes and said half threateningly, half reluctantly.
“Yeah, and I don’t know when my luck will be as good as my big brother’s.”
Matthew Grant glanced at him, looking wide-eyed and completely unconcerned with him, and made a move to walk outside.
“Now that I’ve finished, I’ll be off, there’s still some unfinished business at the office.”
Before the words were out of his mouth, he lifted his legs and left the living room, not lingering a second longer.
