The press conference went well, and the media didn’t ask many questions, probably because of the pressure from The Grant family.
Blanca Roach packed up all the materials she had prepared, and just after she left the stage, she ran into someone with an unlucky face.
“President Roach, that’s a nice touch.” Oakes faked a smile and reached out to dust himself off, “To solve such a big problem, all to remove himself clean.”
“It’s better to be clean than to hold your own guilt over someone else’s head.”
Blanca Roach didn’t want to pay attention to him, but when he thought of the day before yesterday he had explicitly and implicitly put the suspicion on Isabel, he always felt angry and aggravated his tone.
“You know Isabel’s parents, why did you put the blame on her?”
“I just know them, it’s not like they can pay me.”
Oakes rubbed his hands together, his eyes filled with greed.
“On the other hand, President Roach, if this ad hadn’t been stopped by Matthew Grant, that design of yours might have helped my company go public.”
“You’re thinking big.” Blanca Roach glanced at him and lifted her foot to leave, “What’s not yours will never be yours, so pack up and go dream in front of the police.”
Isabel was guarding the backstage, and when she saw the people walking, she rushed to meet them.
“Blanca, the front press conference went well, right?”
“It went pretty well, don’t worry.” Blanca Roach patted her shoulder and hooked a smile, “It’s been a real aggravation for you these past few days.”
“I don’t have any problems, as long as things work out.”
After saying that, she suddenly remembered something and lowered her voice, her tone was a bit low.
“By the way, I know what happened to Amelia, I apologize for her, you also let her into the studio because she is my friend, I didn’t expect this would happen.”
“It’s none of your business, she didn’t even recognize the mistake herself, and you don’t have to apologize for her.”
Blanca Roach frowned tightly, her tone cold.
Maybe Amelia had used Isabel to get close to her in the first place, and had only confessed in front of her now because Elizabeth Harris had uncovered her lies.
From the beginning to the end, Amelia did not want to come forward to confess.
“Blanca, I still feel sorry.” Isabel took Blanca Roach’s arm, her face torn, “And Amelia seems to have been having thoughts about President Grant, and I’m doing my best to stop it.”
“I know, she’s acting too obvious, we’re not even picking on her.”
Blanca Roach’s eyes glazed over as she heard the sound of a police car outside the window, and frowned as she rethought what had happened in the meantime.
“There’s just one thing I can’t figure out, why it’s such a coincidence that everything about this incident points to you.”
“Yeah, I also think it’s too much of a coincidence, I felt shocked to see Uncle Fan that day.”
Isabel looked down at the corner and pondered, only to feel creeped out, the sweat on her back stood up.
“Could it be that they didn’t just want to set you up, even I was in their plan to make me the scapegoat in the first place?”
“That’s right, I just didn’t expect Amelia to be so cruel.”
The look in Blanca Roach’s eyes shifted, and she felt the blood in her body freeze and chill between her fingers.
If this incident was Amelia’s idea for Shelly, then it was simply horrible to think that she had been outwardly very good to Isabel, but behind the scenes she was thinking of how to frame Isabel.
If this hadn’t happened, who knows what else she would have done.
