Amelia heard a voice and looked up, her heart sank hard and her tone panicked.
“Miss Harris, why are you here?”
“Why can’t I be here.” Elizabeth Harris scanned up and down, suppressing the doubt in her heart, and spoke lightly: “Besides, this is not the way to Blanca’s studio.”
She had only heard that Blanca Roach’s studio was having some problems, and had only wanted to ask if she could help.
Elizabeth Harris frowned slightly and glanced at the door of the cafe.
“I mean, don’t you work for Blanca Roach Studios? What time is it that you’re still out here, are you chatting with someone here?”
“Miss Harris, I just came over to get a cup of coffee, and I’m not about to go to work.”
Amelia laughed dryly, deliberately blocking some of her view with her body, but her heart was pounding.
Now she wished Shelly could stay in there longer, otherwise Elizabeth Harris might see what was going on and be exposed.
She took a step forward and tried to get Elizabeth Harris to turn around, smiling coquettishly.
“I see that Miss Harris is also going to look for Blanca, so it’s just as well we’re on our way, let’s go there together.”
“Stay away from me.” Elizabeth Harris deliberately moved a step to the side, her body did not move, her eyes became more and more certain, “You are in such a hurry to go, is it because your heart is weak?”
“Why, we’d better get going …”
The words have not finished, Shelly stepped on high heels out of the cafe, glanced this way, eyes disdainful.
“It’s really bad luck today, you can meet anyone.”
“I’m the one who’s really unlucky.”
Elizabeth Harris’ heartfelt suspicions were confirmed, and her face cooled as she scanned the two back and forth, her tone cold.
“I just came over to buy a coffee and I ran into you two meeting in private, maybe discussing something bad, you say, it is bad luck and who is unlucky.”
“What evidence do you have to say that the two of us are here to meet privately!”
Shelly’s face changed and she simply raised her voice and began to stir up nonsense.
“I also said you came to meet her privately, maybe you’re the reason your good friend Blanca Roach is in this situation, you just can’t stand the fact that Peter Murray likes her!”
“Nonsense!” Elizabeth Harris looked at her with a stern look in her eyes, “What’s it to do with Murray, and what we do has nothing to do with you as an outsider.”
“It’s a matter known to everyone in S-town, why don’t you let us talk about it.”
“Why not.”
Peter Murray pushed open the car door, walked straight to Elizabeth Harris, sunken eyes at the opposite person, coldly said.
“You can talk, it’s not in vain that you have someone to look into it.”
“Why are you here.”
Elizabeth Harris lowered her voice and moved to the side again, her tone was a little impatient.
“I’m having a fight with someone here and you want to come and join the fun? Is the president of the university so free?”
“It varies from person to person, besides, how can I watch you suffer.”
“How could I possibly be aggrieved in a quarrel.” She blinked, her tone a little incredulous, “You go now, I’m the one who’s aggravated by you being here.”
Peter Murray’s mouth curled in an imperceptible light smile and he nodded, teasingly.
“That’s no problem, then I’ll wait for you in the car.”
After the words were said, he swept his head up over Shelly, a chill bubbling in his eyes, his whole being carrying an air of oppression.
“Miss Shelly, you know best what you have done, there is no need to dump it on others, be careful of playing with fire and burning yourself up.”
