Amelia called to the cafe early in the morning and, although extremely reluctant to come, stepped into the store with her bag, seeing as Shelly was still somewhat useful.
“What’s the hurry to call me here, is there something wrong?”
“Can’t I call you if there’s nothing?” Shelly glanced at the reluctant someone, her tone mocking, “Or are you just so busy that you can’t even spare ten minutes.”
“I’m not busy, I’m just not as free as Miss Shelly.”
Amelia put her bag on a chair aside and pulled the corner of her mouth, full of perfume.
“What do you have to say quickly, I have to go to work too.”
“Work? I’m afraid you’re about to run out of shifts.” Shelly cupped her coffee cup, raised her eyebrows at the person across the table, and sneered, “Aren’t you afraid that Matthew Grant will find out what you’ve done?”
“I didn’t do this, did I not do it, Miss Shelly?”
Hearing these words, Shelly’s snapped her eyes up, her face gloomy, and said in anger.
“You don’t want to get away with it! This is clearly your idea, and you want to blame it on me, do not look at who you are, sophistry words are not believed?”
“Miss Shelly, I only helped you get Blanca Roach’s signature, I didn’t meet Oakes and I didn’t sign the contract.
Amelia half leaned back in her chair, raised her eyebrows at the person across the table, a face of indifference.
“It’s better to worry about yourself first, Miss Shelly.”
“Don’t worry, even if they find me, I won’t make you feel better, I’ll make your downfall ten times worse than mine.”
Shelly gathered a nervous look, the corners of her mouth hanging a clear cold smile, said word by word.
“After all, my family’s power in, you count what things, if not to see you a little useful, you even do not have the qualification of my family’s doorstep shoeshine maid.”
Although this sentence was said harshly, it was really not wrong at all.
Amelia’s expression changed, hiding a sudden hint of panic under her eyes, the corners of her mouth raised a slight curve, and she spoke softly.
“Miss Shelly is right, I am the one who doesn’t deserve it, so what are Miss Shelly’s orders this time?”
“I want you to keep your own mouth shut and recognize yourself.” Shelly hummed lightly, her words were sarcastic, “Save yourself from always saying things you don’t know how to say.”
“Got it, what Miss Shelly said.”
Amelia secretly rolled her eyes, took the bag she put next to her into her hand and made a move to leave.
“Well, you said also said, nothing I will leave first, I such a small person really do not have time to sit dry and drink coffee like Miss Du’s.”
“To go can, remember not to show any foot, last night Blanca Roach seems to have some suspicion.”
“Got it, I’ll keep an eye on it.”
She answered, stepping on her heels and walking straight outside, her whole face with a hostile look.
If she didn’t have to rely on Shelly’s power to deal with Blanca Roach now, she wouldn’t have suffered this kind of anger, she wanted to go up and give her a slap!
“I’m so mad at you!”
Amelia walked faster and faster, muttering curses under her breath, until she bumped into someone and took several steps back.
She frowned tightly and couldn’t help but raise her voice to curse.
“Who is it! Don’t you have eyes when you walk?”
“Why don’t you ask yourself before asking others?” Elizabeth Harris held onto a side pillar, bent over and shook her ankle, saw the person across the street and frowned, “We really have a destiny to run into you even here.”
