In the next moment, Elder Blake and Elder Redmond each transformed into a streak of light, swiftly approaching the light curtain. As they neared, their hands moved rapidly, forming seals.
Elder Blake utilized Ice Element Force, forming a massive ice crystal fist that smashed down onto the light curtain. Elder Redmond also unleashed his Force, sending a palm strike that transformed into a fire tiger, charging at the light curtain.
The fist and the fire tiger collided with the light curtain, causing it to shake violently and ripple. The formation’s runes flickered, and the ripples quickly disappeared as the light curtain stabilized.
“Damn it, I refuse to believe we can’t break this!” Elder Blake’s face twisted in anger as he relentlessly pounded the light curtain with his fists. Elder Redmond was not far behind, continuously striking with both palms.
Under their combined assault, the light curtain shook violently. In the sky, eighteen Thunder Light Giant Swords, which had stopped attacking Helena, now pointed at Elder Blake and Elder Redmond.
The eighteen Thunder Light Giant Swords descended with a roar, lightning flashing like falling meteors. Elder Blake and Elder Redmond’s expressions changed simultaneously, forcing them to abandon their bombardment of the light curtain and split apart.
The eighteen Thunder Light Giant Swords divided into two groups, nine targeting Elder Blake and nine targeting Elder Redmond. Elder Blake’s figure flickered as he shot three sharp ice fingers from his joined fingers, aiming at the leading Thunder Light Giant Sword.
The foremost Thunder Light Giant Sword was quickly covered in a layer of hard ice and shattered. However, the remaining eight Thunder Light Giant Swords continued to pursue Elder Blake. On the other side, Elder Redmond was also forced into a difficult situation by the Thunder Light Giant Swords, looking somewhat disheveled.
In the small wooden house beneath Spirit Crocodile Cliff, Leo still had his eyes closed, with more and more liquefied spiritual energy accumulating in his elixir field. Three minutes later, the last spirit stone around him turned to dust.
Leo’s eyes suddenly opened, a brilliant gleam flashing through them. He had finally broken through the bottleneck! The surrounding spiritual energy surged towards Leo like a tornado. Leo quickly operated the Nine Heavens Star Chart, absorbing all the spiritual energy and converting it into spiritual power before compressing it into liquid form.
As the liquid spiritual power in Leo’s elixir field increased, his divine sense range also expanded. Above Spirit Crocodile Cliff, one Thunder Light Giant Sword after another was shattered by Elder Blake and Elder Redmond’s attacks.
Their situation was not good; one Thunder Light Giant Sword grazed Elder Blake’s head, cutting off some of his hair. Already having little hair to begin with, this made Elder Blake both embarrassed and furious.
Elder Blake let out a deep shout, forming seals with his hands. Ice Element Force transformed into a giant ice blade in front of him. Gripping the ice blade with both hands, he slashed violently at the last three Thunder Light Giant Swords.
The first Thunder Light Giant Sword shattered instantly. The second one followed suit shortly after. By the time he reached the third Thunder Light Giant Sword, cracks had appeared on the ice blade. The ice blade collided with the last Thunder Light Giant Sword, producing a crisp shattering sound.
The ice blade shattered into pieces, falling from mid-air as ice shards. Simultaneously, the last Thunder Light Giant Sword also dissipated. Elder Blake exhaled a breath of frustration, feeling much relieved.
On the other side, Elder Redmond had also incinerated the last few Thunder Light Giant Swords pursuing him into nothingness. However, his condition was not much better; scorch marks marred his shoulder and robe hem, making him look rather bedraggled.
In the sky, the massive thunderclouds rumbled again. At the center of the formation, intricate runes interwove as their glow became even brighter.
“What? There’s more!” Elder Blake and Elder Redmond looked up simultaneously, their faces turning extremely grim. More Thunder Light Giant Swords appeared and quickly exceeded eighteen in number.
In just a few breaths’ time, thirty Thunder Light Giant Swords appeared in the sky. The formation of these thirty swords nearly exhausted the thundercloud’s stored power. The glowing runes at the center of the formation also dimmed considerably.
The thirty Thunder Light Giant Swords lined up in the sky, their imposing presence still terrifying. Both Elder Blake and Elder Redmond felt a slight tingling on their scalps.
Although facing so many Thunder Light Giant Swords wouldn’t cost them their lives, breaking through thirty of them was no easy task. At this moment, Elder Helena, who had been observing the formation with interest, spoke up.
“Taoist formations indeed have their merits. Though different from our clan’s jutsu in many ways, without someone controlling it, breaking this formation is not difficult for me.”
As soon as Elder Helena finished speaking, thirty Thunder Light Giant Swords descended from the sky, violently attacking Elder Blake, Elder Redmond, and Helena.
Helena let out a cold laugh and raised her black cane. Her posture was extremely strange, as if performing some ancient and peculiar jutsu akin to a ritual.
Buzz!
The cane in her hand brightened slightly, emitting a faint black glow that covered an area of several dozen meters around her.
“Behold my great Witchcraft!”
Elder Helena aimed her black cane at the descending thirty Thunder Light Giant Swords. A powerful corrosive poisonous black gas erupted from the cane, transforming into a black cloud that met the thirty swords head-on.
The thirty Thunder Light Giant Swords, filled with thunderous power, plunged into the black cloud. The cloud emitted sizzling sounds as some of its poisonous black gas was quickly evaporated by the thunderous power and dissipated into nothingness.
However, more poisonous black gas began to corrode the energy within the Thunder Light Giant Swords. One by one, they shattered within the black cloud until all thirty were completely engulfed.
The now-dim black cloud slowly floated upwards and merged with what little remained of the thundercloud in the sky before both dissipated together.
Gentle sunlight pierced through the slowly dispersing clouds and bathed everything below.
“Thank you for your help, Elder Helena,” Elder Blake said respectfully to her.
“Elder Blake, break that light curtain,” Elder Helena commanded coldly.
“Yes,” Elder Blake nodded and punched the light curtain. The ice crystal fist struck it hard, causing it to tremble violently. A crack appeared on its surface and quickly spread until with a “bang,” it shattered into light particles that vanished under the sunlight.
“The formation is actually broken!” Serene and others’ faces turned grim immediately.
“Leo, you bastard! Your formation has been broken by us; come out and face your death!” Elder Blake’s icy voice echoed throughout Spirit Crocodile Cliff.
Meanwhile, in the small wooden house beneath Spirit Crocodile Cliff, all the spiritual energy converging into Leo was absorbed completely. With a loud bang, Leo’s eyes snapped open as a brilliant gleam flashed through them.
