“We retreat!” Serene shouted to the three from Ocean Source.
Following the command of the Grand Elder, the three from Ocean Source swiftly flew towards the back mountain.
“Trying to escape? Impossible!” Elder Blake sneered and pursued them.
Elder Redmond and the elderly woman named Helena followed closely behind.
Upon reaching Spirit Crocodile Cliff at the back mountain, Serene and her companions suddenly halted at the edge of the cliff.
“Keep running if you dare,” Elder Blake taunted with a cold smile.
“We don’t want to run anymore,” Serene said, staring at Elder Blake and his companions with a calm expression.
Seeing the look on Serene’s face, a hint of suspicion flashed in Elder Blake’s eyes, and he paused.
Serene flipped her right hand, revealing a Jade Talisman.
The surface of the Jade Talisman was engraved with intricate sword-shaped inscriptions.
Crack!
Serene crushed the Jade Talisman.
As the Jade Talisman shattered, hundreds of beams of light shot up within a 500-meter radius.
The beams of light connected to form a massive light screen.
The light screen was adorned with transparent sword-shaped patterns, looking incredibly mystical.
At the center of the hemispherical light screen, beneath Spirit Crocodile Cliff at Spirit Crocodile Pond, mysterious array patterns intertwined with light, forming a massive array.
This array was naturally set up by Leo, designed to absorb spiritual energy from heaven and earth and provide defensive capabilities.
“Is this the legendary array?” Elder Blake’s face changed dramatically.
“Amazing,” Elder Redmond exclaimed in awe.
Even though they had lived for many years, it was their first time witnessing such a miraculous scene.
At the edge of Spirit Crocodile Cliff, Serene, Ocean Source, Cold River, and Skyfire looked on in astonishment.
It was also their first time seeing the array manifest in this way.
“Leo said that if powerful enemies attack, we can activate the array to withstand attacks from high-level Warrior Kings,” Serene thought, unable to contain her excitement.
Boom…!
At that moment, a burst of lightning erupted from the mysterious array patterns.
With a surge of spiritual energy, a thunderous roar echoed between heaven and earth.
Above the array, a massive thundercloud suddenly formed.
Within the thundercloud, lightning flickered, exuding an extremely terrifying pressure.
“Jade Talisman, Spirit Medicine, array… I didn’t come here for nothing,” Helena said in a chilling voice as she looked up at the rolling thundercloud.
Elder Blake’s face darkened. Under the thundercloud, he felt a twinge of fear.
The massive thundercloud rolled once more.
Three giant swords, each as tall as two people and crackling with lightning, descended from the thundercloud.
The Thunder Light Giant Swords were enveloped in dazzling lightning.
The Thunder Light Giant Swords lined up in the sky, targeting Elder Blake, Elder Redmond, and Helena below.
The three Thunder Light Giant Swords dove down simultaneously, leaving trails of lightning in their wake.
Serene and her companions watched with heavy hearts as the giant swords descended with the wrath of thunder, feeling both fear and awe.
They could sense the immense power contained within. If those swords attacked them directly, they would be unable to resist.
Elder Blake’s eyes flashed coldly. His hands moved rapidly in a series of seals as a torrent of Ice Element Force surged from within him.
“Divine Light Ice Shield!” Elder Blake shouted. The Ice Element Force formed a massive ice shield in front of him.
The Thunder Light Giant Sword crashed into the ice shield with a thunderous impact.
Cracks appeared on the ice shield before it shattered with a bang under Elder Blake’s incredulous gaze.
The Thunder Light Giant Sword broke through the ice shield with only a slight reduction in power, continuing its assault on Elder Blake.
Elder Blake’s expression changed. He channeled his Force and leaped back more than ten meters.
To his surprise, the Thunder Light Giant Sword had a tracking function. It didn’t crash into the ground but curved to pursue Elder Blake again.
“Damn it!” Elder Blake growled, his eyes cold as he clenched his right fist.
Ice crystals formed on his fist as he punched towards the incoming Thunder Light Giant Sword.
The Thunder Light Giant Sword collided with Elder Blake’s fist. After a few moments of resistance, cracks appeared on the sword before it shattered.
At the same time, cracks appeared on Elder Blake’s ice-crystal-covered fist before it shattered as well.
Elder Blake’s face turned grim. Although he had broken the Thunder Light Giant Sword, his fist was slightly injured, showing a bloodstain.
A drop of blood dripped from Elder Blake’s long, slender fingers.
“No wonder it’s called a miraculous array. It indeed has some tricks,” Elder Blake said as he looked up at the thundercloud with a serious expression.
On the other side, Elder Redmond’s palms were engulfed in crimson flames as he shattered the Thunder Light Giant Sword pursuing him.
Among the three, Elder Helena had the easiest time. She merely placed her black cane against the Thunder Light Giant Sword, causing it to dissipate effortlessly.
Although they had broken the three Thunder Light Giant Swords, the thundercloud above did not disperse.
The thundercloud rolled again. This time, nine Thunder Light Giant Swords descended from it.
“They actually sent down nine more!” Serene exclaimed in shock. “Leo’s methods are truly unpredictable.”
The nine Thunder Light Giant Swords dove down from the sky. Three targeted Elder Blake, three targeted Elder Redmond, and three targeted Helena.
Elder Blake snorted coldly and quickly mobilized his Force to meet the descending swords.
Elder Redmond did the same. Crimson flames enveloped him, making him look like a man of fire.
As Elder Blake and Elder Redmond shattered their respective swords, their faces paled slightly due to the immense consumption of Force.
Only Elder Helena remained at ease. Her black cane released corrosive black gas that easily dissolved the three swords into nothingness.
After breaking the swords, Elder Helena’s dark eyes focused on the center of the array as if she were studying its patterns with great interest.
After the nine Thunder Light Giant Swords shattered, the array’s light fluctuated. The spirit stones serving as its foundation turned to powder as all their energy was absorbed into the array.
The thundercloud in the sky began to churn violently again, seemingly nurturing an even stronger thunderous power.
After about ten seconds, eighteen Thunder Light Giant Swords descended from the thundercloud.
Elder Blake and Elder Redmond’s expressions grew more serious.
First three swords, then nine swords, now eighteen swords-it seemed endless.
More importantly, each wave was stronger than the last.
“Elder Blake, there’s no need to waste time here. Break through the light screen and destroy the array!” Elder Redmond suggested.
“Agreed,” Elder Blake nodded.
