Only after Isabel hid the room, Blanca Roach resumed her seat in her office chair and raised her eyes to the door.
Within a minute, there were several knocks at the door.
“President Roach, this is Curtis Irwin, is it convenient to come in for a moment?”
“Come on in.” Blanca Roach spread a few designs in front of her, without looking up, her tone was light, “What brings you here?” Matthew Grant has a message for you to bring me?
Curtis Irwin frowned slightly, scanned the office and slowed his tone.
“No, I came to pick up Isabel, but I didn’t see her outside.”
“I guess not seeing means not coming, I was too busy handing over the venue and decorations for the launch today to notice.”
Blanca Roach spoke casually, took a sip from the coffee next to her and swept across Curtis Irwin’s face.
“Didn’t you contact Isabel before you came to pick her up? Why are you asking me instead of finding her?”
“She didn’t answer my calls.” Curtis Irwin said, “And she hasn’t spoken to me for days, so I came here to talk to her.”
“Oh, so.”
Blanca Roach nodded with an unconcerned look, “Then she’s not here with me, so you can contact her again.”
“Ma’am, I know you help Isabel, is it true she’s not here?”
“Then you look for it.” Blanca Roach looked at him with her coffee, “I don’t know if I can find her, you should know if she wants to see you or not.”
This is a clear statement that Isabel does not want to see him now.
Curtis Irwin looked sideways at the lounge next to him and nodded helplessly.
“Okay, then I’ll go first, and when she is willing to see me, madam, you tell her to contact me.”
With that, he simply turned around and left the office, not stopping for half a second.
Blanca Roach watched the departing figure and sighed.
“Come out, he’s gone.”
Isabel pushed open the door and came out, her face torn, and asked, “Blanca, what do you think I should do?”
“I can’t really give you any advice on that, you heard what Curtis Irwin just said, but since he wants to talk to you properly, you should take this chance and talk through all the problems.”
I don’t know why, but Blanca Roach felt that she was like a “neighborhood council lady” mediating a dispute this time, and her words were very serious.
Isabel nodded her head and walked out of the office in silence.
When Matthew Grant picked her up at the studio in the evening, Blanca Roach saw Isabel getting into Curtis Irwin’s car as soon as she left.
She breathed a sigh of relief and showed a hint of satisfaction.
After all, these two people did not disappoint her, otherwise her words and drama today would have been in vain.
Matthew Grant looked down at Blanca Roach, hooked the corner of his mouth, and knocked her on the head behind him.
“What’s that look on your face?”
“Nothing, I simply don’t think it’s easy, there’s really no way to avoid the conflict between husband and wife.”
With that, she also sighed and got straight into the passenger seat.
Matthew Grant frowned, got in from the other side, leaned over in front of Blanca Roach, and asked in a low voice.
“Why, what did I do to upset the lady again?”
“I wasn’t talking about you.”
Blanca Roach deflated and put her seat belt on before glaring at him again, her tone serious.
“Let me ask you, if, and I mean if I didn’t want to have a second child at all, would you be mad at me?”
“How would.”
I wonder where his little woman came up with this odd question again.
Matthew Grant lifted his hand and rubbed the swirl of her hair, pursing his lips and smiling.
“If you don’t want to have one, I’ll wait until you agree, but do you want our little Alice to grow up all alone?”
Blanca Roach thought about it for a second and nodded her head a few times as if in agreement.
“Matthew Grant, I’ve decided, let’s have a second child.”
