Leo knew he was referring to Brady entering his combat form after growing wings.
Once Brady entered his combat form, Leo was well aware of how terrifyingly powerful he could be. Leo knew that without using the array, it would be nearly impossible for him to defeat Brady.
While he couldn’t do it, Trystan managed to.
Leo couldn’t help but give him a once-over. His black robe had a tear here and a hole there.
Strangely, through those holes, one couldn’t see Trystan’s skin, only darkness, as if there was nothing inside.
On the other side, Knox and Vivian had also dealt with the three strange individuals. Though they were slightly injured, it was nothing serious.
Notably, the masked man had his mask shattered, revealing his true face.
It turned out he had no face-no eyes, mouth, or nose-just like his mask.
All seven mutants from the Sea Eagle Organization were down, and no one else entered the Quantum Research Center. The four of them walked directly onto the circular platform.
Knox approached the massive Yu Cauldron and did something that made it start to shrink until it was the size of a human fist.
Later, Leo learned that the Yu Cauldron was a divine artifact of Atraria, and using the Control Cauldron Art could change its size.
Not only that, but changing the size also altered its weight.
In other words, the now-shrunken Yu Cauldron could be easily carried by Vivian.
Picking up the shrunken Yu Cauldron from the ground, Knox said, “Mission accomplished. Let’s go.”
On their way out, they dealt with three more mutants and some clueless guards.
Strictly speaking, it was Trystan who handled these people. The name “Killer God” was well-deserved.
Returning to the rendezvous point, Alden Cabrera drove them away into the night.
However, Alden Cabrera wasn’t heading towards the city but eastward.
An hour later, Alden Cabrera dropped them off at a beach.
“What are we doing here?” Leo asked, puzzled.
Knox smiled mysteriously. “We’re making a run for it. We’ve exposed ourselves by hitting the Sea Eagle Organization’s headquarters. We can’t go back to New York.”
Knox then took out a special phone from WONDER and quickly tapped on the screen.
In less than three minutes, a speedboat approached in the night.
The speedboat stopped at the shore, its lights flashing three times quickly. A middle-aged man then disembarked and walked towards them.
The middle-aged man exchanged a password with Knox.
After confirming it was correct, he extended his hand. “Please, follow me.”
After boarding the speedboat, the middle-aged man turned it around and sped away. The roar of the engine soon drowned out everything as they disappeared from the shore.
It was Leo’s first time on a speedboat at sea. The cold sea breeze on his face and body didn’t feel chilly.
Moreover, due to the speed of the boat, it felt like they were gliding over the water.
After about twenty minutes, the speedboat slowed down.
Ahead, lights revealed a large ship.
The middle-aged man took a flashlight from his waist and signaled to the ship before turning back to say, “This is as far as I go. Safe travels!”
He then adjusted the boat’s angle to match the ship’s direction and speed. Soon, a rope ladder was lowered from the ship, and they climbed aboard one by one.
As for Trystan, he always had his ghostly ways. By the time Leo climbed up, Trystan was already standing on deck.
Six sailors on deck looked at them with reverence in their eyes.
A middle-aged man in uniform approached with a hearty voice. “Welcome aboard. The night wind is strong; please follow me to the cabin to rest.”
Leo suddenly remembered something and quickly asked Knox beside him, “What about our luggage?”
“No need to worry; your luggage is already on board,” replied the middle-aged man upon hearing Leo’s question.
It seemed that regardless of whether their mission at Sea Eagle Organization’s headquarters succeeded or not, their escape was planned all along.
Leo was concerned about his luggage because it contained two treasures: the Holy Scarab and the Holy Nail. He couldn’t leave them in New York.
Entering the cabin, they quickly warmed up.
The dining table in the cabin was laden with various foods, some still hot. These people had impeccable timing.
As they ate, the ship began to accelerate.
Leo knew WONDER would handle their return home entirely. This meant their thrilling European journey was over.
With his stomach full, Leo suddenly thought of Maximilian. “Knox, Vivian, isn’t Mr. Jasper coming with us?”
Vivian sighed. “He wanted to return home long ago, but orders from above require him to stay in New York for another year.”
“Didn’t we find the Yu Cauldron? What other tasks are there?” Leo didn’t understand.
Vivian explained, “It’s not just about the Yu Cauldron; there are other missions too. I don’t know the specifics.”
Just as Vivian finished speaking, Leo suddenly covered his mouth and rushed out of the cabin.
Standing by the railing on deck, Leo vomited everything he had just eaten into the sea.
Yes, Leo was seasick.
He lost count of how many times he vomited on that ship. He didn’t sleep all night; he just kept wanting to throw up.
He felt dehydrated and dizzy, unable to tell east from west.
Leo tried using spiritual power to counteract his seasickness but to no avail.
Fortunately, the sea journey wasn’t long, and he managed to endure it.
After several transfers, they found themselves on the streets of Paris by afternoon the next day.
WONDER arranged for them to stay in Paris for one night before flying home the next day.
After dinner, Leo decided not to be a third wheel and didn’t join Knox and Vivian for a night tour of Paris.
In his hotel room, Leo took out the Holy Scarab and Holy Nail.
He planned to study these Ecclesia relics thoroughly. If he could figure out how to use them, all the better.
However, after studying for a long time without any results, his phone’s WeChat notification interrupted his thoughts.
Opening WeChat, he saw a message from Sophia Henley. She said her flight would arrive in Paris early tomorrow morning for a business meeting and asked if Leo could stay an extra day in Paris.
Without hesitation, Leo decided to stay and wait for her to finish her business so they could return home together.
