Chapter 369: Annihilation!

Book:Fallen Heir Rising Published:2024-6-25

In the car, Quentin started the engine and drove onto the road. Riya sat beside him, and neither of them spoke, creating an eerie atmosphere.
Riya glanced at the man next to her. His serious demeanor had a unique charm, especially with the faint scent of tobacco mixed with his masculine aura, making her cheeks flush.
Over the years, she had been raising Aubree alone and had little private interaction with men, let alone in such an intimate space.
A responsible and manly man like Quentin was exactly her ideal type. Honestly, she envied Charlotte for having a marriage partner like Quentin. while she herself was a lonely single mother.
At this thought, a hint of sadness flashed in her eyes.
Riya asked, “Quentin, dealing with the Edwards family this time is very dangerous. They are not only wealthy but also powerful, capable of stirring up trouble in Stresall.”
“Aren’t you afraid of their retaliation?”
“Do you regret getting involved?”
Quentin replied, “Charlotte has suffered so much for me. I would do anything for her without regret.”
“Besides, the Edwards family is nothing.”
“They don’t have what it takes to make me regret.”
Riya said, “Quentin, I know you’re very capable. Back in Sloburg Kindergarten, you killed those bandits, and even Raphael respects you.”
“But the Edwards family should not be underestimated.”
“With their power, it’s not surprising if they have access to firearms.”
“Moreover, they are different from those bandits. If they die, someone will definitely investigate. Unless absolutely necessary, don’t take action.”
“Don’t risk yourself.”
Hearing Riya’s advice, Quentin smiled and said, “Don’t worry, Riya. I know what I’m doing. I’ll take care of this for you.”
“This time, we’re meeting Jaime, the head of the Edwards family.”
“Be careful.”
Jaime?
Hearing this name, a cold glint flashed in Quentin’s eyes.
The heads of the top four richest families were behind his imprisonment. Later, his parents were forced to jump off a building and are still missing because of their actions. How could Quentin let his enemies go easily?
Urijah was already taken care of; next was the entire Edwards family.
Since that’s the case…
Let’s start with Jaime!
The car continued down a secluded road and finally reached the outskirts.
The area was filled with abandoned factories.
After several twists and turns, Quentin and his companions finally stopped in front of one factory.
“Is this the place?” Quentin asked.
“Yes,” Riya nodded. “The location he sent me is here.”
Inside the factory, Devon was tied to a pillar, covered in wounds with blood on his head. Jaime sat on a chair nearby, holding a cigarette between his fingers, his eyes flashing with cold light. He also held a walkie-talkie.
“Mr. Edwards, they’ve arrived,” a voice came through the walkie-talkie.
“How many people? Did that woman play any tricks?” Jaime asked.
“No tricks. I didn’t see anyone following them. It should be just two people and a man driving her.”
“Really?” Jaime sneered. “That woman pretends to be so pure. She rejected me countless times before.”
“I thought she was some virtuous lady, but she’s just a slut who ends up under a man anyway.”
His tone was filled with disdain.
Riya was indeed a stunning beauty with an exceptional appearance and mature charm that was temptation to men. Working at Time Group, Jaime had many thoughts about her but never succeeded.
“Heh heh, boss, isn’t this your chance? Today you can enjoy this top-notch woman,” a man said lewdly.
Jaime waved his hand. “Forget it. I’m sought-after, and I’m not interested in a woman about to die. But if you want to play, go ahead.”
“Boss, you mean…”
The men’s eyes lit up.
Jaime took a drag on his cigarette and said coldly, “After it’s done, kill them all.”
“This thing is a hot potato. Now that it’s in our hands, I won’t let anyone else know about it, not even the Shannon siblings.”
Devon trembled and glared angrily. “Bastard! You tricked my sister here and now want to destroy all evidence?”
“Exactly!”
Jaime admitted frankly. “Only fools like you believe me.”
“In the face of billions in profits, what are trust and promises?”
He laughed disdainfully.
Aviana also trembled in fear. She hadn’t expected Jaime to kill everyone!
Wasn’t she on a pirate ship now?
She just wanted to earn a million dollars… but so much had happened.
“Mr. Edwards, I… I have nothing to do with this anymore. Can I leave now?” Aviana’s voice trembled.
“Miss Wooten, your game has just begun. Where are you going?”
Jaime smiled playfully. “Give Miss Wooten a knife. Later, we’ll watch her performance. After all, once you’re on our pirate ship, it’s hard to get off.”
A burly man shoved a knife into Aviana’s hand and patted her face. “Here’s your chance. Later, you’ll personally deal with your little boyfriend-”
Aviana shivered. “I-I can’t!”
She was just greedy for money; she didn’t have the guts to kill someone.
“Slap!!”
The man slapped her face and kicked her over. “If you don’t kill him, fine. Then you’ll die instead… You think you can escape if they go back alive?”
Aviana’s mind went blank.
At that moment, the factory door was kicked open!
