Afterwards, without any delay, Leo left Davids Island.
Back at the hotel, Leo continued drawing Talismans, always preparing for any eventuality.
If Trystan couldn’t handle Brady, Leo would have to step in.
At 8 PM, in the hotel conference room.
Leo, Maximilian, Knox, and Vivian all wore expressions of impatience. They had agreed to meet at 8 sharp, but Trystan was already more than ten minutes late.
Vivian initially wanted to go to his room to call him, but the thought of his intense aura made her hesitate.
“Knox, maybe you should…” Maximilian began to suggest that Knox fetch Trystan, but before he could finish, a shadow drifted in.
Yes, Trystan floated in like a ghost, his feet not touching the ground.
Not only did he float in, but he also ignored everyone, treating Leo and the others as if they were invisible.
Maximilian’s mouth twitched as he raised his voice, “Since everyone is here, let’s begin the operation!”
Leaving the hotel, Alden Cabrera drove them in a seven-seater SUV towards Davids Island.
Throughout the journey, Trystan sat silently in the back row like a shadow.
His attitude made the others reluctant to engage with him, avoiding unnecessary trouble.
An hour later, the car stopped at the edge of Davids Island.
After getting out of the car, Alden Cabrera stayed behind as usual, waiting with the engine off.
It was late at night, and Davids Island was almost pitch black. Fortunately, distant lights provided enough illumination for them to see their way.
Thanks to a map of Davids Island obtained from a vampire, they quickly made their way to the entrance of the Sea Eagle Organization’s underground base.
This time, they didn’t wear invisibility cloaks because they were directly infiltrating the Sea Eagle Organization’s headquarters, making such precautions unnecessary.
The entrance was at the base of a dilapidated lighthouse. Under the cover of darkness, they successfully entered and quietly descended the stairs.
Before reaching the bottom, Leo signaled for them to stop and look down.
They saw a massive metal door guarded by two sentries on either side.
The guards were armed and stood rigidly, staring straight ahead like robots.
For Leo, dealing with two ordinary guards, even if they were fully armed, was an easy task.
Just as he was about to act, a cold breeze brushed past his ear. A shadow flashed in front of the guards.
Before they could react, they collapsed to the ground.
Trystan reappeared behind Leo. The entire process took less than three seconds.
Leo hadn’t even seen how Trystan made his move. No wonder he carried such a heavy aura; he killed swiftly and efficiently.
They approached the metal door. Knox lifted one of the guard’s hands and pressed it against a screen on the right side of the door.
The metal door slowly parted from the center.
Leo noticed that the door was extremely thick, likely impervious to armor-piercing rounds.
Beyond the door was a wide corridor, spacious enough for five people to walk side by side.
The corridor was brightly lit and seemed entirely made of metal. The reflections from the lights gave it a futuristic feel, like walking through a spaceship.
There were no traps or cameras in the corridor. The four cautiously advanced as the metal door behind them closed slowly.
The corridor was long. After walking for some distance, they reached a T-junction.
Thanks to the internal facility map provided by the vampire, they knew which way to go and turned right without hesitation.
“Everyone, there are cameras and sensors ahead. Avoid detection if possible,” Leo warned.
Knox walked second and Vivian third, both with cautious expressions.
Trystan remained silent and expressionless from start to finish.
After another fifty meters, Leo raised his hand, signaling them to stop.
He pointed ahead and whispered, “Camera. Knox, can you freeze its feed?”
Knowing Knox’s ability to control electricity, Leo figured he could handle electronic devices like cameras.
Knox nodded and placed his hand on the wall. A tiny visible current traveled along the wall towards the camera.
Once it reached the camera, Knox said, “Let’s go. The camera feed is frozen for one minute.”
They jogged past the camera’s field of view and reached a left turn.
Using his senses, Leo detected people around the corner and signaled for them to stop again.
He held up three fingers to indicate three people were around the corner and glanced at Trystan.
Trystan’s ghostly figure vanished instantly.
When they rounded the corner, they saw Trystan standing in front of another metal door with three armed guards lying motionless at his feet. Though unmarked and bloodless, they showed no signs of life.
Trystan’s ruthless efficiency made him even more terrifying than Brady.
At the metal door requiring fingerprint verification, they used a guard’s fingerprint as before.
The door opened to reveal another corridor.
After navigating several twists and turns without reaching the main facility yet, it became clear how vast the Sea Eagle Organization’s headquarters was.
They pressed on without hesitation. After a short walk through another corridor section, they encountered a crossroads.
Approaching the core area of Sea Eagle Organization’s headquarters and anticipating potential battles ahead, Leo retracted his senses.
Estimating that The Nine Cauldrons might be in a research lab, Leo whispered to the group, “Let’s go right.”
Just as they reached the center of the crossroads, a tall woman in white appeared from the right corridor.
She had long blonde hair and a striking figure that even her white work uniform couldn’t conceal.
Seemingly lost in thought as she walked with her head down, she suddenly sensed something and looked up sharply. Her red lips parted slowly in surprise.
Not wanting Trystan to harm her, Leo moved like a gust of wind just as she opened her mouth. Before she could scream, he covered her mouth with one hand and gripped her neck with the other.
