“The Lin Group?” Sachin flashed fiercely as he said, “I’ll let you handle this. since he enjoys playing around so much, you should make him experience the consequences of his actions.”
“Don’t worry, I’ll take care of it,” Corey said as he reassured his brother. He patted his chest and his eyes shone brightly with excitement as he continued, “Oh yes, what should we do about that woman? I’m sure she definitely had something to do with this.”
“I’ll let your sister-in-law take care of that woman. That woman will have to pay the price for messing with your sister-in-law.”
“All right. I’ll make sure that those who dared to mess with us will pay. He won’t even know what had hit him.”
Rosiley regained consciousness the next morning. Sachin had been beside her the entire time, and when he saw that she was awake, he asked her tenderly, “How do you feel? Do you feel unwell?”
“What happened to me?” Rosiley asked with a tinge of confusion as she sat up in bed.
“You were drugged yesterday but I arrived in time and sent you to the hospital,” he explained.
His words jolted back her memory and she couldn’t help shivering when she thought of how malicious Rorey had been along with Erain Lin’s persistence the night before.
“Rorey!”
“That b*tch has really gone too far!”
“Don’t be afraid. Everything’s okay now,” he said as he gently comforted her by pulling her into his embrace.
She leaned into him and her eyes clouded with tears as she said, “I really don’t know what I would have done if you hadn’t come in time.”
“This won’t happen again,” he said darkly and his voice took on a frightening note, but she was very touched by his gesture.
She knew that she had been in a terrible state the night before after being drugged, so she thought that he would have used his body to help her expel the effects of the drug.
However, he had kept his promise and didn’t lay a finger on her.
She guessed that this was probably why she felt so safe and comforted around him.
Corey returned to the hospital room after heading out to get her something to eat. He said reassuringly, “Don’t worry. I’ve already taught the Lin guy such a good lesson that he’s no longer able to care for himself. I don’t think Rorey will dare to be so bold in the near future.”
Rosiley looked at him curiously and asked, “What did you do to her?”
He shrugged and said, “Nothing much. I just gave her a good slap. I don’t usually hit women but if they behave like beasts, then I have no qualms. Don’t you agree, bro?”
Sachin said icily, “Yes.”
