Rose’s POV;
“Why didn’t you change?” She asked confusedly.
“Thank you for helping me but I really want her to like me as I am. Elijah accepted me for who I am” I said
“I understand and trust me, I really appreciate you being real. Let’s go meet his mother then” She smiled, she was so understanding.
She is an angel!
We moved towards the great hall again and then through the center, we moved inside another long chamber.
After walking for a while, we finally reached near the Royal chamber.
“Does Elijah stays here too?”
“Nope, Elijah and Cora stays at the first floor”
“Entire floor?”
“Yeah. You have been given room adjacent to Elijah for now. I will take you there later”
“I am afraid I will get lost in this huge castle” I replied
“Don’t worry, you will be all fine” She added
She knocked on the door which looked like it was straight from fairy tale.
“Aunt Phebe, can we make your acquaintance?” She asked
“Please come inside, my dear Layla” came a melodic voice from inside.
She opened the door and we went inside to see three females standing in front of us. One of them looked like she was a teenager. she had a youthful cute face, she resembled a lot like Elijah but in a feminine way.
The other two ladies were quite beautiful. They barely looked like they were in their mid late thirties.
‘Do they even age?’ I thought
Layla guided me inside and did curtsey. She pinched my back and I understood the signal and did the same.
“No need for formalities. We are family” one of the females said with a bright smile.
“Let me introduce you to her highness Luna Queen Phebe Smith” She pointed towards the woman wearing a black velvety gown which was embellished with gold embroidery and diamonds.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you” I did curtsey again. The woman nodded her head elegantly but she was staring intensely at me which was making me shiver.
Then Layla pointed towards the woman who previously smiled at me warmly and added,
“This is Her highness Luna Princess Crystal Spencer. She is Crown Prince Alpha Elijah’s aunt and Alpha King’s sister”
“Pleasure to meet you her…” I was about to do curtsey but she stopped me.
“Nice to meet you too, dear”
Her words and tone were heartwarming. The woman was wearing the most expensive clothes and jewellery but yet she was so humble.
After looking at the two women, I regretted refusing Layla’s help.
“This is..” Layla was about to introduce the third female when she was cut off by the young girl.
“Oh please. Let me introduce myself. I am Cora Smith. Elijah’s younger sister and you are my sister in law” the young lady was quite casual.
She was wearing branded clothes for sure but with no bold brand name and comfortable fit. She was indeed a girl born in pure royalty.
“Hello, her highness…”
“Give me a break, call me Cora” She waved her hand.
“It’s nice meeting you, Cora” I smiled, I like her already.
“Pleasure is all mine” Cora held my shoulders, she was literally jumping with happiness.
“You are so pretty. Finally, we found you. Now, father and brother won’t argue on a daily basis about those bimbos living next to our pack to be my sister in law” The girl hugged me.
I chuckled when she took a deep sigh but soon, my smile faded when I saw his mother’s piecering gazes at me.
I parted from Cora, standing there like a minion.
“You may introduce her to us” Elijah’s mother
She was staring at like she was trying to recognize me.
From the corner of my eyes, I saw Layla swallowing hard before she forced a smile.
“She is Rosaline but you can call her Rose”
“Rosaline…?” Luna Phebe asked with an arched eyebrow.
“She hasn’t changed yet” Layla smiled
I am pretty sure she was asking about my surname and Layla intentionally skipped it.
“You look familiar” She was still staring at me.
“Yeah, she has a common face” Layla nodded her head with a white lie.
“Nope, she doesn’t. She has the most beautiful features. This face isn’t common but I feel like I have seen it somewhere before” Her eyes narrowed at me.
I wasn’t even given the time to be flattered as she was glaring at me again.
“I feel that too” Luna Crystal added.
She took a good glance at my face and her eyes widened.
“Do you remember something?” Luna Queen Phebe asked with an arched eyebrow.
“Not really” She looked like she clearly lied.
“Layla, are you hiding something?” Luna Queen Phebe asked, eyes glued on Layla.
“Why are you being suspicious of the girl you just met. You were the most excited person to meet your daughter in law and the moment you saw her, you took the role of mother in law.” Luna Crystal shook her head in disappointment.
“Yeah, I also can’t believe it. You even fought with Uncle Cole to support Elijah” Layla added with disappointment but I could see the beads of sweat popping up on her forehead. Still, she was trying her best to sound confident.
“It’s not like that. I accept Elijah’s choice but I feel like I have seen her somewhere but I couldn’t remember where” Luna Queen
“Then let’s just wait for Brother Elijah to arrive and you can ask him everything yourself” came voice of a male specimen from behind.
I turned around to see a young boy same age as Cora standing at the door.
He was a bit too tall for his age. He was almost tall as Elijah. He had chestnut brown hair and hazel green eyes. The kid was way too handsome for his age but something about him was weird.
He looked a bit too familiar. Like I have seen him many times in my life but I was meeting him for the first time.
The most familiar part was his hazel green eyes which was looking deep into my soul at the moment.
