Lee sighed deeply and said, “Rest you know already”
Edward frowned and asked, “Why were you hiding her from me?”
Elizabeth replied, “Because as I heard from Mrs. King that she wanted Autumn to accept your child with Amaya and Autumn said those harsh words to Mrs. King I thought it might be not safe for her after offending such big personalities”
“But why me?” Edward asked again in an annoyed tone, Elizabeth looked down and said, “I thought that maybe you will also not want Autumn as hurdle between you and your unborn child with Amaya”
“Will you stop saying that again and again I don’t have anything to do with that child and again it was just a mistake which I committed being drunk”
“I already told them to abort that child, if I will ever have any child it will be Autumn only” Edward announced.
Lee asked grumpily, “If you really love my daughter then why did you hide that Amaya is working with you in your company”
Edward sighed helplessly and said, “My mom forced me to let Amaya work in our office I tried to deny her but she was adamant, I thought in some days I will give a lot of work to Amaya and she will leave being frustrated”
“I know Autumn didn’t like Amaya and I didn’t want her to take any stress so I thought I can handle it, she always knew about Amaya’s feelings but I was the fool to underestimate her gut feeling and thinking Amaya was naive”
He got down from the sofa and squatted on his knees and said holding Elizabeth’s hands, “Please believe me I don’t have words to describe how much I regret my mistake and I would do anything to repent my sin but please don’t take away Autumn from me, I can’t live without her”
“She is my lifeline and now she is pregnant please don’t apart me from her and my baby”
Elizabeth is an old lady and she has seen many things in her life, she knows that money has supreme power and Edward is a supreme power holder still he is on his knees in front of his own employee, which shows how much he loves Autumn.
If he wants he can simply throw her and Lee out of the mansion and never let them reach Autumn but instead he is looking forward to their support.
Elizabeth held his hand and said assuring him, “I am not that cruel to part a baby from his father”
Lee interrupted, “Mom, how can you?”
Elizabeth looked at him and said politely, “Lee you also know deep down in your heart that only he can protect her well”
“We cannot keep hiding ourselves for lifetime, our princess already lost our love once, she lost the warm of a family, we cannot let her and her baby to live away from Edward”
Lee said grumpily, “But Mom believe me if he ever did anything and made my princess unhappy I will take our daughter and get her married to a better man than him”
Listening that Lee would let Autumn marry another man Edward’s anger rose rapidly but he controlled because he understands as a father Lee is concerned about his daughter’s happiness.
Lee looks at Edward and said sternly, “I am watching you”
Edward nodded assuring him he was about to ask the further question when they were interrupted by a maid, “Master, dinner is ready shall we take it for Mam”
Edward stood up and said “No I will take her food by the time prepare the table for three”
Elizabeth retorted, “We cannot have dinner with you, you are still our Master”
Edward turned towards her and said, “That’s not going to happen” saying that he walked away.
Lee cursed under his breath, “Dominating Jerk” which didn’t go unheard of from Edward but he smiled innocently like a kid and walked away.
But before stepping on the steps he turned towards them who were still sitting on the sofa and said, “We are not done yet, I want to talk after dinner, please come to my study room”
Elizabeth and Lee looked at each other and nodded and Edward left followed by the maids holding Autumn’s food.
He entered his bedroom and found Autumn still sleeping peacefully, she looked pale and again guilt hit him.
He waved the maids to keep the food and leave, and maids did as ordered. After maids left the room he sat on the bed next to Autumn and said gently, “Baby, wake up it’s dinner time please have some food”
Autumn frowned and felt annoyed and said turning her side and showing her back to Edward.
He smiled seeing her like this she had always been like this, he slowly leaned towards her ears and said, “If you don’t want to have no problem, I will ask maids to take away all these food, it’s a pity that we have to throw all your favourite food”
Saying that he sat straight and was about to get up from the bed when he felt a soft hand holding his wrist, he saw her sitting on the bed pouting and she said in her sleepy tone, “I want my food”
Edward nodded and brought the food tray on the bed and started feeding her slowly.
After she was done he fed her medicines, tucked her in bed and left the room, although he wants to be with her but her innocent eyes make him feel guiltier.
God knows how he will face her, he feels as if her eyes are asking him questions. Why did you do that? And for which he doesn’t have the answer.
He headed towards the dining table where Lee and Elizabeth were already waiting for them. It was quite abnormal for maids when they saw Elizabeth and Lee have food with Edward.
