“Your Mumma had taken care of it, no one can come between us, we will have a very happy family, you know baby you will be the first grandchild of Kings, you will be their heir, your grandpa is also a little unhappy now but don’t worry as I said everything will be fine before you come to this world”
She looked at the sky and mumbled, “I will get what I want and specially when I have Mrs. Kings support, hope you are doing good there, Autumn”
Two weeks passed and there was no news of Autumn or Lee, Edward was losing his patience. Many thoughts started haunting him. What if someone harmed her.
He was only praying for her safety all the time.
He still didn’t want to give up, although he was busy with his work all the time but he was very much attentive about his surroundings, and in the last few days he had noticed that Elizabeth has been behaving suspiciously.
He had seen her beings stressed after attending a call. Although she tried her best to hide it and behave normally in front of others, Edward had already noticed it.
Every third day she will leave the mansion for some or other reason. He was trying to avoid this but today his heart and mind were not ready to listen to him.
So he decided to follow Elizabeth, he noticed that after walking out of the mansion she took a bus, his car was following the bus.
Soon she got down off the bus and started walking. Edward was also following her making sure not to get noticed.
After walking for fifteen minutes she reached the military hospital and headed towards the medical shop in the military hospital.
Edward was more suspicious now because while leaving the mansion she said she is going grocery shopping then what is she doing here? And why is buying so many medicines? For whom she is buying these medicines?
He was hiding himself behind a wall, he saw her collecting some medicines showing a card, he frowned seeing her giving the card because it looked like a military card.
In past, she said she is taking medicines from the military hospital as she has a friend there, then how come she is having the military card, he tried to dust off this suspicion saying to himself that might be she is using her friend’s card because as much as he knows about her she is not from a defence background.
After collecting and paying the bills Elizabeth walked out of the hospital and started walking. Edward followed her.
What was disturbing him more was after coming out of the hospital she covered her mouth with a mask and head with a scarf. Why is she doing this? Where is heading to? Why is she trying to hide herself?
After walking for twenty minutes she entered an old shabby building, but before entering the building she looked around making sure that no one saw her entering the building.
Edward was fast enough to hide himself, after making sure that no one noticed her she entered the building.
It was a three-story building and Elizabeth didn’t take the lift, because of which Edward was unable to know which floor or flat she went to.
He lost his track, god knows why he was having weird feelings near this building, he felt his heart was ready to come out, ripping his body, it was beating so fast.
He didn’t know what to do, he rushed to the first floor following Elizabeth but he didn’t find her on any of the three floors.
There were seven flats on one floor; he doesn’t know in which Elizabeth entered. At first, he thought next time he would again follow but his heart was not at ease.
He walked out of the building, but had an uneasy feeling walking away from the building, he turned again and looked at the building. He knew it would sound absurd but he felt like this building was attracting him towards it.
Losing his heart, he dialed Zack’s number and said, “I want my men at this location within fifteen minutes” saying that he hung up the call and sent his location to Zack.
And in the next fifteen minutes, around fifty people wearing black suits were standing in front of Edward.
Edward was relieved that Elizabeth had not left the building till now it will be easy for him to find her out from these twenty-one flats.
Edward his men, “I want you to knock all the doors and look for Elizabeth, she is in any of twenty one flats, I don’t want other residents to be disturbed in this operation”
As per his instructions his men started searching each and every flat.
As per Edward’s order, his men knocked on every door politely and showed Elizabeth’s photo, and asked about her.
It’s been half and there was no update. Edward was feeling like he would tear down the entire building in the next few minutes if he didn’t get any news because of the constant tremors in his heart.
He saw one of his men running towards him and Zack, and he said, “Master, we checked the entire building we found nothing suspicious but the last flat we have been knocking from last fifteen minutes but they are not opening the door”
Zack said, “Maybe they are not at home”
The man replied, “That is not possible because we can hear child crying inside”
Edward frowned, he started walking towards the building taking long strides, and headed towards the flat about which his man informed him.
He stood in front of the door with a straight face and ordered his men, “break the door”, everyone was a little startled, because it was illegal and Edward was not a person who breaks the laws.
As it was their Boss’s order they had to follow it, one of his men came forward, he was the bulkiest in all of them.
He started kicking the door and the sound of the children’s crying was increasing and so was Edward’s heartbeat. And on the third kick, the door flung open.
