Chapter 76: Hurry Out

Leaning closer, Bianca explained softly, “I’m here for Sophia.”
“You did all this for Sophia, yet you’re flirting with her husband?” Dave’s voice was sharp.
Bianca hesitated before replying, “Mr. Evans, this is my business. It’s not your problem, right?”
Narrowing his eyes, Dave responded in a questioning tone, “It’s not my problem? You forget who helped you contact Gabriel?”
Bianca quietly acknowledged that without Dave’s help, she wouldn’t have been able to meet Sophia.
Uncertain how to reply, Bianca’s confidence faltered, and she instinctively sought comfort in Dave’s embrace. “Okay, I’m thankful for your help. I’ll make sure to show my appreciation after today.”
As Dave held her close, their eyes locked. Tonight, Bianca exuded a certain innocence that ignited desire effortlessly.
Dave’s voice softened. “How will you thank me?”
Bianca replied casually, her gaze briefly drifting to the room beyond the bathroom door. “You can have whatever you desire.”
In a flash, Dave kissed her passionately.
Bianca’s mind went blank for a moment. Dave smelled like cedar, and his breath felt cool against her skin.
Their eyes met, and Dave’s gaze was intense, locking onto Bianca’s clear, wide eyes.
Bianca’s eyes widened, sparkling like a deer caught off guard.
Dave felt even more excited by her reaction. He held her tightly, eager for more.
Bianca leaned into his chest, but then she abruptly pushed him away.
“What are you doing, Mr. Evans?” she asked nervously, biting her pink lip. Her flushed face looked incredibly captivating.
Dave grinned. “Didn’t you say I could have whatever I want?”
She had said that, but… She never imagined it would be like this.
Bianca’s panic intensified as she looked around, pleading, “Mr. Evans, I didn’t mean that…”
“You want to take back what you said? You little liar.” Dave playfully pinched her soft cheek, chuckling softly.
Speechless, Bianca lifted her head, defiantly staring at Dave’s handsome face. “I won’t take it back. But… Not right now.”
Dave raised an eyebrow, amused. “Alright, we can pick up where we left off once we’re back home.”
Bianca’s brow furrowed, sensing she might have fallen into Dave’s trap.
Just then, a knock echoed on the bathroom door. Gabriel’s voice called from the other side, “Bianca, finished with your shower? I’m getting impatient here. Please hurry out!”
“Just a moment, Mr. Lee. Coming right out,” Bianca called back.
With a subtle narrowing of his eyes, Dave released his grip on Bianca and headed towards the door.
Bianca quickly pulled him back and asked, “Mr. Evans, what are you planning?”
Dave smirked. “He seems eager, doesn’t he? I thought I’d go out and entertain him a bit more.”
“Well…” Bianca noticed he was getting ready for a fight. She calmed him down, saying gently, “Don’t worry. I’ll take care of him. I have a plan.”
Dave studied her intently. “What did you do to him?”
With a sneaky smile, Bianca said, “You’ll find out soon.”
Then, a door creaked open, cutting them off.
A loud voice yelled, “You bitch! Trying to take my boyfriend! I’ll tear you apart!”
It was Ashley. Why was she here? Dave looked at Bianca and suddenly understood.
Bianca had left the door open on purpose for Ashley to come in.
Today, Ashley really annoyed Joshua, and he wasn’t answering her calls. Later, feeling worried, she got a mysterious message hinting that Joshua was with another woman in a hotel room.
Angry, Ashley hurried to confront what she thought was cheating.
But when she got there, Joshua wasn’t around. Confused, someone grabbed her from behind. Gabriel, looking excited, started kissing her neck. “Beautiful, you’re here at last. I’ve been waiting for a long time.”
“Hey! Who are you? Let me go!” Ashley fought back, looking scared.
Gabriel couldn’t control himself. He threw Ashley onto the bed and started ripping her clothes off.
“Help me! I’m being assaulted!” Ashley screamed.
Just then, Bianca and Dave came out of the bathroom and left the room in a hurry.
Soon after they left, the police arrived. They burst into the room and grabbed Gabriel. “We got a report of an attempted assault. Come with us to the station for questions!”
Ashley quickly fixed her clothes and huddled in fear.
An officer spoke to her. “Miss, we need you to come to the station for questioning.”
“He’s the one who attacked me. You can arrest him. I don’t want to go to the police station!” Ashley cried out, terrified.
“We need your help,” the officer insisted, then told his colleague, “Take her too!”
As the police led Gabriel through the hotel lobby, a swarm of journalists suddenly rushed in from outside.
A big crowd formed, blocking any movement.
Cameras from different news channels kept taking pictures, and some were live on air to report the news quickly.
Reporters pushed forward, holding out microphones, trying to get the scoop. “Can you confirm if Gabriel Lee, the head of Steadfast Global Trading, is being investigated for assault?”
“Mr. Gabriel Lee, as the company’s CEO, can you explain why you did something that goes against your public image? What about your wife, Sophia, the famous actress? Aren’t you worried she’ll find out?”
“Mr. Lee, is there a conflict between you and your wife? Could your actions be related to Sophia’s sudden disappearance from the public eye?”
The police struggled to control the crowd and move Gabriel, but the reporters kept pushing. Then they noticed Ashley, looking disheveled, following behind them.
“She seems new to acting. I’ve seen her in some commercials!”
“Could she have gone to the police because things didn’t go well in some behind-the-scenes situations?”
“In that case, it’s hard to tell if it’s an assault or something shady.”
People nearby quickly pulled out their phones and started snapping pictures of Ashley, who was covering her face and begging, “Please, stop! Stop taking pictures!”
Suddenly, a gasp swept through the crowd. “Sophia just tweeted something!”
****
It had been five years since Sophia vanished, and her Twitter account stayed quiet all that time. But then, she posted something that got everyone’s attention, sparking a big online search.
In a heartfelt article, Sophia accused Gabriel of hurting her and talked about the years of suffering she endured, which made her hide away from everyone.
The article came with a shocking photo showing bruises all over her arms, a clear sign of what she went through.
Even though Sophia didn’t directly talk about being raped by Gabriel, people started talking a lot online about her experiences of being hurt and trapped. The internet was buzzing with discussions about Sophia, and comments were pouring in fast.
“Gabriel is awful! He hurt my favorite star.”
“I thought Sophia left acting for a quiet life. I had no idea she was suffering so much.”
“That jerk, Gabriel, deserves to be locked up.”
